This piece is of a gentleman and lady with their maid servent having tea. Stored in a curio cabinet. The vintage lace is much more fragile than that of the newer figurines. Finest details. It is one of unterweissbach larger pieces.

Unterweißbach is a municipality in the district Saalfeld-Rudolstadt, in Thuringia, Germany.

Markings: Stamped Unterweissbach on the bottom underside with logo. Used between 1958 and 1976. Final version, note the small 'V.E.B' in the crown.

Beautiful antique sterling silver mistress match safe, circa 1896, made by Battin & Co. The front opens and reveals an original picture of a lady. The match safe has a gorgeous, very detailed, high relief floral pattern on the front and back of the match safe. The match safe is in overall excellent condition.

The match safe measures 2 5/8" by 1 3/8". The inside of the match safe is marked "Sterling 158 PAT. MARCH 31 1896" and the it looks like the Battin & Co. hallmark on the inside rim of the match safe. The tension rod is in place and functioning well, but the top and bottom have to be squeezed a little to completely closed. There are no splits, holes or repairs. There is only one tiny ding on the non monogram side of the match safe. This is a gorgeous and rare, antique match safe made by Battin & Co.

This icon is the complete package—an extremely traditional style of icon with an exceedingly fine brass cover (oklad or riza). Note the elegant repoussé and chased metalwork on this icon. It is among the finest example of an Old Believer oklad that you will likely see anywhere—in a museum, cathedral, or at auction. St. Nicholas’ halo is particularly unusual—it actually covers the small images of Christ and the Virgin Mary. The halo may have been added after the original oklad was made, perhaps as a thank you to St. Nicholas after someone returned from treacherous sea travel. Look too at the sophisticated and careful chasing that details St. Nicholas’ robes, the clearly readable text, a shortened version of Mark 6:34, when Jesus arrived by boat to preach—“At that time, when he came out, saw much people, and he began to teach them many things.

fully adjustable cast iron, oak and leather chair, manufactured by the Indianapolis company of W.D. Allison. This would have been used by either a barber, a dentist or most likely a surgeon. With the simple use of foot pedals, hand knobs and levers you can adjust this in every direction. It has its original paint and gold trim. It measures approx. 43" high, 24 1/2" wide, 34" from front to back. The seat (which turns up like an old piano stool) is 17 1/2" off the ground. At the end of each of the four legs is a small hole for mounting this on a stand or on casters. Once mounted the back foot pedal works very smoothly. All of the adjustments work great. There is a tear in the leather where you can see the old stuffing used for padding.

This microscope comes in a very nicely fitted horizontal “clamshell” style Mahogany wood case with a lock mechanism, but minus its key. In lieu of a working lock and key, the exterior of the case is equipped with a pair of hooks and pins that keep the case lid secured when the instrument is stored inside. The interior of the case is fitted with a wood rack that holds the additional objective lenses in their brass canisters along with the extra eyepiece, the stage forceps and a pair of brass tweezers. The exterior dimensions of the wood case are 15 ¾ inches long, 7 ½ inches wide and 5 ½ inches deep. The microscope with its accessories in the case weighs about 10 pounds.
