We all know Priyanka Chopra was recently admitted in a hospital for her tummy infection. But not many are aware that the she has been put off from alcohol following her discharge.

Sources claim, it is not just the doctors but her boy friend Shahid Kapoor who seems to have imposed a NO DRINKS rule on her.

Sources add, "Though Priyanka cannot be called an alcoholic, she does enjoy a glass of wine or champagne occasionally that too only when she is with her closest friends.

Shahid is a strict vegetarian and also a teetotaler and it is but natural that he expects his new girl friend to be the same. It is a known fact that Shahid had turned his ex girlfriend Kareena Kapoor vegetarian and a teetotaler like him too.

This step with Priyanka has been taken by him because he was extremely worried when she got stomach infection as there was fear of it aggravating by having alcohol."

The source further adds, "It is not just alcohol, Shahid is also wanting Priyanka to go slow on work and take enough rest."

Priyanka Chopra has many reasons to smile – her movies’ve been doing well, and she’s been winning awards for her work too. She’s also been declared the number one actress in Bollywood, but this damsel would rather concentrate on her work than count numbers.

“With every hit film, you become a number one or a number two, and with each flop film, you become a number six or number seven. And hits and flops come and go like nobody’s business in this fraternity. If you start keeping track of the number and the position, you’ll really lose your mind. Nothing succeeds like success, and that’s why I pay no attention to this whole number game. We’re all striving to be successful, but the measure of success does not come from being called number one for three months and then being forgotten about,” she explains.

Next year, it’ll be 10 years since Priyanka won her Miss India and Miss World crowd. “Oh yes, that’s right! It will be about 10 years next year. It makes me feel so old! Wow, now it’s scary – I feel like I was standing on that stage like a lost little girl. And where did the time go? My God, I haven’t had time to think about that,” she says.
Priyanka maintains that she is the same simple girl that she was when she entered the industry.

“I’m not very shrewd. If I look back at my life, it makes me feel that I’ve stayed away from the conventional stuff, deliberately. For instance, the films I do, the way I lead my life – I’m a lot more private. I don’t like focussing only and only on film, I pick different things to do. I’m writing now. I like getting involved in a lot of public forums, and because of all this, I feel is unconventional,” she says, adding, “And the unconventionality continues in my movies. I like to take up all kind of genres to test myself as an actor. Even a commercial film like Dostana was unconventional. I like to take up movies that I know I’d like to watch as a member of the audience. I’m an entertainer, but I’m also the audience. And I do go to movie halls, buy my own ticket and watch a lot of movies.”

Talking about movies, Priyanka will be seen in two this year – Kaminey and What’s Your Rashee? “I had to study Marathi for my role in Kaminey, it was like I was giving my exams. I had a tutor with me all the time and a dialect coach on the sets. But it was exciting. I’m a sucker for knowledge. And I learnt the language in a month and a half!”

Talking about Kaminey, Priyanka was recently linked with none her co-star in the movie, Shahid Kapur. However, she was also recently linked with the Hollywood actor Gerard Butler. So is either of them a ‘close friend’? “I’ve always been very private about my personal life. I don’t like giving importance to non-issues.” And what about Gerard Butler, ain’t she friends with him? “I don’t know if I want to talk about that,” she demurs.

Priyanka says she loves being the centre of the male gaze.

“I love the attention I get. Which girl doesn’t? To be considered hot is …cool! To be called the sexiest, the most desirable, etc in magazine and website polls is very flattering. I take it in my stride.

Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder and I’m glad a lot of men behold me. There’s no special man to make me feel special. Between my family and career there’s no room for for anyone else.”

Priyanka Chopra is busy playing a dozen desirable divas in the same frame. She has 12 roles to play Ashutosh Gowariker’s What’s Your Raashee.

But it was Hurman Baweja who slogged his butt off in the 3-day schedule of the film in Chicago.

Priyanka spent her time with her cousins in Chicago.

Sighs Priyanka, “It was more masti than work. We chose this time to shoot in Chicago because the script needed snow. And we got it in plenty.

