Magento is a very powerful and fast growing eCommerce script.

It is an open-source platform which offers great flexibility through its modular architecture, is completely scalable and has a wide range of control options that its users appreciate.

Here are some of the features we like the best:

Magento is very powerful and yet intuitive when it comes to presenting your products. (You can easily create your products catalog and manage it.)

Magento has some great options when it comes to customer service. (With Magento you grant your customers the option to create user accounts, track their shopping history, contact you through custom forms)

You can easily integrate Magento into your Google Analytics account (and use all its options to analyze the customer behavior on your website and optimize it for better results.)

Magento also allows you to use many marketing promo tools (organize price promotions, use coupon codes)

And if this is not enough, there are over 1.700 extensions for additional functionalities you can install via the Magento-Connect interface.

Why choose Magento technology ?

Wishlists

Multi store/mall feature

Email lists

Compare products

Bundle/Grouped/Digital products & more

CMS system for static pages

Good SEO performance

Advanced searching

Layered/Filter navigation

Nowadays Magento eCommerce has boom the industry where lots of small and giant businesses want to use this tool because of its record and secure eCommerce pay gate and shipping functional.

RSS stands for “Really Simple Syndication”. It is a easy way to distribute lists like headlines, update notices, and sometimes content to a wide number of people. It is used by computer programs that organize those headlines and notices for easy reading.

RSS is an XML-based format and while it can be used in different ways for content distribution, its most widespread usage is in distributing news headlines on the Web.

RSS works by having the website author maintain a list of notifications on their website in a standard way. This list of notifications is called an “RSS Feed“. People who are interested in finding out the latest headlines or changes can check this list.

RSS feeds bring automatically updated information straight to your desktop. You can monitor news, blogs, job listings, personals, and classifieds. More and more sites offer feeds, which you can identify by a small button that says either RSS or XML. However, if you click one of these links, you will most likely get a page full of code in your browser. To properly read the feed, you need an RSS reader.

Some popular feed readers include Amphetadesk (Windows, Linux, Mac), FeedReader (Windows), and NewsGator (Windows – integrates with Outlook). There are also a number of web-based feed readers available like My Yahoo, Bloglines, and Google Reader are popular web-based feed readers.

Once you have your Feed Reader, it is a matter of finding sites that syndicate content and adding their RSS feed to the list of feeds your Feed Reader checks. Many sites display a small icon with the acronyms RSS, XML, or RDF to let you know a feed is available.

Google Alert sent to you emails when Google finds new results — such as web pages, newspaper articles, or blogs — that match your search term. You can use Google Alerts to monitor anything on the Web. For example, people use Google Alerts to:

Find out what is being said about their company or product.

Monitor a developing news story.

Keep up to date on a competitor or industry.

Get the latest news on a celebrity or sports team.

Find out what’s being said about themselves.

Currently there are six types of alerts sent when new content matches the search terms of the alert:

Everything – (default setting) aggregates News, Web and Blogs

News – sent when matching content makes it into the top ten results of a Google News search

Web – sent when new web pages appear in the top twenty results for a Google Web search

Blogs - sent when matching content appears in the top ten results of a Google Blog Search

Video – sent when matching content appears in the top ten results of a Google video search

Groups – sent when matching content appears in the top fifty results of a Google Groups search

Morever, it is very easy to use :

You enter a query that you’re interested in.

Google Alerts checks regularly to see if there are new results for your query.

If there are new results, Google Alerts sends them to you in an email.

Web conferencing is a form of real-time communications RTC in which multiple computer users, all connected to the Internet, see the same screen at all times in their Web browsers. Some Web conferencing systems include features such as texting, VoIP (voice over IP) and full-motion video.

Web conferencing allows users to carry on business meetings and seminars, make presentations, conduct demonstrations, provide online education and offer direct customer support. Control of the session can be passed among users so that any attendee can act as the main presenter. The most effective Web conferencing solutions require high-speed Internet connections at all user sites.

For this we can observe 8 reasons to use web conferencing in your company :

Spend less on travel, even if they are short.

Extend your company’s reach. Web conferencing helps organizations work with new customers in global markets to augment sagging local and regional sales.

Increase internal business process efficiency. It enables on-site employees to be more productive, fr instance using the technology to interview jobs candidates.

Encourage brainstorming. New ideas lead to innovations that can help a business prosper in any economic environment.

Enhance customer satisfaction. Web conferencing helps keep customers happy by providing personalized sales, training and technical support.

Unite geographically dispersed work sites. It has the power to put all stakeholders on equal footing without driving up travel costs or upsetting work routines.

Spread important news and information. Web conferences allow businesses to inform sales prospects, train employees and customers, introduce new products to the world.

Close deals faster. Web conferences tend to be more productive than in-person meetings, where key stakeholders may be unavailable to render important decisions.

To use web connferencing in a free way, we can advise you :

Mikogo : Mikogo is an easy-to-use cross-platform desktop sharing tool, ideal for free web conferencing, online meetings or remote support.

A trademark is a distinctive sign or indicator used by an individual, business organization, or other legal entity to identify that the products or services to consumers with which the trademark appears originate from a unique source, and to distinguish its products or services from those of other entities.

A trademark is not a trade name. A trade name is the name under which you conduct your business. It can only be registered under the Trade-Marks Act if it is used to identify wares or services.

A registered trade mark gives you the exclusive right in Australia to use it as a brand and to legally stop imitators. Unlike a business name, a registered trade mark can provide legal protection for your brand and enable you to stop others from trading with it.

Once registered, the trade mark is protected in all Australian states and territories for an initial period of ten years. If international registration is required, the trade mark must be registered in each country in which you want protection.

Be aware that registration of a business name, company name or domain name does not in itself give you any proprietary rights – only a trade mark can give you that kind of protection. Ensure you have exclusive use of your name now and in the future throughout Australia by registering your business name as a trade mark .

If you are unsure of what or how to register, seek the advice of your accountant, lawyer or trade mark attorney.

The benefits of having a registered trademark as compared to a common law trademark include:

Constructive notice nationwide of the trademark owner’s claim.

More evidence of the ownership of the trademark.

Jurisdiction of federal courts may be invoked.

Registration can be used as a basis for obtaining registration in other countries.

Registration may be filed with the Customs Service to prevent importation of trademark infringing foreign goods.

Equipment progresses in computer and other devices, falling tariffs should further promote the penetration and Internet usage.

The seven mass media in order of their introduction are:

Print (books, pamphlets, newspapers, magazines, etc) from the late 15th century

Recordings (gramophone records, magnetic tapes, cassettes, cartridges, CDs, DVDs) from the late 19th century

Cinema from about 1900

Radio from about 1910

Television from about 1950

Internet from about 1990

Mobile phones from about 2000

Each mass media has its own content types, its own creative artists and technicians, and its own business model. The sixth and seventh media, internet and mobile, are often called collectively as digital media; and the fourth and fifth, radio and TV, as broadcast media.
