Despite all I have said in the past I will tell you the absolute truth about web enterprise: there is a lot to learn and YES you do need to know web programming to be a viable competitor.

Based upon that information and the fact that I have a full time job I have discontinued my efforts in web enterprise.

Hi lonely readers,

I apologize for disappearing. When online marketing was my 'job' I then had no employer. When I got a job mid 2008 I had no time for marketing.

Regrettably I have since lost any credibility I had with my sites. I play fully to start again but with completely different approach. www.water-gas-scam.com was not a viable solution for my first venture. It required too much faith from the consumer. Better choices would include things that teach people skills that don't require 'magic' to work or require 'faith' to sell.

More on this in the future.

New Website Tools

I'll soon be upgrading my web authoring software to a near-automated, super user friendly application. I don't want to say more yet, only because I haven't tried the software yet. Once I've experienced it I'll say more. Just know that news is forthcoming.

Here is some actual news. I made a sale with absolutely NO advertising. That means it was 100% profit. Granted, one sale in 5 days is no big deal but it is a start. And when I've better optimized my site and have continued my article writing I think things will start to pick up. Stay posted!

The cessation of spending, temporarily

I have made a decision. No more spending on AdWords until I understand ALL of the priciples of Profit Lance enough to actually make money rather than just spend. I did a trial of $30/day for three days. The first day I made $67, the next day I made $33 and the final day I made $0. I just filtered money for Google again. So now I am going to do much more in the way of articles, blogs, forums, etc to boost my site traffic. I am sure that I also need to update my site content again as I now understand more of what is 'good' and 'bad' for SEO (search engine optimization) and more importantly for PO (people optimization). What do you guys think. Is my site good enough or is it a shambles? Let me know. I'll let you know how it goes without adverts. For now I am getting traffic and clicks (I have tracking in place on the site) but no purchases. More learning to do!

Online Articles

Just a quick not to let you know I've begun posting articles online at two different sites. You can find me on ezinearticles.com and goarticles.com. I recommend checking on the articles from time to time simply because there I am trying to make a coherent, informative piece rather than just a blog. Check it out if you like. Profit Lance trials, Google AdWords failure

This past week I went absolutely INSANE with Google AdWords. I made a lot of money in one week. See my ClickBank account screenshot as of right now...

Here is the problem. I didn't follow all of the directions included in the Profit Lance course so while I did make a good bit of cash, I spent just as much on AdWords. Here is a screenshot of my account info downloaded into excel from AdWords.

If you compare the dates you can easily see that my spending paced my income. Basically, unless you have the only product in your niche, you really have NO BUSINESS on adwords until you understand all of the concepts involved in the Profit Lance course. I have now locked my advertising budget at a few dollars less than what one sale earns me so at least if all I get is one sale per day I'm not losing money.

The point of this post is to let you know that visibility via PPC (pay per click) is NOT a great idea unless you have lot more different and free ways of 'advertising' you site. This stuff isn't for the impatient. I was being impatient last week and I didn't gain anything for it. Imagine it, $1400 earned and all of it is spent on advertising. That is no way to do business. It's all about word of mouth. You have to show people.

So here is the plan...follow the plan. I know, genius.

Blogging is one part of it. eZine articles is another. Join forum discussions. In all things be relavent. Don't ramble about things which you know nothing about. Be concise and informative.
Above all, don't quit your day job. At least not yet.

Money, Money!

Yes, only two "Money's". I've made some cash this week. Here is a screen capture of my clickbank account.

I've also put together a crude Excel document to help me track my expenses and make sure I'm actually making money at this stuff. So far I haven't followed the rules, and I'm still making money! I just moments ago submitted my first online article for publication. I should be doing one EVERY DAY. But I'm lazy and busy with the 8-5 job.

As you can see I'm currently in the red $220. But, if I omit the one time costs or the annually recurring costs, I'm then in the black $92! And that is awesome. You can see that I've spent a LOT on Google adwords. This is because my website needs optimization and some tweeks. I used a template to go live but now I need to rebuild it with better graphics and even more useful information.
For now I'm getting basically 1 sale per day, which is pretty poor considering how many people are on the web each day. But with the article marketing I hope to double that and with the website update I hope to make it 1.5 or even 2 times better than that. I have no scientific reason for those numbers, I'm just setting a realistic goal and trying to figure out a cost effective way of getting there.

The First Few Days

It is a lot of work. Believe me. I had a 'vacation' from my full time job so all I did for an entire week was study Profit Lance, keywords, niche's, and HTML coding. I learned a TON about marketing and the web. I still have a lot to learn. As of today I have earned over $100 in commissions. Here is a screen capture of my clickbank account as of right now.

I know it seems puny, but this is from just one website over 3 days time, and just think....if you could get just $20/weekday in profit (after expenses) that would be over $400/month. And the amount of work it took to do this was about 2-4 hours for a novice like myself.
The amount of information in the Profit Lance system is unbelievable for how much you pay. About $70 depending on when you buy. The price does seem to fluctuate.

I should mention that this is Affiliate Marketing, meaning I have no product and make no sales. I simply attract customers for people that DO sell things and I earn a commission.

Here is a REAL list of my expenses for this site, rounded for simplicity:
Profit Lance course: $67
Web Hosting (1 year with unlimited domains) : $80
Domain registry: included with hosting above FREE ($10 per additional)
Google Adwords: $50

Now keep in mind that these are STARTUP COSTS, not per-site costs. After the startup costs each new site will only cost me $10 plus any advertising I might decide to buy. But, I don't even have to advertise. So it can be done for only $10 after startup costs.

So I love Profit Lance so far. I just found a page with about 60 training videos on top of all the other content on the site. It is truly amazing!

I'll be back SOONER with another update. I have more skills to implement, but in the meantime I have a 8-5 job to be productive at.

At first glance, Profit Lance...

From the first moment I logged into my Profit Lance account...no, even before I had logged in...I was excited! From the research I'd done prior to deciding to use the Profit Lance system I started to realize this was for real. No scam or scheme or MLM (multi-level marketing) BS here. This is all real, truthful, honest information. I wish I would have thought to tell this story from the first second, but I was so excited I couldn't think about much else.

I've been registered with Profit Lance for seven days so far. I have made money with next to no effort. Not big money by any means. But, hmm...if I were to equate it to how much time I spent on it I would currently be making $4.44/hr. Now, that is with me having completed what I approximate to %10 of the available reading with the course and one half of 1% of the practice recommended by the course. And it isn't hard, let me tell you.
This course is set up so that you don't need to know ANYTHING about websites or the internet except how to USE them. Typing, pointing, clicking, reading. That is what this boils down to. Sure, there is research. Sure, there is thinking.
Again, this is NOT a get rich quick scheme or a scam.

The Profit Lance system is truly a system. To put it another way, it is a series of steps that will guide you to a better understanding of your own personal knowledge and how to use the internet to make money.

The purpose of this blog is to inform those of you who are also searching, like I was, for a way to make some additional money. Times are getting a little more tough and the extra income you can earn using the techniques in the Profit Lance program just might save the day.

Each time I learn something new about the PL program, I will blog about it. I'll tell you what I'm learning about making a profit online. I'll tell you how much time I'm spending to learn about and manage my online 'businesses'. I'll tell you all I can about my experiences with Profit Lance and all of the related skills I learn through the course and the practice they provide.

Here is one AWESOME part of the PL course: the practice lessons can actually earn you REAL MONEY, and it's just practice. I've seen it already.
