At Netflix's big UK Showcase event earlier last week, Netflix confirmed the release date for Season 2 of Keira Knightley's hit spy thriller series, Black Doves.

Black Doves Season 2 will premiere on Netflix on November 5, 2026. It will be streaming on Netflix worldwide.

Attendees at the showcase event were also treated to exclusive first-look clip of the upcoming season. No footage has been released yet, but hopefully, Netflix will release it soon before its teaser trailer drops.

Matthew Macfadyen is returning on stage for A Christmas Carol Live Reading for one night only, in aid of Crisis. He's reuniting with two of his previous co-stars Jim Broadbent and Erin Corrin (who now stars as Elizabeth Bennet in the upcoming Netflix series, Pride and Prejudice coming soon, this fall).

A new look inside or making of featurette has been released for Focus Features's upcoming Sense and Sensibility (2026) film (starring Daisy Edgar-Jones and Esmé Creed-Miles as Elinor and Marianne Dashwood) adaptation based on Jane Austen's same title novel. From Focus Features and Working Title Films, distributor and producers of Pride & Prejudice (2005) film. A new poster has been released by Focus Features with a tagline: "No one knows your heart like a sister" to promote the film as its UK Cinema release date gets closer.

In UK Cinemas September 25, 2026 and in U.S. Theaters October 16, 2026.

Movie Casting News: Tom Hollander reunites with Pride & Prejudice co-stars Keira Knightley and Simon Woods in upcoming dark comedy 'The Worst'!

Here's a new further casting update of Simon Woods' upcoming feature film directorial debut The Worst, a dark comedy which he also wrote. This film is currently in-production and it stars his former Pride & Prejudice co-star Keira Knightley. And now, with this recent casting news update, looks like Tom Hollander along with Sam Claflin, Anna Maxwell Martin, and more has been added to the already fabulous ensemble cast. Unfortunately, Jamie Dornan, who was previously announced has left the production. No reason has been cited for his departure. My only guess would be scheduling conflict as he looks to have some upcoming film projects he's been busy working on.

So, with Tom joining 'The Worst" cast, we'll have another P&P mini cast reunion with Keira, Simon, and Tom!

Sam Claflin, Tom Hollander, Anthony Boyle and Josh Finan Among Ensemble Joining Keira Knightley and Alicia Vikander in Dark Comedy ‘The Worst’ (EXCLUSIVE)

With shooting now underway in the south of France on dark comedy “The Worst,” the production has added a major cohort of names to its already buzzy cast.

Sam Claflin (“F.A.S.T.,” “Daisy Jones and the Six”), Tom Hollander (“Gosford Park,” “The Night Manager”), Anthony Boyle (“I See Buildings Fall Like Lightning,” “The Altruists”), Josh Finan (“Say Nothing,” “Waiting for the Out”), Anna Maxwell Martin (“Star City,” “Until I Kill You”), Dustin Demri-Burns (“The Magic Faraway Tree,” “Slow Horses”) and Sian Clifford (“Fleabag,” “The Ballad of Wallis Island”) have joined the film, which was first announced by Variety earlier this year.

Zackary Momoh (“Doctor Sleep,” “Parish”) and Eka Chavleishvili (“Blackbird Blackbird Blackberry”) round out the ensemble.

The new additions join the previously announced Keira Knightley (“The Imitation Game, Pride & Prejudice”), Alicia Vikander (“Firebrand,” “The Danish Girl”) and Erin Kellyman (“Eleanor the Great,” “28 Years Later”). Meanwhile, Boyle replaces fellow Belfast-born actor Jamie Dornan, who was originally cast. Marking the feature directorial debut of Simon Woods, “The Worst” — which was launched at the European Film Market by Protagonist Pictures, Logical Pictures Group and UTA Independent Film Group — is described as a “wickedly entertaining class satire” that “skewers privilege, power and performative morality, turning an elegant couples’ getaway into a hilariously disastrous night to remember.”

The film centers on socialite Emily Fisher (Vikander) and her husband Max (Hollander) as they invite their equally wealthy friends to their new chateau in France for the night. Among the guests are a group of people who really can’t stand each other: Jim (Clafin) and his wife Holly (Knightley), a struggling diversity consultant who continuously clashes with everyone until she gets a migraine, and Danny (Boyle) a quick-witted talent agent that name-drops his client list every chance he gets. As the evening begins to unravel and dark secrets are revealed, waitress Niamh (Kellyman) finds herself right in the middle of their chaos.

Written and helmed by actor-turned-playwright-turned-director Woods (National Theatre’s “Hansard,” “Such a Lovely Day”), “The Worst” is being produced by Andy Berg and John Sachs of Eclipse Films, alongside BAFTA winner Josh Hyams of Promise Pictures. Frédéric Fiore, Ryan Wickers and Andrei Kamarowsky serve as executive producers for Logical Pictures Group, alongside Dave Bishop, James Pugh and George Hamilton for Protagonist Pictures and Charles Low for Eclipse.

Two-time BAFTA-winning filmmaker Joe Wright is attached to direct the feature take on the Tim Winton post-apocalyptic thriller novel Juice for Working Title Films.

