Nothing seems more girly and feminine then soft shades of pink and green. I’ve passed along the excitement for all things pink to my own daughter and I hope her eyes always twinkle when she sees a perfectly pink frosted cupcake or sparkly fairy costume. Ella and Halle’s mother Hana also likes things soft and pretty (with a dash of vintage) because she created a nursery filled with sweetness and light. Hana was creative with her finds and with a limited budget crafted many of the extras herself.

What was your inspiration for the room?
I wanted to have a soft and sweet space for my girls to sleep and play. I started with a simple color palette of pink and green and added a few color touches around the room!

What is your favorite item(s) in the room?
I LOVE the vintage planters! I bought them on ebay and loved how they look in the nursery!
I also love the baby quilt I made for my daughter using varoius designer fabrics in shades of pink, green, brown, and aqua.
The shabby chic garland is a simple yet beautiful project you can do yourself using strips of fabric, ribbon, and various trinkets. Tie in a few drapery clips to hold photos of your baby or other sweet mementos.

Most of the room decor and furniture came from these sites: giggle.com, fawnandforest.com and sparkability.net and Potterybarn Kids. The dresser is by Oeuf and play table in playroom is by ducduc. The mobile of silk flowers and hummingbird are by me, purchased from craft store. The branch was picked in the woods, painted and the butterflies purchased at craft store. The main paint in the room is “Eggshell” by Fresh Aire low VOC. The Magenta color is a custom color picked at Lowe’s. The real shell magenta curtains are from shopwildthings.com.

Usually a week doesn’t go by without a friend or relative asking me for gift ideas. I can usually come up with a few good suggestions but with at least one birthday party on the schedule every weekend for the little ones I sometimes need a little fresh thinking in the gift department too. Lime Blossom Naturals is a lifestyle boutique dedicated to “green living, one baby at a time”. London’s parents received some terrific help from owner Misty Vento and her store to create year round Cherry Blossoms in the nursery.

What best describes your decorating style?
Whatever looks good…I like to mix and match styles but I don’t like “packaged” looks or straight out of a magazine designs. I prefer originality and quality.

A lot of help from Misty Vento with Lime Blossom Naturals. Tavern Taupe by Sherwin Williams on the walls. Custom Wainscoating and custom valance made from the same material as the Garden Blossom Crib Set by Dwell Studio.

Too many to choose really but I love the mural that Misty did and the furniture. I think it all ties in very well so the room as a whole is even better than the parts.
