Make-up Art Cosmetics (MAC)

MAC has been so popular among my friends and even among people nowadays especially the ladies. It is a manufacturer of cosmetics which is originally known famous through word-of-mouth endorsements by professional makeup artists, models and celebrities. I agree, you won't be ashamed recommending MAC to any of your friends. Wrapshell, a friend, did tell me about it. Mostly all my cosmetics were Avon, and now I have MAC. It's worth buying for plus you'll get a free face make-over (make-up) by their talented artists if you want. Usually, if you want to set appointment for a make-up, you will buy at least $50 worth of their products. That is what we do especially if there are special occasions that we would like ourselves to look prettier (cosmetics do wonders!) I can make-up myself but it is really different if you will ask someone to do it for you. So if you like to try MAC, you can go visit your nearest malls and look for MAC booths or stands...

AcneFree Update

I was too busy lately so I haven't updated my blog recently. I forgot to inform you guys how's AcneFree working. I bought a new package last time (see previous post) and tried it right away. It was a new package in orange and still it worked good on me. No more pimples and I let my hair grow now. No more bangs... Right now, I am still using the cleanser and the toner. I seldom use the moisturizer because I get lazy sometimes. A beauty regimen for me is so tiring sometimes. It only tells that I don't have much time for it (I wake up early for work, go to the office after school, go home late at night)... Well, no pain, no gain that is why I am trying my best to use it regularly, even just the cleanser and the toner. I don't need the moisturizer anyway because I have too oily skin (but still that moisturizer is good for the skin). I am glad I have found AcneFree. I have tried to use other brands for a change but I keep on coming back to it...

AcneFree To The Rescue

If you happened to wonder why I decided to cut my hair and had a new style which I was doubtful to try, it was because of my pimple/acne breakout. I was hesitant at first because I really thought I didn't look good with bangs but it turned out OK after I let it cut. I didn't have a choice but to have bangs in order to cover my forehead which was "under attacked" by acne. It was painful and ugly that it appeared to other parts of my skin too. Thank God, AcneFree is always to the rescue. We went to Walmart and bought another pack of AcneFree in a new package ($23.00). The bottles are now orange and not white. It has 4 steps now to clean and fight acne plus a bonus size pimple terminator. I always use this every time I have a pimple breakout because it is proven effective by studies and by me. It works on my skin which is too oily and maybe will work with your skin too. I now realized the cause of my breakouts because it happened too before. When I changed my pills, I started to have pimples. These pills were the same pills I used before when I had breakouts too. I thought it will work now with me but still, it gives the same problem to my skin. So I need to change brands again. My bad that I suspected Shiseido for giving me a hard time on my skin. But I had nice skin when I used it and a month later I used the pills. I am positive, the latter gave me the skin problem. Try AcneFree if you have pimple breakouts like mine.

Versace For Men

Have you decided already on what to give for your man this holiday? You may like to try giving him a perfume or scented spray. It is nice to have a collection of scents. He can use different scent for different moods or days. I like the Versace natural spray's scent. I am too sensetive that I get dizzy whenever I smell cologne or perfume scent especially if it is too strong and not pleasant for me. But this one smells good and I love it. If your guy loves collecting such product then a bottle of perfume would be perfect for him. But whatever gifts you are going to give this Christmas, your man will truly appreciate it. Jafra Blush-On

Have you heard of Jafra? Yes, it is a beauty brand name like Avon. They have cosmetics and body products too. A friend gave me this Jafra Blush-On as a gift last August and I really thankful to her. I like this blush-on ever! It stays on your skin that you don't have to re-apply it on your face. I like its color too which is Wine and it looks pretty on my skin color. If you know somebody that sells Jafra products, you should better try this. I forgot to ask the price from my friend but I guess, it is not that much. Try it and you will like it too.

Maybelline Mineral Powder

Mineral powder is today's fad. They say it is safer and good for the skin. I do agree, with sensetive skin like mine, this works good. Too bad, I made a mistake. I bought a shade that didn't fit my skin color. I just used it twice and planned to buy another shade because I have liked it. If you want to try it, you can check Walmart.com. They have free samples for you so you can try it before buying it. Now it is a waste but I will give it to my cousin so it will not be wasted.

Sea Breeze Gentle Cream Cleanser

Have you heard of the Sea Breeze Astringent for your hair? It is a good product used to get rid of dandruff or flakes especially this winter time. I have tried it when a hair artist applied it on my scalp when I had my hair done. She noticed that I got flakes and it was normal since it was winter at that time. I really hate it! So if you are suffering from flakes, try the astringent product from Sea Breeze. This cleanser is another product. A friend of mine gave me this last summer. This is a nice cleanser. Try it, this might suit you well.

Revlon Light Makeup

This makeup works good with me. My skin is so picky in regards with makeup for my face. I always have allergy everytime I put a foundation or any face powder, loose or compact. That is why I am happy that I found another makeup that suits me. I bought this one at Walmart and it is affordable. I still use other brands of makeup but not too often compared to this. I am scared that I will have pimple breakout if I wear other makeup too long on my face. It is best that before buying something, ask a sample first. Walmart has samples for different products especially the new one. I did ask a few before like their mineral foundation which was PK to me too. In this way, you won't waste money on buying something that can't be used. What I do is that I give my makeup to my relatives back home. In our tough economy now, we need to save.

