Yesterday was the first time I'd set foot inside the newly opened Lomography store near Chinatown, to attend a Lomokino workshop. The store's definitely a haven for those who love analogue cameras and all things retro (and they're very much fashionable too!).  The cameras on display came in all sorts of sizes and bright colours. Guess I've actually been busy these past few weeks. Hanging out with the group of film people and helping out with their fyp film was a real treat. I think I finally have a rough idea of what goes on in a film production. Besides, I'm guessing this is about as close I can get right now to an actual film set with the works. Got a lovely surprise in the email inbox a couple of days ago.




After the mandatory Steam client update, running the survey and filling out a simple questionaire, it was done! All that's left now, is to wait for the email to drop by so that I can get my hands on a beta of DOTA 2 along with 2 extra copies to pass to others.

Decided to try out Flash to do some idea sketching for storyboards, but I ended up diverting my energy to creating a troll-slug wearing deer antlers. Did I mention the part about it having arm extensions?

Doing woodwork is crazy business. 

First there's the sawing,

On Monday, all of us had to put up our installation works or do performances at any location around the premises. The preparations for this big event just killed off our weekends. We had never done this kind of thing before, and we didn't really know what to expect at the end of it all.

Apparently, the humble laser pointer had caused so much of a distraction during the first leg of the finals between the two teams, that the referee had to stop the game in  the 54th minute. The first semester of school is over.
And now's the perfect time to de-stress.

I mean, what are the odds right? You get a sms message on your phone informing  you that you've won (or rather, your simcard) has  won $10000 in some unknown lucky draw, and that you have to call a certain H.M. Zulkifli at the office petronas centre to claim your prize. Like I said, what are the odds of that happening anyway?
