Property tax at Idaho Tax

Budget and Levy Training is nearly here

This is a reminder that this year's Budget and Levy Training will be starting next week. There are two sessions:

8:30 - noon for taxing districts and counties
1:30 to 4:00 for county clerks

Bring a pen or pencil and calculator as there are working problems to do during the session. And since we can't control temperatures in our facilities, we suggest you dress in layers.

Notice of negotiated rulemaking of property tax rules

The Idaho State Tax Commission will be conducting Negotiated Rulemaking on the following property tax rules:
Rule 605. Property Exempt from Taxation - Property Used for School or Educational Purposes
Rule 620. Exemption for Never Occupied Residential Improvements and Commercial, Industrial and Residential Site Improvements

Land developers have until May 1 to claim new property tax exemption for site improvements

Idaho Tax Commission sets 2012 homeowner’s exemption

BOISE, IDAHO — Oct. 3, 2011 — The maximum homeowner’s exemption for 2012 will decrease to $83,974, according to calculations by the Idaho State Tax Commission. The maximum exemption for 2011 is $92,040. (Read more)

BOISE, IDAHO — June 20, 2011 — Residents in 21 Idaho counties can estimate their 2011 property taxes by visiting the Idaho State Tax Commission’s website at tax.idaho.gov. 2011 BOE Training Schedule