Mary Kay Cosmetics

Mary Kay Inc markets health and beauty products. Just like Avon and other company, they sell skin care cosmetics and color cosmetics bearing the brand Mary Kay. I have used their cosmetics for about 2 months before I had my pimple breakout. I really liked their foundation and their lipstick. I had used also their cleanser, toner and moisturizer. But almost a couple of months later, I had to stop because I experienced rashes and pimple infection. I blamed it to the foundation. It was good at first but later on I was allergic to it. I was not really sure why but everytime I used it, I had a break out. That was why I stopped. But I really liked it. Too bad, it didn't work with my skin anymore. Mary Kay cosmetics are quite expensive but worth paying for.

Black Beauty

Black Beauty is a 2 in 1 Shampoo and Conditioner. I have used this for almost a year believing that my hair will improve in volume. This is similar to Mane and Tail shampoo which they say is a horse shampoo but very good for human hair when increasing hair volume is concerned. I tried that one too but I liked Black Beauty better because my hair is shiny and smooth. Regarding the hair volume, I wasn't sure if there was an improvement but I my hair fall was minimized. I still have some sachets left from the Philippines. I will use it someday again.

Wet 'N Wild Nail Polish

Since I came here in USA, I seldom use nail polish. Maybe I am too busy to paint my "paws" and never take time to color it. Only when I go to a nail salon, my nails will be colored and polished very nicely. I don't go too often, aside from it is expensive (more expensive if compared to what I have used to pay back in Philippines) it takes too much time. So I can only clean my nails during night time after work and I clean it myself. I bought some Wet 'N Wild nail polish bottles in different colors and applied each color one at a time. Recently, I tried red and I was so anxious with it. I wasn't used to have red especially bloody red on my nails. But they said it looked good. I would surely use that color again when I need it.

Rogaine for Hair Treatment

This is the best treatment that I have tried. It is expensive but it is worth it anyway.

I was having problems with my hair. Aside that my hair is so fine, I had falling hair too. When I took a shower, hair will clog on the drain and it is frustrating when you see lots of your hair that supposedly be in your head. It was then that a lady from a salon recommended Rogaine for women. An agent from the office also told me that this was so effective because he himself was using it. I told Frank right away and we bought a pack of it from Von's. I didn't like the smell though but after days of using it, I saw some hair growing. I was so happy that I keep on using it until I couldn't take the smell. It smells good but I am just too sensitive with any smell, even with perfume. It gave me headaches so I stopped. My hair still kept on growing and I got less hair fall. My hair's better now than before but sometimes, I still experience excessive hair fall. It might be normal since we ladies experience hormonal imbalance most of the time. Mmmm If this keeps on happening, I should better see a doctor then. Or I should use Rogaine again.

AVON Mineral Powder

Mineral beauty products are popular nowadays. So when I heard about it I was so happy because I thought, these products will finally work with my skin. I have a very sensitive skin. It is oily at times so I am prone to pimples if not taken cared of properly. That is why I am not using foundation and face powder always because it irritates my skin. If I have to put something on my face, it should be anti-bacterial or hypo-allergenic. Mineral products gave me hope to use face powder and foundation without any worry. So when AVON has it, I tried it right away. I used to sell AVON products and use it until now. I like their eye shadows, lip sticks and now, their mineral powder. I will stop looking for Johnson's Baby powder with nourishing milk anymore because that is the only loose powder that I can use since I found out about my allergy. No other brand, it should be with Milk and I can't find it here :( Thanks to AVON.

Best Deodorant for Me

I have tried a lot of deodorants already and I am too picky with it. I have used Avon products and it was OK but I hate the stain. I did try Secret too but I don't like the smell. At last, I have found my under arm partner, it is Dove. I like the mild scent and it doesn't give a smell that I hated. Also, I like Jafra's deodorant. It smells so good and I have let my husband use it. At night, I can still smell the flowery scent. Thanks to my friend who gave this and let me try it. Since then, I am using Dove and will consider Jafra for deodorants.

My husband bought this one for me but I have used it only a few times. I just didn't like the scent of it because it made me feel bad that I will almost puke. It was the same feeling like having a motion sickness. I guess, I was not suited to it. For me, it was too strong to my sense of smell. I am pretty sensetive with it. Is anybody here has tried this one and liked it? Or you don't like it too. At first, I liked the smell of it because I tried it before my husband paid the perfume. But later on, when it stayed longer on my skin or shirt, I felt sick. That was why I am using a different scent now and I gave this to my Mom in Philippines. I didn't want to give it because my husband gave it to me as a gift. Well, I told him that its effect and it was OK with my decision as long that it was not thrown away or wasted. My mom kinda like it so right now, XOXO HeartBeat "beats" to someone who likes it best.

