What would it be like to live in a world without laws? Pretty chaotic huh? We’re breaking down the 15 most ridiculous laws from all over the world not just because they’re ridiculous but because we think it’s even more outrageous that someone had to rule these laws in the first place.

Our most recent infographic brings you confirmed, real laws from around the world that are so silly you’ve probably never thought possible.

Make sure to post this fun infographic on your blog or site, or just share it on your Facebook, Google+ or Twitter account. Click to Enlarge.

});

As a bonus treat, here are some additional crazy laws from around the world, that didn’t make the cut:

It is an act of treason to place a postage stamp bearing the British monarch upside-down

In Wisconsin you cannot serve margarine instead of butter at a restaurant. According to the Food Regulation section of Wisconsin Legislation, the offender “may be fined not less than $100 nor more than $500 or imprisoned not more than 3 months or both”.

In Australia, after legislation in 2010, it became illegal to sell incandescent light bulbs but, there is a planet friendly reason for this law: The Australian Government wants to replace inefficient incandescent lights with more energy efficient alternatives.

A new state law in Chicago requires those who buy industrial drain cleaners and other caustic substances to provide photo identification and sign a log.

Israeli law bans models with a Body Mass index of 18.5 or less from appearing in advertising, even if this is their natural weight and not the result of an eating disorder.

In Michigan motorcycle riders 21 or older can ride without a helmet… by law.

Which other ridiculous laws from around the world do you know? Share the silliest regulations of your hometown with us. Maybe we’ll even have to create part two of this infographic!

No, I’m not referring to the NCAA teams…or Pamplona, or Yogi Bear. Bulls & Bears is the new slot machine game released by RTG and brought to you by Prism Casino. If you’re not very familiar with the Stock Market then you’ll find this game fascinating the same way I did.

Bulls & Bears refers to terms coined by the financial trading industry. According to ‘Investopedia’ a “Bull markets are characterized by optimism, investor confidence and expectations that strong results will continue”. On the other hand, a Bears Market as you can expect is the other side of the coin; a downwards spiral of events that creates a negative environment in the stock market – prices of stocks fall, selling becomes contagious and pessimism grows.

For someone whose never saved or invested a penny in my life (I know, I know I need help of a financial consultant asap!) I’ve learned quite a lot from this game and hey, this is not the 1st time I end up learning something from a slot machine game (take that ASU Professors who told me gambling was wrong!)

The new Bulls & Bears slot game has many exciting features to win extra goodies like major and minor progressive random jackpots, you get the chance to win up to 15 free games and triple prizes and for every Bull or Bear symbol that appears during the feature, you get an extra free game, how about that! But don’t get all choked up yet. The topping on the icing is this: Bulls & Bears has a what we at Prism Casino like to call a ‘Feature Guarantee System’ and although it sounds like something complicated to win -or at least to remember- it really isn’t. The Feature Guarantee System insures that you’ll get your game feature triggered every 100 paid spins whether you stumbled upon it randomly or not and the Instant Trigger Chance is for those impatient ones who want their feature and want it now.

This is a 25 payline, 5 reel game. The average player, like myself, will love this new game and the many chances to win at slots that it provides, so I’d say go ahead and try it, let us know what you like and don’t like about this game and most importantly bring your friends over to try it. You never know, perhaps your next jackpot will be large enough that’ll get you started banking profits in a bull market.

So, stop reading about it and head over to the Bulls & Bears Slot Game page on Prism Casino. Download it and start playing now with a $30 FREE CHIP that we’re giving away right here.

Ever see the movie 21? You know the movie we’re talking about. A bunch of super-genius M.I.T. students figure out a way to win millions playing Blackjack pretty much every time they sit down to play. Needless to say, they don’t just hit Vegas. They repeatedly hit it. And essentially break it. Awesome movie.

The thing is, you don’t have to have an off the charts, Stephen Hawking-crushing IQ to win massive amounts of cash. Nor do you need to tag-team the casino with a bunch of math prodigies while wearing really lame disguises to rake in huge stacks of Benjamins.

All you really need to do is follow a tiny bit of strategy to start winning at the Blackjack tables.