I loooooove the snow. And since I’ve a lot of in family in America I called them over to Chicago. It was more fun than work really.”

Priyanka loves shooting in the US. “I love going to America. I’ve so much family there. Earlier during Dostana in Philadelphia I had a ball.

Now in Chicago 1-15 people including my Naani, my aunts and my cousins would be on the sets to visit me. And luckily there was very little work for me. It was Hurman’s character which is from Chicago.”

Priyanka was glad to have this chance to unwind. “I let Hurman do all the slogging. Raashee is a very taxing film for me.

This kind of role has never been done. For the first time in my career I plan to take a two-week holiday after Raashee.”

When Kangna Ranaut heard Priyanka would also be dancing at the Femina Miss India show, she asked the actress what her songs would be. When Priyanka said she would be dancing to Fashion’s numbers, Kangna decided to pay a tribute to Aishwarya and Madhuri Dixit.

"When I got to know that Priyanka is performing I asked her about her songs. When she said she was doing the Fashion songs, I happily decided to do the tribute to Aishwarya and Madhuri," Kangna told IANS.

"I think girl bonding is very cool. I can't say Priyanka and I are best friends. But I think two actresses fighting is very unfashionable. After Fashion there's a comfort level. And if we can share a platform without getting in one another's way then isn't that just great," Kangna said.

But did Kangs even realise how difficult a tribute to Ash and Mads could be? Unfortunately, her performance was totally washed out!

With 7 awards, it's been fantastic year: Priyanka

It's not even halfway down the year, but Priyanka Chopra already has reasons enough to say 2009 has been "fantastic" for her. The star has already walked away with seven awards including an international honour.

"It's been a fantastic start to 2009. Awards mean a lot to me. After you work so hard, the award validates your work. So every award has a very special place in my heart and gives me a huge sense of achievement and encouragement, " Priyanka told over e-mail.

Priyanka, who scorched the screen with distinct roles in films like "Fashion" and "Dostana", was bestowed the Nielsen Box Office Award for outstanding contribution to Asian cinema at the Third Annual Asian Film Awards held in Hong Kong last month.

She says the award is an encouragement for her to perform better.

"I have only been in the Indian film industry for about five years now and so it was a huge surprise and an honour to have been conferred the award.

This is my first international award and is definitely an encouragement for me as an actor to perform better. It was a proud moment for me to represent India at the Asian Film Awards, " she said.

The 26-year-old actress, who won the Miss World title in 2000, also walked away with the Filmfare best actress award for her performance as a supermodel in Madhur Bhandarkar's "Fashion".

For the same film, Priyanka also bagged the best actress award at the STAR Screen Awards, Lions Club Gold Awards as well as the Stardust Awards.

"I feel privileged to have been given the chance to essay a complex character like Meghna Mathur in 'Fashion' and I'm truly overwhelmed by the appreciation I have received, " she said.

"I am very grateful for the support I have received, be it from my directors and co-stars to the technicians on each film. Without them, it would not have been possible, " Priyanka added.

These apart, the now three-time Filmfare award winner also received an honour at the 10th FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry) Frames this year for her contribution to entertainment and was also given a best brand ambassador award at the NDTV Profit Car and Bike Awards.

And Priyanka can expect some more prizes with the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards approaching soon.

Till then, she is busy working hard for her forthcoming films - Ashutosh Gowariker's "What's Your Raashee?" opposite Hurman S. Baweja and Vishal Bharadwaj's "Kaminay" alongside Shahid Kapur.

Another honour for Priyanka Chopra

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra will receive the Nielsen Box Office Award for outstanding contribution to Asian cinema.

The award will be presented during the 3rd Annual Asian Film Awards on March 23. The awards will be part of the 33rd Hong Kong International Film Festival at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

"Priyanka Chopra is India's number one female star. She has received numerous awards and accolades for her outstanding work since she began acting just a few years ago," said Eric Mika, publisher of the Hollywood Reporter and vice president of Nielsen Media and Entertainment Group.

