Get it? Hahaha…yeah, it’s not really that funny. Anyway, I opened up Sculptris the other day because I saw that Paolo Rivera has been using it to make maquettes for characters. I had spent probably two to three hours with it before and while at first showing a high level of awesomeness I quickly lost interest in it because I wasn’t making usable stuff quick enough. Somehow I guess I expected to magically know the subtle tricks of the program right off the bat. Well, I turned to the magic of the internet and video tutorials to get a basic understanding of the different tools in Sculptris and in the course of maybe 3-4 hours came up with these to bald heads. Well, they’re earless as well, but whatever. I’ll probably continue to use Sculptris to iron out some of the main characters in my current project. I’m not sure how detailed I’ll get with them as I just need basic proportional guidelines, but it’s been fun to get back into 3D.

My freelance plate is now empty again and I’m about to jump back into my comic book. Still not sure what direction I’ll go stylistically but I’ve decided it’s best to just jump in and have fun. We’ll see where that takes me.

I’m on the last disc of the Robotech series. Taking it pretty slow, and I’m almost sad to get to the end of it. I think I’ll re-watch the Cowboy Beebop series when I’m done.
