Jewel U- Photography Education is a resource for photographers looking to improve their business. We teach everything from newborn portraiture, lighting and posing to business systems, marketing and in-person sales using ProSelect. What we’ve offered hasn’t changed at all, just the way we’re presenting it to you!

In the “Shop” section, you’ll find all the Business Tools we offer for sale. Under “Mentoring,” you’ll find information on how to hook up with Julia either one-on-one online, or in small group workshops. “Workshops” will list any upcoming multi-day workshops on ProSelect or newborn portraiture. “Raves” has testimonials from folks who have kind words to say! Hopefully this new site is easier for you to navigate and find what you are looking for. In the future, we plan to post more tips and tricks, tutorials and videos on how to make ProSelect work for you, and how to implement effective strategies in your photography business. Julia Kelleher, Cr. Photog., CPP and Jenny Mason, CPP are sisters from the West Coast who specialize in newborn portraits, specifically focusing on relationship portraiture and capturing the tenderness of the unconditional love of a new child. This workshop is a small, hands-on group learning environment-alternating between Julia’s retail studio in Bend, OR and Jenny’s retail studio in Orange County, CA (coming Sept. 2012). You will learn posing skills, leaving with an arsenal of new looks to try with your newborn families, and images for your growing portfolio. Hours and hours of design work, strategic thinking, business planning and client testing has gone into this guide! We use it everyday in the Jewel Images Portrait Design studio and have found the flexibility in this pricing structure allows clients to purchase what they want, but also gets the business to its bottom line.

The pricing is structured as a “Create Your Own” collection. The client simply has to follow the three steps to create their own portrait collection. It’s a fantastic solution to traditional packages because the client can choose from any number of products from wall art, digital files and albums to gift prints and boutique items— only purchasing what they want and need when they follow the three steps:

1. Choose Two:  Wall Art, Digital Files and Albums
2. Choose Three or More Gift Prints : 8 x 10 or smaller
3. Choose Boutique Items (optional step)

Included in this guide is complete text, product descriptions, prices and layout. The prices have been determined against our studio’s cost of goods, so you will need to check to make sure these prices work with your own COGS and market structure.