Priyanka, a former Miss World, will be the second recipient of the award. She joins Hong Kong film actor and producer Andy Lau, who received the inaugural award at the 2007 ceremony.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is upset with Priyanka Chopra for calling her beautiful but not mentioning her acting talent when she received the Filmfare best actress award.

While Priyanka Chopra is riding high after winning the Filmfare best actress award for her role in Fashion, things are not hunky dory for her on another level. Known for her usually restrained image and ever so politically correct statements, Priyanka rubbed Aishwarya Rai Bachchan the wrong way while giving her thank you speech after she received the award. This incident follows Priyanka's fallout with once-upon-a-time good friend Abhishek Bachchan who too is upset with Priyanka for wanting to groove to the same song ('Ma da laadla' from Dostana) which he had selected for the same function.

Priyanka said that she was very happy to be nominated (Fashion, Dostana) among the likes of the beautiful Aishwarya Rai (Jodhaa Akbar) and the talented Kajol (U, Me Aur Hum). Priyanka's euphoric statement however hasn't gone down well with Aishwarya.

Aishwarya is annoyed that Priyanka called her beautiful but said nothing about her acting talent.

An actor who was present at the function said, on condition of anonymity, "Priyanka should have chosen her words carefully. How can Priyanka sideline Aishwarya's acting abilities?"

"Aishwarya rarely loses her cool. But this time, she did. She is mighty upset with Priyanka," added our source.

We sent three text messages to Aishwarya but she did not reply. Priyanka too did not reply to our text messages.

Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra in all possibility have ended their two year long fight and have turned up pals again or so it seemed the way the two gorgeous ladies were spotted chatting away merrily at a FICCI event recently. Both Kareena and Priyanka were honored at the FICCI Frames and IIFA event for their contribution to the entertainment industry and the two had a great time together. The awards function was held to mark the 10th anniversary of Ficci-FRAMES and International Indian Film Academy. This is the first time the two ladies have been spotted talking to each other since their spat two years ago.

At this first FICCI- IIFA awards, Amitabh Bachchan, Shan Rukh Khan and eight other leading actors from the Bollywood were felicitated for the ‘Most Powerful Entertainers of the decade’. Others felicitated included actors Aamir Khan, Priety Zinta, Shilpa Shetty, Akshay Kumar, Aishwarya Rai, Hrithik Roshan, Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra.

Nowadays going de-glam is what every Bollywood actress is dreaming about. With the cut throat growing competition around, most of the A list glam gals are intending to shun their hot and glamorous image for once and let their role do their talking for them.

Bipasha Basu, Karishma Kapoor Rani Mukherjee have all done it. Katrina Kaif is the latest actress who will be going de glam for Prakash Jha's Rajniti.

But Priyanka Chopra does not believe in going de glam for a role in her film. When quizzed about it the actress says, "By taking off your make up you don't become a better actor. I think that it is something to hide behind and say I am uninhibited.

Half of Fashion I didn't have make up. I will do it when needed not just to show that I am acting well. And I think that is a greater challenge for any actor."

The actress says that to have a commercial success and yet have critical acclaim is what she will look forward to. "We make films for commercial success and I believe in box office success I don't want to see my films just in the drawing rooms. I like to balance. For me cinema is cinema I want to see films where I could be entertained" she adds further.

Priyanka says that she learnt the ropes of acting only by trial and error. "I do not belong to the film industry and didn't go to any school of acting. My first day in Bollywood was like going to a nursery."

When prodded further she ads "I don't think I have graduated yet as far as acting is considered. I am still in the 3rd standard right now" she adds with a smile.

2008 was Priyanka Chopra's year with hits like Fashion and Dostana. 2009 however seems to be more of Kareena Kapoor's year with the number of releases she has lined up. Here's taking a head to head look at both of them.

