Don’t think of craps as a team sport

Craps might seem like a communal game. After all, the rules of craps pretty much say that you should cheer together, scream at the dealer together, and high five each other—together. But at the end of the day, the lovely lady standing to your left couldn’t care less how well you’re rolling, whether your stacks are stacking higher and higher, and whether you’re up a grand because of a solid hardway bet. Remember the first rule of craps—it’s played individually. And the lovely lady to your left could potentially bet against you if you’re the shooter. She doesn’t care if you win or lose—unless you’re married to her (and even then, that’s debatable).

Don’t take another craps’ player’s word as gospel

Again, this goes back to therule of craps that says the game is not a team sport. Traditionally, craps players listen to other craps players. If someone who seems more experienced tells you to move your drink back from the table, don’t automatically assume that that’s the rule. Talk to the dealers first. They know the rules. You might not be breaking them. You might just be making a superstitious craps player uncomfortable. And that’s his problem, not yours.

Don’t bet with the dice shooter, just because she’s good looking

Way too many single guys follow one of the rules of craps that says you should bet with the dice shooter to make her feel good. We can’t stress this enough. It’s cool to bet against her. She might be insulted, but chances are you’ll never see her again.

The goal of Blackjack

Before understanding when to hit or stand in Blackjack, you need to understand the game. The goal of Blackjack is simple—beat the dealer’s hand without going over 21. Both you and the dealer are dealt two cards each. However, while yours are face-up, only one of the dealer’s cards is visible. The dealer has to hit on 16 or less, and stand on 17 (standing on a soft-17 varies from casino to casino).

When to hit in Blackjack

If your two cards are valued at anything less than 8, you should definitely hit. It doesn’t matter what the dealer is showing because it’s impossible for you to bust. If you’re holding between 12 and 17, things get a little trickier. If you’re new to the game, we recommend following one simple rule to know when to hit or stand in Blackjack. If the dealer is showing a 7, 8, 9, or 10, and your two cards are less than 16, you should hit at the Blackjack tables.

When to stand at the Blackjack tables

When you choose to stand, you’re choosing to not take any cards. The best way to understand when to stand in Blackjack is to imagine that the dealer has worse cards than you, even though you can only see one of them. For example, if you’re showing a 13, and the dealer is showing anywhere from 2 through 6, just imagine that there’s a 10 under there. That means the dealer likely has 12 through 16. If that’s the case, the dealer needs to hit at the Blackjack tables. If he does, he risks hitting a high card that’ll take him over 21. If the dealer is showing a 7 or anything better, you probably don’t want to stand in Blackjack, unless you’re holding 17 or anything better. In a nutshell, if the dealer is showing a low card, you should stand, regardless of what you have. Unless you’ve got a 12 and the dealer is showing a 2 or a 3. Hitting or standing in Blackjack against a 2 or 3 is up for debate, so go with your gut.

Split

Playing Blackjack is about more than knowing when to hit or stand. Sometimes, you have the option to split. That means you can turn your pair into two separate hands. As a general rule, always split Aces and eights. For other pairs, go with your gut, or ask someone at the table what they would do.

Double Down

If you’ve got a 10 or 11, it’s no longer about hitting or standing. It’s all about the double down (and we’re not talking about KFC’s monster sandwich). That means you get to double your bet, but you only get one card.

Expert hitting or standing in Blackjack

Well, remember, in roulette it’s not whether you win or lose, it’s how you play the game. And by “how you play the game” we mean “where you place your chips” on the felt while the roulette wheel spins.

Today, we’re going to cover some basic roulette wheel odds strategy to show you how betting can make all the difference when it comes to payouts.

Bet on any number = 35:1. That means for every $1 you drop onto the table, you’ll win $35. So if you bet $100 that the ball lands on 17 on the roulette wheel, and 17 hits, you’ll win $3,500.

Bet on two numbers = 17:1. Can’t decide between 22 and 23? Drop your chips on the line between them to signal to the dealer that you’re betting on two numbers. If either number hits on the roulette wheel, you’ll win 17 times whatever you dropped on the table.

Bet on a line of three = 11:1. To bet on three roulette wheel numbers, you’ll need to drop your chips on the left line of the first number in the row you’re betting on.

Bet on four numbers = 8:11. See a pattern here? The more numbers you bet on at once, the lower the potential roulette wheel payout is. But don’t worry. Eight to one odds are anything worth crying over. To bet on a series of four roulette wheel numbers, stack your chips in the center of the line that connects all four numbers.

Bet on the first five numbers = 6:1. We’re not talking about one through five here. We’re talking about single zero through three, with a double zero thrown into the mix. Remember, roulette wheels in most North American casinos, not to mention those online, have a single zero and a double zero.

