Update with the space

We are still working super hard on fixing up our space. We hoped that we would be able to open doors on first Friday in March but we had to push it back to April. Unfortunately with all the work that still needs to be done to pass city inspection we most likely wont open until May.

We finally finished the floor and it looks great.

We also are almost finished painting the walls.

We are all exhausted but are super excited to see the transformation of the space.

Check out these beautiful prints we got to make for the very talented Lauren Hunt.

She created a design of the alphabet in sign language and had us screen print 6 different colored

versions of this design.

What's New with Printosaurus

WHAT'S NEW

1737 Oak Street, Kansas City, MO 64108

Printosaurus is moving into its first commercial space on 17th and Oak! This was an amazing find along with the affordable rent, however there are a lot of things needing fixing prior to our opening. We've been waiting nearly 2 months to move into here, but the landlord was very slow on removing all of his junk. I was astonished to see that the front of the space finally cleared out, which made for a productive evening. I enjoy working late at night, it is always nice and quiet. Our first task is to clean the floor by sanding it down to a newly-aged polished look. I'm really looking forward to seeing the transformation!

Removing all the junk stuck to the wooden floor by using a scraper. It is very tiresome and my entire body is aching from this. It also created a lot of dust and started to make me feel nauseous.... so it was a good thing I invested in some good masks!

Believe me this is not an easy task! I really wanted to get the floor finished tonight, but the mind and body wouldn't allow that.

New Stickers

When we got the printing job at KCAI, they asked us to give them a promotional item from our company... and we chose stickers! Who doesn't love stickers? We had only a week to get them printed and delivered so we went to Uprinting and the stickers are wonderful! The colors were great the price was great and they got delivered to us just on time.
Maybe you will see some around the city soon.

We were lucky to get this great job from the Kansas City Art Institute.

They are sending out moleskin sketchbooks to all the potential new students for next fall.

Wish I got one of these bad boys when I got accepted.

Climbing the Ladder Together

Since 2008 Def Club 3000 and Printosaurus have been working together

building up our companies. Today Def Club is growing so fast and so big and they are so amazing.

Def Club is a production company that works with photography, fashion, music, film and more.

We have printed so many t-shirts for these guys and they are all over the country and even in Europe. If you are in need of any of these services you should check these guys out, they mean business.

JCCC Senior Showcase

For the past couple of years we have done some screen printing for the soon to be graduates of Johnson county community college. Last year we made awesome "T-Bags" for graphic designer Cary Thrasher

This year we screen printed a logo for Joe Wheeler on his bamboo portfolio.

We also printed neck ties with a super funny and well designed image from designer Jeremy Kramer

Business Taxes my oh my

Tis the season for taxes and like usual we wait last minute to do everything. After calling a few local accountants we discover we cant afford the $500 charge just to file. So we went to
H & R block waited 45 minutes after our appointed time to find out they charge $700 to file taxes. After complaining to everyone we know our friends at screen tee told us about local friends at Circle Tax. Not only did they get us in right away, Amiee ( who saw us ) was a crazy calculating wizard. She whipped up what we owe for state taxes in a mere 10 minutes and told us our Federal taxes would be done in a week. All this for less than $200.
If anyone needs a super nice, affordable accountant go to Circle Tax; they are located in westport.

We got an amazing opportunity to design and print posters for Kansas City's best coffee roasting company, Broadway Cafe. They have about 50 wholesale accounts around the country and these posters will be little presents for them. The rest will be sold their 2 locations on broadway. Get them while they last, only a limited run of 100 were printed.
