Well Hello Moto! Motorola has officially announced the awesome Motorola RAZR2, the worthy successor to the most popular cell phone of all time. How did they make it better you ask? Well they've made it leaner and meaner and packed it with goodies! First, the RAZR2 comes in 2mm thinner than the original RAZR. Next, the 2.2 inch main display has twice the resolution of the original RAZR, and the external display has been bumped up to 2 inches. Throw in a stainless steel internal frame for durability, a 2 megapixel camera, a full media player, a full HTML browser, built-in email, point-to-point video, and Google mobile search - and voila - you've got a rockin' RAZR2. The RAZR2 will be available in three versions: the V9 (3G HSDPA), the V9m (EVDO CDMA) and the V8 (GSM). Expect to see the initial GSM versions available in July 2007, with the additional versions to roll out a little later in the year.

In addition to the new design, the wonderful 1024x600 backlit screen, and the nice split QWERTY keyboard, the newest enhancement is the price - starting at a very reasonable $799 for this hot Vista-based handheld device. At that price, we're getting almost as cheap as a high end pocket pc - but with full PC power! You'll be able to find the Q1 Ultra just about everywhere, including Best Buy, Circuit City, and Amazon.

So expect the newest successor in the Cyber-shot line, the Sony Ericsson K810, to be a very hot item. The K810 introduces a new design, and a variety of additional features, including illuminated camera icons for quickly setting various camera modes (like picture size and self-timer), and a Photo fix application which helps improve the quality of your photos, even after you have taken them. The K810 has started shipping in Hong Kong. Expect to see it (and the European version Sony Ericsson K810i) shipping to the rest of the world throughout Q2 2007.

They first did it with the 8100, naming it the Pearl - and they've done it again with the brand new BlackBerry 8300, calling it the BlackBerry Curve. The Curve is a fantastic new smartphone, their smallest and lightest smartphone to date to sport a full QWERTY keyboard, and the first BlackBerry to have a full keyboard and a camera (coming in at 2 megapixels). The Curve is packed with media and web features, including a music player, a full screen video player, and an HTML web browser. The media software on the Curve has also been updated to make it easier to navigate and search for all of your media files. The hot new BlackBerry Curve will be available worldwide this spring.

Sprint has lowered the price of the new Samsung Upstage to a very nice $99.99 (with $50 rebate) - squarely putting this still very hot new phone within reach of just about everyone. We really like the new form factor introduced by the Upstage - a standard phone interface on one side, and an MP3 player interface on the other side - and with the 99 cent music downloads available from the Sprint Music Store, the market for this slick device is sure to take off.

The N76 super thin media phone is billed by Nokia as a revolutionary multimedia computer, and it is indeed loaded with multimedia and internet features, elegantly designed into a Symbian S60 third edition based ultra-thin flip handset. The phone holds up to 1500 songs, and features dedicated external music buttons for quick access. To highlight the media features, Nokia is providing new owners of the N76 with a voucher that allows them to download 5 songs from the group Travis for free. The N76 is available for about $500. We can't wait for this hot little number to rollout worldwide!

It's rumored to be the much anticipated successor to the very slick Nokia 8800, coming in at a lower price point, but equally as fashionable with a slim curved design, and a semi-transparent sliding hood. Throw in an MP3 player, 1GB of included memory, and a 2 megapixel camera for pics and video - and we've got a rockin' high style phone that's a worthy successor to the 8800.
You gotta love it when a device as popular as the Sidekick gets a makeover to make it even more affordable, and put it in the hands of even more consumers. Such is the case with the very cool new T-Mobile Sidekick iD. The Sidekick iD comes in at a low price point - just $99 with a 2 year agreement and mail in rebate. But it doesn't stop there - it also brings a very slick and easy way to customize the device - replaceable color panels that allow users to dress up their Sidekick to match their outfit or mood. Throw in all of the great core Sidekick functionality, like the swivel screen, full QWERTY keyboard, and always on email and messaging - and the Sidekick iD should really take off! Watch for the Sidekick iD to be available on April 25.
