A large number of homebuyers and tenants are buying houses in the area because of the high value of each home. In the past year, there’s been an increase of homebuyers in the area. The area boasts affordable homes, which is a homebuyers dream.</p>
<p>Suburbs like <a title="Info on Kuils River" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kuils_River">Kuils River</a> and <a title="Map of Sonstraal" href="http://www.maplandia.com/south-africa/western-cape/bellville/sonstraal/">Sonstraal</a> are famous for pulling in homebuyers looking for affordable houses. Most of these homes are just under R800 000 making them ideal for any first-time buyer. Some buyers are lucky enough in obtaining bonds which isn’t easy and banks are reluctant in issuing home loans due to the high number of South African’s in debt.</p>
<p>Homes, which are selling the most, are the ones priced between R800 000 and R1.6 million. Most buyers choose to go for an older family home because of the value the house has. There’s also been a large number of homebuyers who are purchasing houses priced between R1.6 million and R2.5 million. Houses that are higher than R2.5 million are also selling quite well, making Tygerberg property one of the sought after areas.</p>
<p>Some homebuyers are so eager to buy a home; they actually have a cash deposit ready and waiting. It’s quite unusual but the property market is selling like hot cakes, who wouldn’t want to be part of the action. Smaller houses and townhouses are attracting younger families who are looking for something small and affordable in the Durbanville area. Currently there’s a private school under construction, which is also set to attract families looking for a home.</p>
<p>Buying property is a dream, which unfortunately won’t come true for everyone. Hence renting is so popular because it gives one the chance to save until they can afford a home. A number of tenants are opting to renew their lease agreement whilst others extend it for longer periods. Interest in the property market started towards the end of last year and has continued to rise. Homebuyers are also reasonable when pricing their homes thus making it easy to acquire a home for first time buyers.</p>

This venture went through a lot of discussion all of which has paid off. The venture also comes in at the perfect time to help alleviate Cape Town’s <a title="Housing Shortage" href="http://www.capetown.gov.za/en/Pages/WELCOMEADDRESSFORTHESAHOUSING.aspx">housing shortage</a>.</p>
<p>Three types of houses need are going to be part of the process. Courtyard dwellings, semi-detached houses and double/triple story <a title="Brackenfell Apartments" href="http://www.privateproperty.co.za/apartments-for-sale/brackenfell/883.htm">apartments</a>. Public participation will take place after the announcement, as a public consultation process needs to take place. The City of Cape Town is playing its role in supporting government’s means at creating basic housing for all South Africans.</p>

The 2012 Two Oceans Marathon Race takes place on Saturday 07 April 2012. The run will begin in Newlands, past Chapman’s Peak, onto Houtbay and Constantia Nek.  The main race (ultra-race) is 56km in distance and will start at 06:25 on Saturday April 7th.<br />

<p>South Africa is blessed with a coastline that wraps all the way around its pretty edges, and many people are drawn to the beauty of the ocean to work, live and/or retire. If you want to live at the sea, but living costs are an important factor in your decision for an east or west coast residence, then you’ll find this piece of information quite fascinating.</p>
<p>Just looking at <a href="http://www.privateproperty.co.za/cape-town-property/55.htm">property listings</a> alone, you would think that Cape Town is the most expensive city to live in, in South Africa. Let’s compare property prices: an 11-bedroom, 11-bathroom house in Claremont is listed at R23 million, whereas a 14-bedroom, 13-bathroom house for sale in Amanzimtoti is listed at R5,9 million. It’s not difficult to assume then that Cape Town is a lot more expensive to live in than Durban.</p>
<p>However, a recent study shows that living in Durban could quickly put a strain on residents’ wallets, especially in the property sphere. Cape Tonians were surprised by this, but it’s now no secret that developed property in Durban is a whopping 30% higher than anywhere else in South Africa.</p>
<p>Durban is expensive because of its controversial surcharges, which are currently being investigated by the <a href="http://www.sapoa.org.za/">South African Property Owners Association (Sapoa)</a> because they significantly increase the cost of property development. Durban is also expensive because of its high water and electricity tariffs, as well as the costs of connecting to these services.</p>
<p>So the good news it’s a lot more cost-effective to live in Cape Town than in Durban. What are you waiting for?</p>

<p>The Cape Town suburb of Llandudno is an upmarket area and is prized for its privacy and exclusivity. <a href="http://www.privateproperty.co.za/property-rentals-clifton-camps-bay-llandudno/652.htm?searchterm=llandudno">Houses for sale in Llandudno</a> are priced for a very high-end market and run into the millions. I saw an 8-bedroom, 8-bathroom house that resembles the house of the character Tony Stark in the Iron Man movies. The house in question could be yours if you have R45 million and are willing to part with it.</p>
<p>So what makes houses for sale in  so exclusively priced? This suburb boasts no commercial centre; there are no street lights or shops here, and there is only one road that leads into this expensive “village” (as it is regarded by its residents). The Llandudno beach is unspoiled and stretches off in both directions of the suburb. The Sandy Bay nude beach is just a 20 minute walk away and the vibrant <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hout_Bay">Hout Bay</a> is just over the hill, a 5 minute drive away.</p>
<p>Of all the things on my vision board, I’ll leave the Llandudno property for last. I may need a little more time to save up.</p>
