This may or may not be in the right forum...

This may or may not be in the right forum section, but I figure it applies to more than just 3gs, so I'll ask here...
I just picked my engine up from the machine shop the other day, after a full rebuild, and I'm reassembling everything now. The Honda factory service bible suggests using a liquid gasket compound on the main oil seals at either end of the crank, and I'm not exactly sure what that would be/where to find it... The people at the auto parts store [who are idiots anyway] had no idea what I was talking about, as usual, and I haven't been able to find much in basic half-assed online searches this afternoon... Does anyone know what is ideal to use for this? I'm trying to get this done quickly, but I want it all done right, obviously - the engine had almost 350,000 miles on it when I rebuilt it, and my goal is to beat that now haha.
I had kind of a hair brained idea earlier about potentially being able to get away with using ceramic brake lubricant [that purple shit in the little packets], because it's a non-hardening silicone that seems like it MIGHT work [probably won't try it anyway], but I'm really pretty lost here...
