Is Spam Really a Problem?

I've recently seen articles that say the spam problem is solved and all the alarm is overblown. Wish I could remember where - Business Week, I think.

Is there really a spam problem, or has anti-spam software completely eliminated it, at least for large corporations? Is anyone out there still annoyed by spam -- annoyed enough to do something about it?

If there is no problem, why all the alarm? Just a bunch of busy-body techies complaining? Will the anti-spam software companies go out of business? Since spam is fully blocked, why do the spammers continue to send the stuff out?

What is your experience, at work and at home? Is this still a problem, or has it been solved?

Or maybe it's not a problem any more ... it's just an "issue." What do you think?

Hello. This is just to get my feet wet in blogging. Not so sure I like having a blog with a bunch of competitors' ads around it, but who knows, it might work.