The movie 21 does teach us one valuable lesson. Blackjack is a game of mathematics and a game of odds. Because it’s more about proven numbers than it is about luck, Blackjack is a game that can’t be played with bonus money at Prism. Unfortunately, because the game is so easy to beat, we need to reserve the bonus money for other games.

If you’ve never played Blackjack before, the rules are simple. You need to get as close to 21 without going over to beat the dealer. You’re dealt two cards face up and the dealer is also dealt two cards—one face up and the other face down. You need to make your hit me decision (another card please) or stay decision (no more cards please) while only knowing one of the dealer’s cards.

Blackjack goes far beyond being able to count to 21. Anyone over two years old can do that. The world’s most popular table game is about understanding how many possibilities exist for you to actually hit the card you’re looking for.

That’s why champion Blackjack players follow some key basic strategies that tell them when to hit and when to stay based on what they’re holding and what the dealer is showing.

It’s not card counting, but when you follow this basic strategy you’ll likely have a better chance of winning over the long haul.

The fact that half of the population of the Internet plays social games on Facebook and Google+ caught our attention. That’s the reason we’ve compiled some very insightful stats from great authorities on social media and online games and put everything together in a brand new infographic we present to you today titled: What Makes Social Games on Facebook and Google+ so Popular?

By the way, we don’t like #SOPA so feel free to share our infographic, like it, googleplusit, post it, email it, you name it: it’s yours.

The Prism blog staff and I, as game enthusiasts (fanatics, shall I say) and casino know-it -alls have a latent fascination for anything games related.

Personally, I must admit I would’ve never been able to predict the level of super stardom achieved by the social gaming industry back at the time, when the first of my coworkers came to tell me about his online farm and some virtual cows made of pixels,…blah, blah and all that multi-billion-dollar-generating nonsense.

If you haven’t quite grasped the concept of why in the world are people so addicted to Mafia Wars and keep requesting your help to load up on weapons and armour…let us show you why in our detailed infographic:

I want to thank all the great sources (above) where we got this information from and because we know you loved it so much you want even more, here are a few facts that didn’t make the graphic cut:

44% of social gamers use these games “as a form of communication”

57% of social gamers have sex once per week vs. 52% of non-gamers

Rarely will you find an online casino telling you to break the rules of craps whether you play at an online casino or live. But that’s exactly what we’re going to do today.

Don’t worry if you’ve always been told never to break the rules of craps. Ever. We’re not talking about breaking rules that will result in you having your legs broken. We’re talking about breaking the rules of craps that most craps players follow—but that you shouldn’t.

Ignore ‘expert’ craps players when they tell you your betting strategy is wrong

When it comes to the rules of craps, some people swear by craps betting strategies. Other players will swear at you if they see you using them at the craps tables. If you find a betting strategy that works for you, break from the rules of craps experts and use it.

Don’t think of craps as a team sport

Craps might seem like a communal game. After all, the rules of craps pretty much say that you should cheer together, scream at the dealer together, and high five each other—together. But at the end of the day, the lovely lady standing to your left couldn’t care less how well you’re rolling, whether your stacks are stacking higher and higher, and whether you’re up a grand because of a solid hardway bet. Remember the first rule of craps—it’s played individually. And the lovely lady to your left could potentially bet against you if you’re the shooter. She doesn’t care if you win or lose—unless you’re married to her (and even then, that’s debatable).

Don’t take another craps’ player’s word as gospel

Again, this goes back to therule of craps that says the game is not a team sport. Traditionally, craps players listen to other craps players. If someone who seems more experienced tells you to move your drink back from the table, don’t automatically assume that that’s the rule. Talk to the dealers first. They know the rules. You might not be breaking them. You might just be making a superstitious craps player uncomfortable. And that’s his problem, not yours.

Don’t bet with the dice shooter, just because she’s good looking

Way too many single guys follow one of the rules of craps that says you should bet with the dice shooter to make her feel good. We can’t stress this enough. It’s cool to bet against her. She might be insulted, but chances are you’ll never see her again.

Don’t just tip the dealer when you’re winning

It’s customary for gamblers to tip the dealer when they win a big hand or score big money. But what about players who are losing? What do the rules of craps say about tipping etiquette for non-winners? Should they hand the dealer a chip? Most don’t. But we think they should. Gambling is a form of entertainment. Just like going out to a restaurant, you should tip your craps dealer if they’re doing a good job. If you’d rather not tip, stay home and play online craps instead.

