Seeing Double

Tis' the month for drinking, so I tried Double Cross Vodka this weekend and made a cocktail as they suggested on their website (Tip: Always go on a companies website especially products you like because they always seem to have some sort of perk i.e. coupons or as in this case recipes). Well, the drink lived up to its name because I was "seeing double".

According to its website, Double Cross Vodka is made in the Slovak Republic using a seven-step distillation process, and is filtered seven times using diamond-dust micro filters, active charcoal, and limestone.

I definitely liked this and its extra clean taste! Also, try to the decorate the drink just as pictured because if it goes in pretty at least you won't feel as bad just in case it does not come out pretty! Just kidding.

Seeing Double Recipe:

- 3 oz. Double Cross Vodka
- 1/2 oz. Blueberry Syrup (I picked a bottle up from Sur La Table: Wild Maine Blueberry Syrup)
- 2 sprigs of thyme
- blue cheese stuffed in blueberries

Muddle thyme and syrup. Add ice and Double Cross. Shake well and strain into martini glass. Garnish with three bleu cheese stuffed blueberries (it is easier than it sounds).

Easy Entertaining

For the past few weeks my in-laws bunked at our place as one of their stops before heading to Japan. Juggling work and school I rarely had time to cook or do anything to entertain my guests. I remembered these cookies from last year’s holiday season and decided to pick one up.
I think you always need some sort of snack hanging around the house as a hostess, especially if one of your guests is 21 months old. Pepperidge Farm Entertaining cookies is just what the doctor ordered. It was a hit... just place a few out in a nice platter and WALA everyone’s happy and I get a star for being a wonderful host.

I rarely get to update my ipod with new music or get to listen to the new stuff. (My significant other normally does that stuff for me)
Well, this proves it - I ran across this song 5 minutes ago while adding new music myself to my workout list. OMG .. so good! OMG .. a year behind makes me want to keep up from now on. Can't believe I missed a year of this.

Ice Cream!

I like the Publix Brand Cherry Nut Ice Cream. Unfortunately, NYC does not have a Publix Supermarket. Surprisingly, my lovely significant other decided to pick me up something that’s almost as good :
Breyer’s Cherry Vanilla Ice Cream. It’s already 11:35 p.m. but I figure why not end my unhealthy eating habits with a big bowl of it Since I am trying to start to eat healthy- from tomorrow of course!
