KING GEORGE COUNTY NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Board of Supervisors of the County of King George, Virginia (“Board”) will hold a public hearing to receive public comment and input regarding the following cases on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at 6:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as may be possible, in the King George High School Auditorium, 10100 Foxes Way, King George, Virginia 22485 and via electronic participation, as set forth below. The Planning Commission of the County of King George, Virginia will hold a public hearing to receive public comment and input regarding Case Number 19-08-Z03 on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. in the King George High School Auditorium, 10100 Foxes Way, King George, Virginia 22485 and via electronic participation, as set forth below.

Case Number 19-08-Z03: Request by PR Farm LLC to rezone, with proffers, Tax Map 9, Parcel 5 from Limited Agricultural District (A-1) to Resort Community District (RC). Total project area 332.32 acres. Master Development Plan proposes a resort community with temporary lodging for 900 occupants (including tent platforms), staff cottages for 18 occupants, a chapel, an amphitheater, and other uses including special events for up to 440 people. The property is currently zoned Limited Agricultural (A-1); the minimum lot size in the Agricultural Zoning District is ten (10) acres. The requested zoning is Resort Community (RC). Per the King George County Comprehensive Plan (2019), the property is located in the Potomac River/North Rural Development Area.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Board of Supervisors of the County of King George, Virginia (“Board”) will hold a public hearing to receive public comment and input regarding a Proposed Tax Relief for Vehicles Modified to Transport the Disabled on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at 6:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as may be possible, in the King George High School Auditorium, 10100 Foxes Way, King George, Virginia 22485 and via electronic participation, as set forth below. Please take notice that pursuant to Virginia Law, the King George County Continuity of Government Ordinance and the Rules previously adopted by the Board, the Public Hearing may be held with electronic participation by some Board members, with a quorum physically present. This action is taken as a result of the covid-19 pandemic and the governor's orders regarding limiting of gatherings and staying in place during a disaster.

The general public will be afforded both in-person and remote/electronic access to this meeting. King George County will be following CDC guidelines and the Governor’s Executive Order 61 regarding social distancing and other safety measures. Attendees will be screened for signs of illness by the King George County Fire and Rescue Department medical staff and based on the results of the screenings, certain people may be denied access in person for the meeting at the discretion of staff; and will then be encouraged to attend by phone or online.
