Here are a few pieces from a package of springtime goodies that went out to Velita this week.

A nice spot near my new home. It’s high up enough, do you see a bridge? So pretty. But I forgot to wear proper shoes. C’est is me!

There is a special quality to glass pearls. Sometimes I favor them to real pearls. Despite being man-made, these puddled baroque pearls are no less creamy, no less imperfect than real ones. And when strung on bits of chain and suspended like a chandelier, they call to your fingers to come and play.

And what can I say about these beautiful aqua vintage beads? They have simple facets with distressed edges. As though dug out of a treasure chest a gazillion miles under the sea. Paired with copper chains because, well, it seemed to be the right thing to do.

A few slices of toasted bread, a pat of butter, thinly sliced radishes. Sprinkle salt and pepper and it’s a pretty good snack.

I chose that shade of blue for the tabletop because I knew I could never tire of such a vibrant color. I want it in a handbag, on a shirt, what about shoes? Yes.

I loved doing bridal work.. there are plans for a bridal collection, really just because it’s so much fun.

P.S. Life is beautiful on the left coast- it is lush and there is ample vegetation to be inspired by!

I know what you must be thinking. “Is that.. a mattress? Has she run out of surfaces to photograph on??!” Well. The answer is YES. Oy vey.

So this post is a double announcement. One happy one is that tiny floral pieces like this motif (my favorite part is that they have the tiniest stamen) are now available at Cassidy Jewelry, located in Portland, Oregon. I am super excited about this, because it is my very first retailer in Oregon!

The second announcement is that we (by we, I mean me really, because all my nice contractors/manufacturers that do some of the crafting for me are still happily open and in business and I am the one putting my life in boxes and moving to California) will be CLOSED for about a month or two.

This has been the year of major transition for me and I thank you all who are sticking through it while I settle into my newly married life in the San Francisco Bay area. When I finally reopen, I promise to throw a big online party, spruce up this site a bit, offer fun new things. I have so many plans- I want to get an engraving machine and offer engravings on pretty little pendants, I want to show you my huge GARDEN ROSE design because who doesn’t love a big ruffly garden rose??? And more more more.

Realizing my love for grey in this piece.. it’s 95% ready and once it’s shipped off, I’ll post the finish.

This crystal leaf is coming along relatively quickly considering the fact that I am handsewing each little thing but I snapped a quick shot of the progress early on. She wanted a statement piece and the different shapes and sizes of crystals make a more organic looking end result.

Things are a little crazy around these parts- have I mentioned that I am moving to California soon? I managed to get these lovelies out the door yesterday, here’s hoping they’re making it to Velita’s FNO event!

I am head over heels for the tiny aqua one. That color! That sparkle! You’ve gotta see in real life.