That’s it for our five rules of craps that are worth breaking. Got one more? Hit us up with a comment and share it.

You know those pictures of happy slot machine players who won at slot machines? We’re talking about the ones where they’re holding giant novelty checks made out in 5-figure and 6-figure amounts. The ones that adorn casino walls and are advertised on casino websites. Well, while the giant checks might not be cashable (there’s usually a smaller version that you can deposit into an ATM), the wins are very real.

If you love playing slot machines, you probably bolt directly toward the slot machine zone the second you enter a casino. Or, if you’re playing online, you probably bypass the tables and move your mouse directly to the online slot machines lounge.

But before you shove your quarters into the slot machines, virtual or otherwise, read on to learn the three unbelievable ways to win at slot machines online and off.

Play machines with smaller jackpots

Most people love hitting the slot machines where the payout runs anywhere from 10,000 coins all the way to millions of dollars. If you want to win at slots by hitting the jackpot, we recommend avoiding those. No, we’re not suggesting that you won’t win by matching symbols on the reels. But we are suggesting that the odds of hitting the jackpot where the jackpot is larger is lower than winning at slots when you play a lower jackpot game.

For example, the odds of hitting the Megabucks jackpot in Vegas, which ranges from $8 million to $33 million, are about 1 in nearly 50 million. On the other hand, the odds of hitting a Vegas slot machine jackpot where the payout is 5,000 coins usually range from 1 in 50,000 to 1 in 150,000 depending on the game.

Naturally, if you’re lucky enough to beat the odds on Megabucks and score a major win on slot machines, you’ll walk away with more money than you know what to do with. But you’re more likely to hit the smaller jackpots multiple times than hitting the Megabucks jackpot once, so play small, more often, if you want to win on slot machines.

Look for the slot machines that list the payback percentage

Some casinos in Vegas will actually list the payback percentage of a specific slot machine. To win on slot machines, look for a machine that’s labeled “98% Dollar Slots” or something similar. On the flipside of the coin, you’ll want to avoid machines with unspecific payout claims like “Loose slots” or “High payback” since those terms are meaningless if they’re not backed up by numbers.

Play with other people’s money

You can’t lose if you’re not playing with your own money, right? No, we’re not suggesting you borrow a friend’s credit card or swipe $20 from his wallet when he’s not looking. What we are suggesting is taking the casino’s money before you even attempt to win playing slot machines. How do you do that? It’s easy, especially if you play online slot machines. While most land-based casinos don’t offer free money unless you’re a high roller, a lot of online casinos will boost your bankroll by a certain percentage the second you make a deposit. So the $100 you deposit could be worth $200 or even as much as $500. And if you lose the casino’s money, who cares?

We’ve handed out a lot of cash to slot machine players. If you’re one of the winners who has discovered a foolproof way to win on slot machines, we’d love to hear your secret. Drop us a line and share it with our online slot machine player community.

This 25 line, 5 reel slot machine game lets you win 8 free games in which you can double your prizes, randomly, regardless of the amount you’re playing.

The substitute symbol can be no other than the Loch Ness Monster himself, affectionately named “Lochie” for this game. After all, this is his game isn’t it? If Lochie shows up while you’re playing the free games, he will expand and cover the reels. This feature can be retriggered multiple times so there’s plenty of fun surprises bundled in this game.

Another great feature we’ve seen by Real Time Gaming, incorporated into most recent slot machine games like The Three Stooges II and others is their new Win-Win feature. This has truly been a hit amongst slot machine fans, and as such this casino games developer company keeps giving it to players. This Win-Win feature is a guarantee that any win during the games special features (free games, etc) will be multiplied so that you end up winning a much larger prize. This is like saying, no matter how much you win, we’ll turn it into more money automatically and of course, I like the sound of that.

