His latest project was shooting promotional photography for DRIFTER Movie, the directorial debut of Sung Kang, best known to fans worldwide as Han from The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. Sung Kang not only directs but also stars in the film, which is being promoted through a global campaign, a world tour built around iconic, instantly recognisable locations across different cities. Alexandru was brought on to capture London. That meant working through the night beneath Big Ben, using the city's most recognisable landmark as a backdrop. True to his approach, Alexandru embraced the unpredictability of night shooting to capture mood and atmosphere rather than simply document the scene, drawing on the same understanding of light, shadow, and colour that defines his automotive work.
