Preamble
Lately I’ve became interested in no-BCD diving style. It is in fact the most traditional form of diving there is, since SCUBA exists since 1943 and BCD was not introduced until 1957. A few words about Roatan. This island seems to be an English speaking conclave in Spanish speaking Honduras. Originally settled by slaves from Jamaica, Roatan is very much different from mainland Honduras. First and obvious difference is that everybody on the Island speaks English.