Movies: Priyanka has Vishal Bhardwaj's Kaminay and Ashutosh Gowariker's 'What's Your Rashee?' with Shahid Kapoor and Harman Baweja respectively. They may be good films but aren't exactly big budget blockbusters. Kareena, on the other hand, may have missed both Fashion and Dostana last year, but this year she has, Sajid Nadiadwala's big budget entertainer Kambakht Ishq with Akshay Kumar and Sylvester Stallone, Dharma Productions' Jihaad with Saif Ali Khan, Main aur Mrs. Khanna with Salman Khan and Raju Hirani's 3 Idiots with Aamir Khan, which are all highly anticipated films. So Priyanka has 2 confirmed releases while Bebo has 4.

Who wore the Saree Better? The answer is Kareena. Not only is her bright yellow saree more attractive than Priyanka's beige one but it is also the attitude, Kareena appears very confident while Priyanka seems a little shy and demure.

Better Beau? Kareena is dating Saif Ali Khan, who is an excellent actor, star, Rock star with her name tattooed on his hand. Priyanka is rumoured to be dating Shahid Kapur, who is Kareena's ex-boyfriend. Saif is an established star while Shahid still has to make it to the top. Saifeena are painting the town red but Shahid and Priyanka are still keeping their relationship under wraps.

Who wore the Dress Better? This is a little hard to decide. Kareena's dress flatters her figure better than Priyanka's does. Bebo's dress is conservative while Priyanka's short number is edgier. Priyanka's legs are slimmer than Bebo's and therefore there is a difference in the sandals as well.

Prettier Face? For those who like their women dusky and smouldering, it is Priyanka Chopra's Indian beauty with her bow-shaped lips and dusky complexion. Bebo, on the other hand has a very international appeal. With full lips, a perfect nose, high cheekbones, porcelain complexion, and enchanting green eyes, she is a picture of perfection and a classical beauty.

Better Body: Priyanka likes it black while Bebo likes it white. Priyanka in her figure flattering black gown is a lot sexier than slim Bebo in her white gown. Bebo is elegant and slim while Piggy Chops is sensual and voluptuous. Overall, Piggy has a naturally slim yet shapely frame while Bebo's frame fluctuates from skinny to voluptuous depending on her roles.

Priyanka Chopra is back with a bang, not just on professional front but on the personal as well.

After her break up with Harman, there seems to be a love story developing between her and Shahid Kapur.

The two are co-starring in the film “Kaminey” and live in the same building in Versova. But there’s more that the two seem to be sharing – chats on the phone and messages via the popular social networking site Facebook.

Priyanka, who is presently in Chicago shooting for “What’s Your Rashee”, is said to be a Facebook addict and has been seen off late exchanging messages with Shahid. They have been writing on each other’s walls and poking each other virtually.

However, in order to avoid being recognised, both have reportedly taken on different names. Priyanka calls herself Sir Pranks-A-Lot and Shaks is her name for Shahid, who in turn refers to Priyanka as Peefee!

Priyanka most wanted actress for endorsements

Priyanka Chopra, who gave two big hits last year - "Fashion" and "Dostana", is one of the most sought after actresses for brand endorsements, according to a survey.

A study by media monitoring company Adex India revealed that Priyanka is the queen of endorsements and is ranked second on the list of top-notch brand ambassadors of 2008 only after Shah Rukh Khan.

She leads the youth brigade as the face of brands like Lux, Ponds, Sunsilk, Hero Honda, Nokia, Tag Heuer, J. Hampsted and Virgin Comic.

As far as her film assignments go, the actress has a busy year ahead with two big movies in her kitty - Vishal Bharadwaj's "Kaminay" and Ashutosh Gowariker's "What's Your Rashee?", among others.

Shah Rukh has been taking more than a passing interest in the music for the films he produces. And Priyanka Chopra would vouch for that.

If she declares from rooftops that she is Shah Rukh Khan's biggest fan then it sure has a reason. The man just floors his ladies, without trying to be be charming.

What he did for Priyanka Chopra in Billu Barbar would certify as pure magnanimity and generosity, both as a considerate co-star and producer.