Bet on a line of six numbers = 5:1. Find a horizontal line that crosses through six numbers on the roulette board (three on top, three on the bottom) and put your chip on the edge of the line to bet on the group of 6.

Bet on a column = 2:1,To bet on a single column of 12 roulette wheel numbers, you’ll want to place your chip at the bottom of the column where you’ll find a box that says 2:1. If any number in that column hits, you’ll double your money.

Bet on a group of 12 numbers = 2:1. Betting on 12 numbers on a roulette wheel isn’t restricted to just columns. You can also bet on the first 12, second 12, or third 12 numbers. You’ll find the boxes for those bets above the even/odds and black/red bets. Hitting 12 numbers pays out 2:1.

Bet the outside = 1:1. You can also choose to bet on black or red, even or odd, and the first 18 numbers or second 18 numbers. Just note that hitting any of these pays out 1:1. That means if you bet $100, you’ll win $100.

On a roulette board, you don’t just have to bet on evens or odds, black or red, or specific numbers. You can actually bet on the first dozen numbers (1 through 12), the second dozen numbers (13 through 24) and the third dozen numbers (25 through 36).

In this roulette strategy, rather than picking a group of numbers out of thin air, you’ll want to employ a special strategy to choose which group of numbers you’ll consistently throw your bet on.

For the purpose of this strategy, the first 12 numbers will be categorized as A. The second 12—B. The third 12—C. A zero or a double zero will be categorized as 0.

Start spinning the roulette wheel. If you’re playing online, you can do this at a free online roulette table so that you don’t blow your bankroll while preparing for this winning roulette strategy.

As the ball lands, record the category. So if the ball lands on a number in the second 12 numbers, right down B. In the third, write down C.

Keep spinning and recording until you see a series of five categories where one specific category is missing.

So if you record C, B, B, C, B for your five spins, you can stop because A didn’t come up.

So what’s so magical about A? Well, in this example, that’s what you’ll be betting on at the real money roulette wheel. While you will alter your bet, you won’t actually alter what you’re betting on.That’s right. You’ll never, EVER, change the group that you’re putting your money on.

The first thing to note when you’re first learning how to play craps at the casino is that while craps looks incredibly complicated, it actually has just two stages to worry about.

First Stage: Come-out Roll

First, you have the come-out roll. That’s the very first roll of the dice that determines whether the game comes to a sudden end, or whether the game continues. If the result of the rolled dice is a 2, 3, 7, 11, or 12, it’s game over. That doesn’t mean everyone loses. It means that winning bets are paid out to winning craps players, and losing bets are taken by the house. A new come-out roll takes place with a new shooter.

If the roll of the dice is a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10, the game continues. Whatever was rolled becomes the shooter’s point for the next stage of the game.

Second Stage: The Series

The shooter continues rolling the dice until they either hit their point from stage 1 again or they roll a 7. In either case, bets are paid out or collected, and a new shooter takes the dice and enters Stage 1.

Now that you know how to play craps at a casino, you’re almost ready to put your money down and start winning. But before you do, you’ll need to know exactly what you’re betting on.

The craps table can look pretty complex, mostly because there are so many different bets you can place. In this post, we’ll cover the most basic craps bets you should know if you want to learn how to play craps in Vegas.

Pass Line Bet – If you think the shooter will roll either a 7 or an 11 on the come-out roll, put your chips on the Pass Line Bet.

Field Bet – When you play the field in craps, you’re betting that a 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, or 12 will be rolled.

Other Bets – Of course, these are just the most basic craps bets you could make. There are hardways bets, one roll bets, place bets, don’t come bets, and so much more. Talk to three different people about casino payouts and there’s a really good chance they’ll actually be talking about three different things. The term “casino payouts” can be as confusing as they’re/their/there (especially if you’ve never paid attention to grammar). Casino payout percentages

So, let’s say you bet $100 on a hand of Blackjack, you’d win $100 if your hand beats the dealer. If the dealer busts and you stay alive, the same 1:1 casino payout ratio applies. And if you hit a Blackjack—and the dealer doesn’t—you’d earn a casino payout ratio of 3:2. That means for every $2 you put down, the dealer ships $3 your way. So, if you bet $100, you’ll win $150.

Payouts and withdrawals

Hop on any online casino or online poker forum and you’d likely find people associating bank wires and checks with casino payouts. In those threads, they’re probably talking about casino payouts as they related to withdrawals. You might hear things like, “They have the fastest casino payouts I’ve ever experience,” or “That poker site has the slowest casino payout department.”

The bottom line on casino payouts
