The words “nursery mobile” always had a certain stigma attached to it for me. I was never a big fan. Words such as wind-up and hanging characters made me cringe, but for the sake of the baby’s entertainment value, it was a must. Who knew these dangling little doo-dads could be such a delight? Lex Modern Art For Kids

I have an itty bitty addiction to those “members-only” shopping sites. Every morning my heart flutters when I see my inbox is flooded with the daily shopping deals available to me. It’s a little silly when you consider I don’t actually buy very often but I enjoy my daily browsing fix and sometimes I find a real gem. So just the other day I saw these bold and adorable canvas wall art for kids rooms by Lex Modern. The funky owls, happy monkeys, air guitars and mod daisies jumped out at me and I thought in the right space they would look fantastic. I especially like some of the stylish color combinations like gray and hot pink or turquoise and orange. Lex Modern will let you add your tykes name to any image and with multiple color and size options, they can fit just about any nursery or kids room. Ohh, and the handprint kit is just about the coolest out there with everything you need to always remember those tiny baby hands or feet.

Gallery Round Up: Mom’s Traditional Back to School Dinner

Do you remember your first day of school? From the excitement of showing off your new lunch pail to the desperation of passing at least one neighborhood friend in the hallway, that Autumn day was filled with both promise and anxiety. Mother of twin girls Michal and Kenna (and mom blogger!), Kristi, started a new tradition that we just had to share. Kristi used vintage school books and origami flowers to dress her second annual “Back to School Dinner”. The girls used their best manners when dining with mom’s fancy china! Kristi kept the evening kid-friendly and fun by serving foods like tomato soup and cheese pasta.

Mother of Five says, “It’s time a for a Change!”

Here’s one of those designs that have us saying “Why didn’t I think of that?”. When mother of five Paige Burton grew tired of the unattractive and idle changing tables collecting in her basement she came up with “Time for a Change”.

You see, Paige was finding that her relatives opted for the carpeted floor in lieu of navigating the awkward angle that accompanies rectangular tables. Therefore, her patented round changing tables are not only designed to be beautiful but also functional. It’s circular top and supply ledge below the table top frees up room for baby – Genius!

Cupcakes Go Couture With The Cupcake Tower

I knew at the age of five that cupcakes were nothing short of amazing. Now why couldn’t I have put that knowledge to work and capitalized on the cupcake craze that has taken over the nation? Magnolia Bakery in NYC’s village was one of the first on the scene then came Billy’s Bakery followed by Sprinkles in LA and Cupcake Royale in Seattle. East Coast to West Coast and everywhere in between its cupcakes gone wild! So, of course its now time to show proper worship to these delicate cakes with the right decor. My current favorite is The Cupcake Tower. It is the absolute perfect accessory to the cupcake and every party throwing parent is sure to use The Cupcake Tower over and over. In fact, I pulled mine out last week at my kids impromptu lemonade/cupcake stand in front of the house. We, I mean they, pulled in $60! Must have been that Cupcake Tower…..

In all seriousness, cupcakes are a must at kid’s parties and The Cupcake Tower is an easy and fabulous way to display these mini cakes. You choose the size and shape of the tower.