Shah Rukh decided to give away a large portion of his duet in Billu Barbar to Priyanka.

Says the film's excited music composer Pritam Chakraborty, "Shah Rukh took very close interest in each one of the songs. He isn't a musician. But he has an instinctive ear for music. It takes him just a few seconds to approve or cut down a track."

With the songs meant for Kareena Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, Pritam faced no problems. "Shah Rukh loved his songs with Kareena Marjana and Deepika Love mera hit hit. They were straightforward dance songs with shared grooves between Shah Rukh and Kareena/Deepika."

The Priyanka song needed special treatment. And Shah Rukh made Pritam re-work and re-record the song. Divulges Pritam, "Shah Rukh's song with Priyanka Khuda-ae-kher is not an item song. It's a love ballad that the pair playing Bollywood superstars, emote to in front of the camera.

Being a love song Shah Rukh felt there wasn't enough of the female presemce in the vocals. He made me re-record the song with more for the female vocalist (Dominique) to do since he wanted Priyanka to have an equal number of lines."

Irrfan Khan and Lara Dutta who play a rustic couple will later be seen enacting the same Shah Rukh-Priyanka ballad exactly the way the village couple had seen the stars do the song.

From sharing Akshay Kumar on screen in Andaaz to sharing the same love song, the Priyanka-Lara Dutta rivalry sure has come a long way.

Laughs Pritam, "It was entirely Shah Rukh's idea to give Priyanka more lines in the song. He's a very generous entertainer. If you see him on screen he never tries to steal the limelight from his heroines. Even Khai ke paan banaras wala had a lot of Priyanka in Don although it was entirely Shah Rukh's song."

When told about Shah Rukh's gesture, Priyanka stays silent for a while. She then sighs and says, "What do I say? Now do you know why he's my favourite?"

But what ensued on the sets of Raashee all of last week would count as a unique occurrence in the history of world cinema.

Under the choreographic supervision of Raju Khan, Priyanka performed to a song that required her to bring all the 12 characters together in all their varying moods and personalities.

Though Priyanka isn't allowed to speak about it, it was the toughest musical challenge of any actor's career, requiring her to swing from mood to mood at the drop of a beat. Apparently Priyanka wasn't allowed breaks between shots, as this would have broken the rhythm of the 12 characters as captured in one line of vision.

"Priyanka shot with Raju Khan (who is Saroj Khan's son) for 22 hours at a stretch. At times she couldn't sit or take a breather for hours at a stretch. It was very important to get the continuity right. Otherwise the characters's graph would've become lopsided. To dance and emote to a song in 12 different looks and makeup all at once is not an easy thing."

And to think Kareena Kapoor could be doing the song. It's confirmed. The outspoken Kareena says she was indeed supposed to do What's Your Raashee.

"Yes it was offered to me and Shahid Kapoor. I'd have loved to do another film with Shahid. But the dates were clashing with Karan's film that Rensil d'Silva is directing with me and Saif."

Kareena also clarifies that her opting out of Raashee had nothing to do with her split with Shahid. "We're professionals, all of us.

Even if I'm working in a film with Saif in place of a film with Shahid we're thorough professionals here in Philadelphia. There's no time to party or go out or do any of the fun things. We've been shooting in a tube station in below-freezing temperature and we need to cover as much work as possible in limited time."

Ironically What's Your Raashee was offered to Kareena and Shahid just after they split. Now another couple that has broken up is doing the film. But according to onlookers Priyanka and Hurman S Baweja are so compatible off and on screen that it's impossible to tell the status of their personal equation.

"They're laughing and joking on the sets even when they aren't facing the camera. In fact Hurman was there to support her when she did the tough 12-avatar dance act, "says a source.

If Priyanka Chopra declares from the rooftops that she is Shah Rukh Khan's biggest fan then it is with reason. The superstar, who has been taking more than a passing interest in the music of the films he produces, decided to give away a large portion of his duet in " Billu Barber " to her.

