howdy folks. the crazy has subsided [for the moment] and i am in the process of planning my trip to the east coast to photograph the bulk of my volunteers for my military spouse project. to my participants, i will be sending out emails with available dates and times. if you haven't received word from me by the end of this week, please go ahead and send me a quick note.

i have a few folks from my area that i've been photographing. i wanted to quickly introduce you to mel. she was kind enough to sit for me a couple of months ago. i've known mel forever. she was the skipper's wife of our very first squadron in lemoore. BKR baby! (top secret code for black knights rule!) we've had a number of inebriated walks through the neighborhood while our dudes were in the middle east doing what they do, still not 100% on what they actually do. she was and still is a great friend.

mel's been a military spouse for 13 years and has moved 8 times [we'll say 9 because she's currently packing out]. She has two kids, 3 step kids and endured a set of orders that lasted 33 months and her husband was only actually home for 3 of those months. nice! ;)

she's a jane of all trades and a really funny drinking buddy. meet mel....