The game features a minor and major progressive jackpot triggered at random, just like the Loch Ness monster ‘cameos’on film -you just never know when they’re going to occur. The game can be played through the Casino Download Suite and we think it’s time to stop raving and ranting about this new game and let you try it for yourself. Oh and don’t worry, Lochie doesn’t bite (as far as we know, that is). Enjoy and make sure to share with us your impressions on the comments section: what did you like best -or didn’t like- about the game, what would you have added or removed and what are your thoughts in general. We’re excited to know what you think of our little ‘creature’!

Hardcore Blackjack players are ridiculously serious about the game. For some, playing by the rules and losing a hand is better than breaking the rules and winning. That’s because Blackjack is all about odds, and by breaking the hit or stand rules, you could seriously disrupt the balance of the Blackjack table.

The goal of Blackjack

Before understanding when to hit or stand in Blackjack, you need to understand the game. The goal of Blackjack is simple—beat the dealer’s hand without going over 21. Both you and the dealer are dealt two cards each. However, while yours are face-up, only one of the dealer’s cards is visible. The dealer has to hit on 16 or less, and stand on 17 (standing on a soft-17 varies from casino to casino).

When to hit in Blackjack

If your two cards are valued at anything less than 8, you should definitely hit. It doesn’t matter what the dealer is showing because it’s impossible for you to bust. If you’re holding between 12 and 17, things get a little trickier. If you’re new to the game, we recommend following one simple rule to know when to hit or stand in Blackjack. If the dealer is showing a 7, 8, 9, or 10, and your two cards are less than 16, you should hit at the Blackjack tables.

When to stand at the Blackjack tables

When you choose to stand, you’re choosing to not take any cards. The best way to understand when to stand in Blackjack is to imagine that the dealer has worse cards than you, even though you can only see one of them. For example, if you’re showing a 13, and the dealer is showing anywhere from 2 through 6, just imagine that there’s a 10 under there. That means the dealer likely has 12 through 16. If that’s the case, the dealer needs to hit at the Blackjack tables. If he does, he risks hitting a high card that’ll take him over 21. If the dealer is showing a 7 or anything better, you probably don’t want to stand in Blackjack, unless you’re holding 17 or anything better. In a nutshell, if the dealer is showing a low card, you should stand, regardless of what you have. Unless you’ve got a 12 and the dealer is showing a 2 or a 3. Hitting or standing in Blackjack against a 2 or 3 is up for debate, so go with your gut.

Split

Playing Blackjack is about more than knowing when to hit or stand. Sometimes, you have the option to split. That means you can turn your pair into two separate hands. As a general rule, always split Aces and eights. For other pairs, go with your gut, or ask someone at the table what they would do.

Double Down

If you’ve got a 10 or 11, it’s no longer about hitting or standing. It’s all about the double down (and we’re not talking about KFC’s monster sandwich). That means you get to double your bet, but you only get one card.

Expert hitting or standing in Blackjack

The Blackjack hit or stand strategy guide we just provided is great for beginners and high rollers. But if you’re looking to take your Blackjack hit or stand rules to the next level, consider coupling them with a card counting strategy. We’ve covered a few of them in our blog, so check ‘em out.

Ever wonder why the lady who bet on 26 is way more excited than the guy who bet on ‘even’ when the roulette wheel ball lands on 26? Both are winners (for those who failed 2nd grade math, 26 is an even number). And both are paid out for betting wisely. So what’s the deal?

Well, remember, in roulette it’s not whether you win or lose, it’s how you play the game. And by “how you play the game” we mean “where you place your chips” on the felt while the roulette wheel spins.

Today, we’re going to cover some basic roulette wheel odds strategy to show you how betting can make all the difference when it comes to payouts.

Bet on any number = 35:1. That means for every $1 you drop onto the table, you’ll win $35. So if you bet $100 that the ball lands on 17 on the roulette wheel, and 17 hits, you’ll win $3,500.

Bet on two numbers = 17:1. Can’t decide between 22 and 23? Drop your chips on the line between them to signal to the dealer that you’re betting on two numbers. If either number hits on the roulette wheel, you’ll win 17 times whatever you dropped on the table.

Bet on a line of three = 11:1. To bet on three roulette wheel numbers, you’ll need to drop your chips on the left line of the first number in the row you’re betting on.

Bet on four numbers = 8:11. See a pattern here? The more numbers you bet on at once, the lower the potential roulette wheel payout is. But don’t worry. Eight to one odds are anything worth crying over. To bet on a series of four roulette wheel numbers, stack your chips in the center of the line that connects all four numbers.

