]]> Hey friends, it’s been a while!

Last year, we suffered a massive outage with our hosting service, resulting in some significant downtime and LOTS of instability with our site and some of our apps. When we attempted to restore from our backups, we found that they had been corrupted as well.

Thankfully, we have been able to restore our sites and recover MOST of our database backups. Our next step is a significant review of all of our apps to catch up on bug fixes and restore any continuing issues.

We’d like to thank our many supporters who have reached out to us during this time. We are thrilled to see so much love for our Armada and Legion apps and we will continue to support them as long as you continue to find them useful. Expect updates to restore functionality for our apps in the coming weeks!

]]> After a serious technical delay, the iOS list builder apps for Star Wars Legion and Armada are now available on the iOS App Store! These long-awaited updates feature all the newly released and previewed cards, models, and expansion packs as well as a myriad of fixes, including: 

  • Edit list details when tapping on description in list
  • Add unit to your list automatically by selecting an upgrade for that unit (sorry it took so long to finally add this!)
  • Full dark mode support
  • List building logic for Skirmish/Task Force battles

]]> About a year and a half ago, I wrote a rather nasty post on my personal blog about an assisted vision device company called eSight and the ridiculous price of their vision-enhancing eyewear. I was angry that it cost so much money to give my father back his ability to see. So angry, in fact, that I set out to build a cheap, open-source alternative of my own.

I built this app to work with an inexpensive Google Cardboard headset to digitally enhance the sight of people who are visually impaired using augmented reality. The latest headsets that provide vision-enhancement cost between $3,000 to $10,000 USD. Using this app, along with a headset and remote, anyone can achieve the exact same sight-enhancing features of premium headsets for less than $300. The app will allow users to adjust brightness, contrast, saturation, and zoom from the iPhone/iPods camera using the watch/remote as a control. It supports any iCade Bluetooth remote and has companion apps for the Apple Watch and Pebble Watch.