"Shah Rukh took very close interest in each one of the songs. He isn't a musician, but he has an instinctive ear for music. It takes him just a few seconds to approve or cut down a track," told composer Pritam Chakraborty.

With the songs meant for Kareena Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, Pritam faced no problems.

"Shah Rukh loved his songs with Kareena ('Marjani') and Deepika ('Love mera hit hit'). They were straightforward dance songs with shared grooves between Shah Rukh and Kareena and Deepika," said Pritam.

The song with Priyanka needed special treatment and Shah Rukh made Pritam re-work and re-record the song.

"Shah Rukh's song with Priyanka 'Khuda-ae-kher' is not an item song. It's a love ballad that the pair playing Bollywood superstars emote to in front of the camera. Being a love song Shah Rukh felt there wasn't enough of the female presence in the vocals. He made me re-record the song with more for the female vocalist (Dominique) to do since he wanted Priyanka to have an equal number of lines," the composer said.

"It was entirely Shah Rukh's idea to give Priyanka more lines in the song. He's a very generous entertainer. If you see him on screen he never tries to steal the limelight from his heroines. Even ' Khai ke paan banaras wala ' in 'Don' had a lot of Priyanka in it although it was entirely Shah Rukh's song," Pritam added.

Asked about Shah Rukh's generosity, Priyanka sighed and said: "What do I say? Now do you know why he's my favourite?"

Irrfan Khan and Lara Dutta, who play a rustic couple in "Billu Barber", will later be seen enacting the same Shah Rukh-Priyanka ballad.

In an interview with Subhash K Jha, Harman Baweja breaks his silence on Priyanka Chopra & related topics.

You've been pretty quiet of late?
I've been working while everyone has been doing the talking. What was there to say? I work better under stress.

And Ashutosh Gowariker's What's Your Raashee is a hard film to shoot, though I must say Mr Gowariker keeps the atmosphere on the sets light and work-friendly. He comes with surprises all the time. Not at all rigid about what he wants.

Is it tough to shoot the film when you and Priyanka have parted ways?
Not at all. Whether we were together or now, I don't think our work can ever get affected. We're thorough professionals about this. We've been great friends and we still are great things.

I believe the two of you are absolutely normal with each other on the sets of What's Your Raashee.
That just goes to prove that we continue to be friends.

How hard it is to work with her after the breakup?
It was fabulous working with her earlier. It's fabulous now. I don't think personal relationships should affect the quality of my work.

How friendly are you with Priyanka today?
As friendly as I was earlier.

Ironically Shahid and Kareena were the first choices for What's Your Raashee after they split. And now you and Priyanka?
If that's true then that's just a coincidence.

I believe Priyanka has a far more substantial role than you?
Ha, don't jump to conclusions. I don't want to give away the story. I'm shooting more than Priyanka is, whatever the perceptions of her role. Beyond that I'll say nothing. If I do I'll be screwed by Ashu Sir.

How did you deal with bitching about you latching on to someone far more successful?
I never needed to latch on to anyone for professional or personal gains. I never have. I never will. What I was put through after the release of Love Story 2050 was totally uncalled-for. It was almost as though I had committed a crime.

I don't understand why I had to face so much flak. I'm not the first debutant to deliver a dud. Even Neil Nitin Mukesh's debut film didn't live up to expectations. But he was treated far more kindly. I think the idea was to demoralize me.

Did they succeed?
Not the way they thought they would. But I do a have a mother, father and sister who were very hurt. They saw how hard I was working and when they saw the cruel comments they were very disturbed. May God forgive the backbiters for making my mother cry.

Why have you been subjected to so much criticism and ridicule?
I've no clue. It's not as if I haven't thought about it. At the end of the day 2050 was just a film. I wasn't at war with anyone.

The time since the release with your debut flopping to your breakup with Priyanka seems pretty harrowing?
It may seem awful from the outside. But I've been brought up to weather more severe storms. Yes these were setbacks. I didn't get the recognition that other debutantes who came with me like Ranbir, Neil and Imran.