Bet on the first five numbers = 6:1. We’re not talking about one through five here. We’re talking about single zero through three, with a double zero thrown into the mix. Remember, roulette wheels in most North American casinos, not to mention those online, have a single zero and a double zero.

Bet on a line of six numbers = 5:1. Find a horizontal line that crosses through six numbers on the roulette board (three on top, three on the bottom) and put your chip on the edge of the line to bet on the group of 6.

Bet on a column = 2:1,To bet on a single column of 12 roulette wheel numbers, you’ll want to place your chip at the bottom of the column where you’ll find a box that says 2:1. If any number in that column hits, you’ll double your money.

Bet on a group of 12 numbers = 2:1. Betting on 12 numbers on a roulette wheel isn’t restricted to just columns. You can also bet on the first 12, second 12, or third 12 numbers. You’ll find the boxes for those bets above the even/odds and black/red bets. Hitting 12 numbers pays out 2:1.

Bet the outside = 1:1. You can also choose to bet on black or red, even or odd, and the first 18 numbers or second 18 numbers. Just note that hitting any of these pays out 1:1. That means if you bet $100, you’ll win $100.

When you’re at the roulette wheel, you might hear players and dealersuse terminology like, “bet on the basket” or “street bet” when talking about where to place their chips. In an upcoming post, we’ll cover what they all mean. Until then, use our roulette wheel strategy guide to bet like a pro.

Chris Boyd — What would you do if you spent three years saving every penny you owned to amass a $220,000 fortune? Buy a house? Quit your job? Chris Boyd chose to bet it all on red. Of course, most major casinos cap their bets at a few thousand dollars, even for high rollers, so it took a bit of time to find a Las Vegas casino that would accept the 6-figure bet. Once he did, it paid off. One spin. One bet. $220,000 richer.

Ashley Revelle — Looks like there’s something about the color red when it comes to roulette winning. Ashley Revelle, a 32-year-old London man, sold everything he owned to test his luck at winning roulette in Vegas. Everything. His car. His house. Everything but the clothes on his back. And it paid off. One winning roulette spin netted him $135k.

Joseph Jagger — In 1873, the British engineer hired six guys to record every single winning roulette wheel spin outcome at the Beaux-Arts Casino in Monte Carlo, Monaco. After studying the data he collected, Jagger determined that one of the wheels was a clear favorite. The winning roulette wheel landed on 7, 8, 9, 17, 18, 19, 22, 28, and 29 more frequently than the other roulette wheels. Over four days, Jagger won over £60,000. That’s about £3,000,000 in today’s money.

Charles Wells — You’ve heard of Wall Street defrauding investors of millions and using the money to live in the lap of luxury. Well, in 1891, Wells defrauded European investors of £4,000 for his fake musical jump rope invention. But instead of living the high life, he put a really tall stack of chips on the roulette table. He ended up going on several lucky winning streaks by using the Martingale winning roulette system, but he died poor after losing everything to the house.

You — So, maybe you haven’t yet hit it big playing online roulette, winning hundreds of thousands of dollars. But it definitely happens more often than you’d think. Check out the latest online casino forums and you’ll read stories from real casino gamblers like you who have claimed obscene amounts of money by winning roulette. And then test the waters at an online casino using a casino bonus to see what kind of winning roulette story you can write for yourself.

Everyone dreams of breaking Vegas by using a smart roulette strategy. To win more often, Blackjack players have card counting. To take more pots, poker players have bluffing. Roulette players have…well, not a whole lot.

At least that’s what most online roulette players think. But the truth is there’s actually a simple roulette strategy that roulette players use to win every time. No, you won’t win on every bet. But if you’re after a strategy that will put more money in your pocket over the long haul, this is the one.

For today’s simple roulette strategy to win online and off, we’re going to go over betting on a grouping of numbers.

On a roulette board, you don’t just have to bet on evens or odds, black or red, or specific numbers. You can actually bet on the first dozen numbers (1 through 12), the second dozen numbers (13 through 24) and the third dozen numbers (25 through 36).

