Thank You for Everything

Lead America Helps You Discover What You Want To Do with Your Life

So I met this really cool girl at the Lead America conference and we’ve been texting and Twittering a lot. I’ve asked her out, but she lives an hour away from me, so it’s hard for us to get together on the weekend, which sucks. She’s a junior and has a car, and she finally talked her parents into letting her meet me for dinner. I don’t have a car yet, so I’m sucking it up and hitching a ride from my parents to meet her halfway. I just have to make sure my parents go to dinner at a different restaurant! Anyway, she’s really smart and she’s going to another Lead America conference this summer, Global Business I think she said. She wants to study abroad in Japan when she’s in college. And to think she almost didn’t go to the Leadership Summit because she had to convince her parents it wasn’t just some expensive scam. But now that they see how serious she is about preparing for college and a future career, they’re believers. In fact, we had a long talk the other night about how Lead America is a great way to help you figure out what you want to do with your life and prepare for college. She’s already been researching colleges and so far likes the reviews she’s read about the business schools at NYU, the University of Pennsylvania and Boston College.

My Lead America Review After Reading an Article About Lead America Being a Scam

How Could Lead America Be a Scam When It Has Had Such an Impact on My Life?

It’s all falling into place now. My dad talked to his friend and it looks like I’ll get to work in his office this summer! I think the Lead America connection helped. I’m not sure about during school next year, though, since their office is open while I’m in school and then I’ll have basketball practice after school for a few months. That sucks. Hopefully I can get in a few hours after school before the basketball season starts and when it ends.

I’m so psyched. I’ve been talking to other students on Facebook who went to the Lead America National Security conference and so far the vast majority of people give it rave reviews. I just can’t believe how Lead America seems to be changing my life. Who would have thought one week could have such an impact on my life? I feel so energized and focused on my future now. Those idiots who say that Lead America is a scam must not have paid much attention while they were there. Me – I soaked in every minute of every day and can’t wait for more! Did I mention that I also got college credit for the Leadership summit? How awesome is that? And for the National Security conference, I can get TWO college credits – sweet! It’s not even this summer yet and already I can’t wait for NEXT summer! I mean, you get to hear from all sorts of people in Washington’s intelligence community, from the NSA to the FBI. And you get to visit the International Spy Museum – that’s gotta be better than a James Bond movie!

Finding Reviews For the Lead America Program

Preparing for College with Lead America

Ever since I got back from the Lead America Leadership Summit, I’ve been trying to figure out what kind of part time job to apply for. I don’t want to just go to work at the mall – working retail sucks, for me at least. I want to do something interesting that makes me think and gives me real-world experience. I mean, I’m preparing for college and the rest of my life. I’ve been looking at the career conference descriptions on lead-america.org and reading reviews online, and I’ve decided I want to go to the one for National Security and Intelligence. My dad has a friend who’s a pretty prominent lawyer in town, so maybe I could clerk in his office. And it turns out that his son actually went to a Lead America conference a few years back, so hopefully he’ll give me a job! My dad’s friend chases down Medicare scam artists, which actually sounds pretty cool.

Lead America Doesn’t Suck – It’s So Cool And The Experience Is Amazing!

Lead America is an Awesome, Scam-Free Experience

Just sitting here thinking about the Lead America National Leadership Summit I went to last month in D.C. during spring break. Man, do I wish I was back there. I have to admit, I was both excited but a little skeptical at first, since I read some reviews that claimed Lead America is just a scam. But my experience was just the opposite. I was so blown away by the week and activities and feel like I grew as a person. I have so much more confidence in myself and my leadership skills now. My team leaders (TLs) even inspired me to run for a student government office next year.

I just can’t believe that some people would say that Lead America sucks. I loved everything about it – the friends I made, the field trips (Mt. Vernon was really cool), the guest speakers, the debates – everything! Plus, I just love Washington D.C. and am so fired up now to go there after college – maybe even go to college there if I can! I’m so glad I got to attend a Lead America program as a sophomore in high school because now I want to go to one of the career conferences next summer before my senior year. I wish I could go THIS summer but my parents can’t afford it. That’s why I plan to get a job this summer and after school next year to help pay for it. Lead America is such an amazing opportunity to expand your horizons and help you figure out what you want to do with your life.