The multi-Oscar-winning UK production company has optioned rights to Juice and set BAFTA and Emmy winner Abi Morgan to adapt.

Juice is set in a fractured and ravaged world following a climate-change disaster. A young husband and father is recruited into a top-secret resistance organization, joining the ranks of militia men tasked with targeting the isolated and wealthy culprits responsible for this global catastrophe. When a mission goes wrong, he finds himself on the run, having to fight to the end to survive in this hostile world.

Wright most recently directed The Agency for Showtime/Paramount+. His feature film credits include Atonement, Pride & Prejudice, Anna Karenina, Darkest Hour, Hanna and The Soloist.

I found out several years ago that his birthday's today and he shares the same birthday as Tom Hollander! They've worked together 3 times in 3 (Pride & Prejudice, The Soloist, and Hanna) of his 5 feature films.

Joe Wright (born 25 August 1972) is an English film director best known for Pride & Prejudice, Atonement, Hanna, and Anna Karenina.

Wright was born on 25 August 1972 in London, where his parents founded the Little Angel Theatre, a puppet theatre in Islington.

Wright always had an interest in the arts, especially painting.^[1] He would also make films on his Super 8 camera as well as spend time in the evenings acting in a drama club. Wright is dyslexic. He left school without any GCSEs.

Matthew Macfadyen is reuniting and lead starring with his Little Dorrit co-star Claire Foy in the small screen adaptation of David Nicholls romance You Are Here.

The eight-part BBC and Starz series, following the undeniable attraction between characters Michael and Marnie, is based on Nicholls' best-selling novel of the same name.

Matthew Macfadyen and Claire Foy will star in You Are Here, an eight-part adaptation of David Nicholls’ acclaimed, best-selling novel of the same name.

The BBC and Starz have greenlit the series, directed by Lenny Abrahamson (Normal People) and produced by Element Pictures.

Succession alum Macfadyen and The Crown‘s Foy will lead the cast as Michael and Marnie, respectively. When a mutual friend throws them together, the pair unexpectedly find themselves setting off on an epic walk.

Against the odds, they end up on the brink of a relationship that neither was looking for, but which might be exactly the one they both need. Michael and Marnie go coast-to-coast across the stunning — and soaking — English countryside, navigating an undeniable attraction that is as exhilarating as it is terrifying.

“I’m so delighted to be working on You Are Here with Element, the BBC, Starz and Lenny, whose work I’ve admired for many years,” said Nicholls, who also wrote the widely adapted One Day. “Matthew and Claire are both just dream casting, wonderful in comedy and drama, so detailed and thoughtful and sympathetic. Paramount+ just renewed Kelly Reilly's new hit series, Dutton Ranch (a spinoff series from Yellowstone) for a second season as 2 more episodes are yet to air for the current season. It scored a 12.9 million global viewers (on its first 7 days, marking the original series' launch in the streaming flatform's history) after its debut on Paramount+ last month (May 15, 2026).

The series also debut at 2.9 million total viewers during its two-episode debut on Paramount's network, making it the biggest cable series premiere per a press release.

Produced by Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios, season 1 also stars Finn Little, Juan Pablo Raba, Jai Courtney, J.R. Villarreal, Marc Menchaca and Natalie Alyn Lind, plus Oscar nominees Ed Harris and Annette Bening.

Dutton Ranch premiered with two episodes on Paramount+ on May 15, with new episodes dropping weekly on Fridays. The season 1 finale airs Friday, July 3.

Keira Knightley is returning to stage in London after 15 years as she's just been cast in a stage adaptation of The Lives of Others (See Ticket Info here) with Bridgerton star Luke Thompson, and Stephen Dillane, which will be adapted and directed by Robert Icke. It'll begin performances at London's Adelphi Theatre on October 14, 2026 prior to an official opening on October 29, 2026 for a limited engagement through January 9, 2027.

The world premiere of the stage adaptation of Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck’s 2007 Oscar-winning film The Lives of Others, adapted and directed by Robert Icke, will begin performances at London's Adelphi Theatre October 14 prior to an official opening October 29 for a limited engagement through January 9, 2027.

Oscar nominee Keira Knightley (The Imitation Game, Black Doves, The Misanthrope), Emmy winner Stephen Dillane (The Real Thing, The Tunnel, Game of Thrones), and Olivier nominee Luke Thompson (A Little Life, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Bridgerton) will lead the cast of the play, which explores artistic censorship, state surveillance, and the relationship between art and politics. Additional casting will be announced at a later date.

The production sees Icke and producer Sonia Friedman renew their creative partnership following their work on Oedipus, Manhunt, Hamlet, The Doctor, Oresteia, and 1984; Knightley and Friedman also worked together on The Children’s Hour.

Rosamund Pike, who's currently starring in the Olivier nominated play Inter Alia just won a Best Actress award tonight at the 2026 Olivier Awards! The award show was held at Royal Albert Hall in London, England (UK). Congratulations to Miss Pike for her first Olivier Award win!!

As I posted here yesterday, Rosamund will be making her Broadway debut in November 2026. According to Broadway.com, following a sold-out run at the National Theatre and another in the West End, the play will begin performances on November 10 and open on December 1 at the Music Box Theatre.