In this roulette strategy, rather than picking a group of numbers out of thin air, you’ll want to employ a special strategy to choose which group of numbers you’ll consistently throw your bet on.

For the purpose of this strategy, the first 12 numbers will be categorized as A. The second 12—B. The third 12—C. A zero or a double zero will be categorized as 0.

Start spinning the roulette wheel. If you’re playing online, you can do this at a free online roulette table so that you don’t blow your bankroll while preparing for this winning roulette strategy.

As the ball lands, record the category. So if the ball lands on a number in the second 12 numbers, right down B. In the third, write down C.

Keep spinning and recording until you see a series of five categories where one specific category is missing.

So if you record C, B, B, C, B for your five spins, you can stop because A didn’t come up.

So what’s so magical about A? Well, in this example, that’s what you’ll be betting on at the real money roulette wheel. While you will alter your bet, you won’t actually alter what you’re betting on.That’s right. You’ll never, EVER, change the group that you’re putting your money on.

How you bet depends on what kind of bankroll you’re bringing to the table. If you’re bringing a bankroll of $500 or more, you can employ the double-your-bet strategy, where you double your bet every time you lose. If you’ve got a smaller bankroll to play with, consider increasing your bet by one unit when you lose, and decreasing it by one unit when you win.

There are tons of roulette strategies out there, and some sites will try to sell you a simple roulette strategy to win. Avoid those. You shouldn’t have to shell out cash to learn how to win. Save your money for the online casino and use it to build a bigger bankroll, not to make a roulette strategy salesman rich.

We get it. You want to learn the best way to play craps. After all, casinos are buzzing with energy, and walking through one without absorbing some of that energy is next to impossible. If you’re like us, you can’t help but feel yourself being pulled, almost if by magnet, toward the direction of all that screaming, cheering, and clapping.

As you let your ears lead the way, chances are you’ll end up at a craps table where you’ll find people hugging, stacks of chips being pushed towards craps players, and everyone talking about how hot that run was.

And just as soon as you’re about to join them, you realize you have absolutely no clue how to play craps. So let us enlighten you.

The first thing to note when you’re first learning how to play craps at the casino is that while craps looks incredibly complicated, it actually has just two stages to worry about.

First Stage: Come-out Roll

First, you have the come-out roll. That’s the very first roll of the dice that determines whether the game comes to a sudden end, or whether the game continues. If the result of the rolled dice is a 2, 3, 7, 11, or 12, it’s game over. That doesn’t mean everyone loses. It means that winning bets are paid out to winning craps players, and losing bets are taken by the house. A new come-out roll takes place with a new shooter.

If the roll of the dice is a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10, the game continues. Whatever was rolled becomes the shooter’s point for the next stage of the game.

Second Stage: The Series

The shooter continues rolling the dice until they either hit their point from stage 1 again or they roll a 7. In either case, bets are paid out or collected, and a new shooter takes the dice and enters Stage 1.

Now that you know how to play craps at a casino, you’re almost ready to put your money down and start winning. But before you do, you’ll need to know exactly what you’re betting on.

The craps table can look pretty complex, mostly because there are so many different bets you can place. In this post, we’ll cover the most basic craps bets you should know if you want to learn how to play craps in Vegas.

Pass Line Bet – If you think the shooter will roll either a 7 or an 11 on the come-out roll, put your chips on the Pass Line Bet.

Field Bet – When you play the field in craps, you’re betting that a 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, or 12 will be rolled.

Other Bets – Of course, these are just the most basic craps bets you could make. There are hardways bets, one roll bets, place bets, don’t come bets, and so much more. Learning the types of craps bets is a lot like cramming for an 11th grade chemistry test and trying to remember the periodic table of elements. Except with craps, you can actually win money.

Anyway, we’ll save the craps table lesson for another day. In the mean time, use our quick guide on how to play craps at the casino and see how much fun playing craps really can be.

Talk to three different people about casino payouts and there’s a really good chance they’ll actually be talking about three different things. The term “casino payouts” can be as confusing as they’re/their/there (especially if you’ve never paid attention to grammar). But if you understand the context of the casino payout discussion you’re eavesdropping on, it’s a no brainer. Today, we’ll explore casino payout percentages, table ratios, and withdrawals to help you understand the complex world of casino payouts.