SunSilk Gold

It says it is good for hair that lack volume so I tried it. I have used SunSilk since I was a kid, maybe after I have stopped using baby shampoo :) My mom has a store before and we used to sell shampoo in sachets. Every time we ran out of it, we just took sachets from the store and our choice was SunSilk. I got used with it but when I started using different brands, my hair was dry. Maybe that was the reason why I have a bad hair now. Unlike before, my hair is always dry, brittle and flat. I have been using different shampoo and haven't settled for something that really works for me. Now I am back with SunSilk and so far, it is working OK with my hair. I chose the gold one, the anti-flat because that's what I need most for my no-body hair, to give it extra volume and shine.

Renuzit Air Freshener

It was an opportunity at Social Spark that made me have this free kit from Renuzit. I also had some coupons that I already used. I purchased other Renuzit freshener products with discounts. I have liked this air freshener. Usually, I get dizzy with air freshener but this one is different. It smells good like you have your own garden of flowers in your living room. Every time I cook something that will make our room smelly, I just plug this in and the smell changes from food to flowers. Even hubby likes it too. I use this only when I am at home but sometimes forget about it because the room stays fresh. The smell still lingers even if I have unplugged it already. I would buy more of the bottled scents if I am out of it...

Bio-Oil for Stretch Marks

A good friend has recommended this one to me. She is using this product until now and told me that it is effective. You can buy this in any grocery store in the medicine aisle for $11.00-$12.00. I bought one at Wal-Mart and been using it for 3 months now. Sometimes, I forget to apply it during night time before going to bed. I am using this because of my stretch marks on my thighs. I have gained weight and obviously my skin stretched causing stretch marks. I did observe that some marks faded. We need to use this for at least 6 months to get the results. Aside from Palmer's and other stretch marks minimizer, this product is OK to use for pregnant women. It is really effective if you are diligent in applying it on your stretch marks. I will keep myself be reminded about it.

AcneFree 3-Step System

When I arrived here in US, I had a pimple breakout. I didn't know what to do with it since my usual beauty product didn't work. I got acne and rashes that left some marks on my face. Sigh... Then a friend noticed it and recommended ProActive Solution for my face because that's what she used. According to her, it is very effective. I saw ProActive Solution commercial on TV and they sent me also some ads and flyers in the mail. I was about to purchase it when I saw AcneFree on the beauty aisle of Wal-Mart store. What attracted me most was that it was more effective than ProActive and it was cheaper ($19.00 while the Pimple Peel and oil free moisturizer was $16.00). So I told my husband if I can try it and he nodded. I also checked the internet and found out that according to survey, it was really higher by rank than the other one. I have used it for more than a year and just stopped it a month ago when I purchased Shiseido. AcneFree worked good on me but of course, Shiseido's better because it is more expensive. You can tell the difference when you use the cleanser. You will feel very clean with Shiseido. But if your purpose is to mainly prevent acne and to save money, AcneFree works.

I love my new beauty regimen! A friend has recommended me Shiseido beauty products because these work good on her and these suit Asian skin. I did try one day at a mall, I had a facial massage and treatment. It felt good and looked like the products work OK on my skin so I bought a cleanser foam, toner, moisturizers (daytime and night time) and a face powder. I have free lipstick, foundation and a moisturizer. I felt beautiful after the massage, my face looked very clean and it felt good. I have oily skin and allergy to any face powder so the lady in-charged recommended me to use the products in blue packaging which are anti-bacterial. So far, so good! You should try it too. Visit your plaza mall or stores where Shiseido beauty products are available.

First State Quarters of The United States

I have this first state quarters of USA collector's map and it is almost complete. I need 5 more state quarters: Hawaii, Alaska, Oklahoma, Minnesotta and Indiana. I have been collecting since last year when hubby gave me this map and I really want to complete it.

I received a letter from a company that sells collectible coins. They said that these quarters would be no longer available soon. The production of this has been stopped so if you are a coin collector, better preserve these coins, to preserve history. Of course, I didn't buy because I have collected some already. I wish I can find these reamining state quarters. I even asked my friends to look some coins for me. I just like collecting at the same time, watching closely and studying the coins. The images on the coin represent the state and it is quite interesting. Now if you do have the quarters I've been looking, can you please send it to me? ;)

ALLI Dieting Pills

For the record, I started taking Alli pills last Sunday, September 1. I will only try this for about a month. The kit is $47.00 at Wal-Mart and since I had a discount coupon from the manufacturer, I have spent less. For the first 2 days, I felt no difference and started my diet and exercise diligently. Today, the third day, I ate Subway sandwich with Italian salami in it ( I know it is loaded with fats) and I felt my stomach was upset. I could see some oils/fats on my disposal. It feels great when you see the fats came out from your body instead of absorbing it. I like the pills so far but my weight has not changed yet. Of course, it won't take effect right away. I read that it will take six months to lose at an average of 15 lbs. That would be too difficult! I gained 20 lbs after a year and it would be impossible to lose it in a few months. I need to work harder then. I'll let you know the updates then.

As for now, I am 138 lbs and 5'4" tall. It is said that I should not take Alli pills if I am not overweight but I really want to try it just for a month. I really want to lose weight and bring back my nice figure. So wish me luck!