But I don't envy them. I'm proud of them. Because they're part of my fraternity. I belong to a film family. We live eat breathe and talk cinema. Out here we don't celebrate others failures and our own success.

Are you saying you are happy with your career?
Of course! Even after the brickbats I am working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Ashutosh Gowariker and Anees Bazmi. It doesn't get any bigger. So what if my debut didn't work? These filmmakers still thought I had potential.

Did the stress level affect your work?
On the contrary Scorpios function better when they're under fire. Instead of agonizing over why I was dealt these blow I just decided make my chin stronger. I think the quality of my performances has improved because of what I had gone through. Thankfully with Victory coming around I think the ugliness is over.

Are you hopeful about Victory?
Of course I am. It's been a tough film to shoot. A lot of cricket training, lots of gruelling outdoor went into it. It was very detailed training. It was about 4 hours of training every day. It's taken its toll on my health.

I hope I get my due.My cricket coach Pravin Amre says if I had come to him some years earlier I could've played for the Ranji trophy. I want to pursue cricket beyond Victory.

You're now supposed to be seeing your Victory co-star Amrita Rao?
Today the audience is clever enough to see through these publicity stunts at the eve of a film's release. Minds that cook up these things are sick. I'm only now beginning to understand how such things work.

Some people think you're responsible?
I never spoke about my four-year old relationship. Why would I concoct a relationship with Amrita Rao?

If she declares from rooftops that she is Shah Rukh Khan's biggest fan then it with reason. The man just floors his ladies, without trying to be be charming.

What he did for Priyanka Chopra in Billu Barbar would certify as pure magnanimity and generosity, both as a considerate co-star and producer.

Shah Rukh decided to give away a large portion of his duet in Billu Barbar to Priyanka.

If you see him on screen he never tries to steal the limelight from his heroines. Even Khai ke paan banaras wala had a lot of Priyanka in Don although it was entirely Shah Rukh's song."

When told about Shah Rukh's gesture, Priyanka stays silent for a while. She then sighs and says, "What do I say? Now do you know why he's my favourite?"

After Deepika Padukone and Kareena Kapoor, it is Priyanka Chopra who gets to shake a leg with King Khan. Priyanka was last seen with Shahrukh in ‘Don’ and the duo set the screen afire with their song ‘Khaike Pan Banaras Wala’.

Billu Barber stars SRK, Lara Dutta and Irrfan Khan where Irrfan plays a barber, Shahrukh a superstar and Lara Dutta gets the role of Irrfan’s wife. The movie is slated for a February release.

It’s not everyday that B-town actresses appreciate the performances of their contemporaries.

But Priyanka Chopra and Amrita Rao seem to be an exception to this rule. The two actresses recently caught up during a special show of Victory which stars Hurman S Baweja opposite Amrita. An insider revealed that Priyanka loved Amrita’s performance in the film and couldn’t wait to tell her that. The source says, “Priyanka liked Amrita’s performance so much that after the screening she went up to her and told her how much she appreciated her work in the film. Amrita was quite touched to hear that from Priyanka and the two ladies were inseparable as they chatted amicably for a long time after that.”

All this even when rumours of Amrita being the new gal in Hurman’s life — which till now revolved around Priyanka — are doing rounds! Must say some actors can look beyond competition. Way to go girls!

Priyanka finally kisses on screen!

Priyanka Chopra is finally doing what she’s never done before, on screen that is. The actress will be kissing co-star Shahid Kapur in Vishal Bhardwaj’s “Kaminay”.

Till now Priyanka had firmly stuck to her no-kissing policy. So while she did do intimate scenes in “Aiteraaz” and “Fashion”, she avoided getting lip-locked with her co-stars. In fact, she even refused to kiss then-boyfriend Harman Baweja in “Love Story 2050”.

So at a time when there are reports of her break-up with Harman and growing closeness to Shahid, Priyanka has suddenly relented. Apparently, she has finally been convinced that the script does demand it, which had been her condition all these years.

It seems the scene has already been shot, but everyone is being tight-lipped about it.