Casino payout percentages

As you hunt for an online casino to park your chips at, you’ll see different sites boasting different payout percentages. Usually, online casino payout percentages hover between 95% and 98%. If an online casino has a payout rate of 97%, it doesn’t mean that you’ll win 97% of the time. Instead it means that, overall, the casino gives 97% of all combined bets back to players. So if an online casino takes in $150,000 a day in bets, $145,500 is given back to online casino players.

Casino payout ratios at the tables

If you hear players talking about good and bad casino payout ratios at the tables, chances are they’re talking about individual hands and whether the payout ratio is worth it.

In Blackjack, for example, you’ll find different casino payouts based on what hand you beat the dealer with. If your hand beats the dealer’s and neither of you hit Blackjack, you’ll get paid out 1:1. That means for every $1 in chip you bet, you’ll win $1. Unless you’re playing $1 tables at O’Shea’s in Vegas, you’re probably betting more than just $1. So, let’s say you bet $100 on a hand of Blackjack, you’d win $100 if your hand beats the dealer. If the dealer busts and you stay alive, the same 1:1 casino payout ratio applies. And if you hit a Blackjack—and the dealer doesn’t—you’d earn a casino payout ratio of 3:2. That means for every $2 you put down, the dealer ships $3 your way. So, if you bet $100, you’ll win $150.

Payouts and withdrawals

Hop on any online casino or online poker forum and you’d likely find people associating bank wires and checks with casino payouts. In those threads, they’re probably talking about casino payouts as they related to withdrawals. You might hear things like, “They have the fastest casino payouts I’ve ever experience,” or “That poker site has the slowest casino payout department.”

The bottom line on casino payouts

No matter how you look at it, casino payouts are all about getting paid. But you can’t experience a casino payout if you don’t make a deposit. So look for a deposit bonus and pump up your winnings before you hit the online casino tables or slots.

There are casino players. And there are smart casino players. Casino players win some and lose some. Smart casino players? They always feel like winners. That’s because they know how to take advantage of free bankroll opportunities, and they know how to maximize every cent in their casino bankroll to last all month, even when lady luck isn’t smiling. To help you become a smart casino player, we’ve put together five free bankroll tips that will make your online casino life easier and more fun.

Set a monthly budget and stick to it

Before you sit down to play slots or table games at an online casino, it’s important to establish your budget. For our #1 free bankroll tip, we recommend setting a monthly budget. It doesn’t matter if your casino bankroll budget is $50 or $5,000. What matters is setting it and sticking to it. Remember, not every Blackjack hand is a monster hand. And not every online slots spin nets you a jackpot. But if you promise yourself never to exceed your monthly budget, you’ll feel like a winner every month.

Keep your winnings separate from your monthly budget

Let’s say your monthly budget is $100. And let’s say, by the 4th day of the month, you’re up $400. We recommend setting that $400 aside and continuing to play exclusively with your profits. Why? Because you’ve committed the original $100 as your casino entertainment budget, so losing it won’t be such a big deal. But losing your profits can put a damper on your day. Or month.

Never bring more than half of your bankroll to the tables or slots

Need to make that casino bankroll last all month? Then never bring more than half of what you have to the tables or online slots. For example, if you log in to your online casino account and you’ve got $400 of budgeted bankroll to play with, and you want to hit the slots, bring no more than $200 to the slots. By bringing no more than half your bankroll to your casino game of choice, you’ll always have something to play with the next time you decide to play.

Take advantage of bonuses for the ultimate free bankroll

Most online casinos—at least the reputable ones—will offer you free cash to play. Why? Because they can afford to, and because they want you to experience why their software and casino offering is the best. So before you make a deposit, look for a first time deposit bonus. You can essentially score a bigger bankroll for free and play on someone else’s dime.

Participate in Facebook contests

Don’t be afraid to like your favorite online casino on Facebook. Once again, the big online casinos show their appreciation to their Facebook fans by giving away free chips, free bonuses, and more. It’s not unusual for an online casino to hold two or three free bankroll contests per week, so don’t miss out.

And yes, Prism Casino is on Facebook, too. And we’ve got all kinds of contests running. Interested? Like us and we’ll hook you up.
