Nothing could be further from the truth.

What I’d like to point out to you is that you CAN create your own ebook and other info products. And you can do it fast! And it’s easy! Even if you’ve never written a word in your life!

(If you’re new to the field, your main challenge may be getting recognized as an expert. But creating your own products will be easy once you learn the shortcuts and tips in this ebook!)

You see, it’s all about ‘perspective.’

The first time you see someone riding a bicycle, you immediately say “That’s not possible” or “I can’t do that.” And, maybe you’re right to some extent. You can’t ride a bicycle yet. But, that doesn’t mean you can’t ride a bicycle ever.

You just have to get on it, stumble a few times and before you know it, you’re balancing a metal frame on two wheels! Something that seemed impossible just a few days ago.

It’s the same with writing an ebook. In fact, it’s much easier than learning how to ride a bicycle.

The trick really is to just get started. Just start writing and let you thoughts flow. Don’t worry about spelling or grammar or sentence structure or formatting or any of that. Just get the information out of you. You can edit it later. If you edit while you write, you interrupt the flow of ideas.

You can also use a tape recorder and just talk freely into it. Imagine you’re talking to a friend and you’re giving her advice about X (where “X” is the subject you want to write about.) When you’re done, you can type it all out into your computer, or get someone to transcribe it.

What people should to realize is that you don’t need to be an English major to write an ebook. Just write the way you talk to a friend. Then, have someone read it out loud and see if either of you can find any areas that sounds choppy or confusing. You can also get a college student to edit it for you, if you’re not comfortable doing your own editing. (Although, personally, I prefer to read an ebook that seems like the author is “talking to me” (it seems more interactive) instead of an ebook that uses perfect grammer, and structure but ends up being boring.

If it still seems like a daunting task to write the book, just break the ebook up into sections or chapters, and knock them out one at a time… kinda like writing short reports. (Break the task up into smaller pieces and tackle it that way.)

Tip #1: The Secret to Free Traffic: Consistency

Many beginner marketers want to build a successful business overnight. But, the sad fact is it just doesn’t happen that way.

The most important key to getting a ton of free traffic is consistency. You won’t get a ton of readers by publishing one good article. You also won’t get a ton of watchers by releasing just one video. And yes, you won’t rank highly in the search engines overnight.

The key to consistently getting high volumes of traffic is putting out great content on a regular basis. This builds trust in both your customer’s eyes and in the search engines.

Tip #2: The Most Instant Method: Article Marketing

Article marketing has been around for a long time, but has become more relevant in the last five years. The technique is simple: Write an informative article and publish it to an online article directory like EzineArticles.

The keywords you target are very important. Try to discover keywords with a small to medium amount of search volume with low competing keywords. And don’t stop at one article. Aim to write at least one good article per week.

Tip #3: A Great Way to Build a Name: Video Marketing

Another effective traffic-generating strategy in recent times is video marketing. You can easily create a content video such as tips or teasers and distribute it to hundreds of websites. All in just a few minutes.

Again, consistency is the name of the game. You probably won’t be able to get a flood of traffic by submitting just one video. However if you establish yourself as a well known expert in your niche through video marketing, you can easily build a name for yourself, along with a ton of traffic and a ton of backlinks.

Tip #4: Search Engine Optimization

Although some may think it’s importance has diminished, SEO is still one of the most powerful method to get free traffic. It’s also the method that takes the a large chunk of time, is the most competitive and has a certain amount of randomness factor to it.

There are several key factors that come into play when getting your website highly ranked in the search engines. Having great unique content is one. Having a ton of backlinks to your website is another. Finally, selecting the right niche, subniche and the best keywords can make a world of difference.

If you have unique, up-to-date and innovative content, other sites linking to your website consistently and you choose a market with not too much competition but enough traffic to make it worth your while, then you have a good chance of having your website make it to the top of the search engines. And that’s what you want if you want more visibility.

Tip #5: Networking With Social Media

Social media applications such as Twitter, Facebook, Digg, LinkedIn, StumbleUpon and many others are often overlooked by internet marketers.

Getting your website to the top of Digg can get you so much traffic that it could get your hosting shut down. And this can happen, even if you’re running a dedicated server.

Understand there are two types of social media: Media that will generate traffic, such as Digg or StumbleUpon, or media that will help you get people who are already interested in what you do to come back, such as Facebook fan pages or Twitter accounts.

The main idea behind social media is becoming a part of the conversation with your target market. If you’re in the organic food and health community for example, your goal is to become well known enough in that community that your name means something. You want to be seen as not only being a part of that community but share great content in your conversations that you stand out and be seen as the expert in your niche.

All these social media platforms are fantastic tools to help you do that.

How Successful Can You Be With Free Traffic?

It’s a fact: there are literally hundreds of examples on the internet today of people building six and even seven figure businesses online. All without paying a cent in advertising.

The secret to this online success is to produce consistent high quality content and then market it well. If you apply even just one of the above techniques properly, you’ll get yourself a very nice steady stream of highly targeted traffic.

With these effective tips, you’ll increase your visibility in the marketplace, your credibility as an expert and ultimately increase your profits.
