How to Unleash Your Superhuman Mind Powers

Many people wrote to me and thanked me for it. They said it was inspiring and motivating.

I’m glad! That’s the whole purpose of this blog! To get you — and me — thinking of accomplishing the impossible.

Please stay tuned, I have many more interesting articles and tidbits of information coming in the weeks and months ahead.

Anyway …you may recall that I also posted a follow-up video about a totally blind painter from Turkey named Esref Armagan.

In case you missed the video showcasing his amazing powers, go here.

In addition to all of the positive feedback about the Amazing Mind Powers article, I also received a lot of questions about another one of the “stars” of that article…

…”Wim Hof” (pronounced “Vim” Hof) — the ICE MAN.

To briefly summarize…..

The ICE MAN has the ability to withstand extreme cold temperatures — temperatures which would incapacitate or even kill most people.

He’s able to control his internal body temperature using merely his “thoughts”.

But that’s not all…

The ICE MAN has the extraordinary power to heal his body.

During a barefoot run in the Arctic Circle (which you’ll soon see), he suffered severely frostbitten toes. The doctor told him they would have to amputate.

He didn’t like that option (in fact, he didn’t even take the advice seriously).

The ICE MAN simply *willed* his dead frozen toes back to life.

AMAZING!!

Check out the video and then please read my 3 Lessons to Learn below…

============================
3 Lessons to Learn from the ICE MAN
============================

As you watched the video, I hope you noticed the following 3 REVEALING things about the ICE MAN…

LESSON #1- Attitude is Everything

The ICE MAN has a great attitude! At around 7 minutes into the video you see him and his doctor discussing the possibility of severe damage to his toes caused by the extreme cold temperatures.

She asks him if he wants to continue. He says “Yes” in the most confident and nonchalant way.

=> Clearly, your attitude is one of the most critical factors in your success of failure.

In my opinion — when it comes to getting results, it’s important to realize that attitude is everything!

This applies to ANY of your goals, whether it’s physical, mental, educational, financial, or spiritual.

The way you look at the world affects how you feel, your health, your relationships and every other aspect of your day-to-day existence.

“Our attitude toward life determines life’s attitude towards us.”
~ John N. Mitchell

If you see the world as a friendly place, it will be. If you view the world as hostile, guess what? It will certainly be an unfriendly and malevolent place for you.

Your attitude is also a powerful unseen force which has a profound effect on others.

A positive attitude invites and attracts good luck and makes life an interesting game and a thrilling adventure.

And attitude counts far more, to help us succeed, than ability or talent, or even brilliance or genius.

And YOU control your attitude by your thoughts!

Take it from the ICE MAN – it’s absolutely essential to maintain a positive mental attitude at every opportunity.

LESSON #2 – Meditation & Visualization are Critical to Success

Although you don’t see too much of it on this video clip, the ICE MAN uses meditation and visualization as a way to harness his extraordinary mental powers.

If you’re not meditating or visualizing on a regular basis — then you aren’t doing all you can to succeed in life …period.

One of the most effective ways to re-program your subconscious mind is by meditating and visualizing on a consistent basis, preferably daily.

If you’ve been a student of self improvement for as long as I have, then you already know how important meditation and visualization are for:

* reducing stress,
* promoting health,
* creating abundance
* achieving higher states of consciousness
* producing optimal thoughts,
* and more…

And since the brain is the tool you use to create thought, you must learn how to harness and re-direct your brain’s incredible powers.

You must be able to shift your state of mind into optimal patterns of thinking and consciousness.

It is in these optimal mind states where magic and miracles can happen.

“The subconscious mind is the universal mind — the God mind — where all power dwells and where all things are possible.”
~ Frank Tibolt

Do you know a lot about positive thinking, the law of attraction, hypnosis, goal-setting, affirmations and other self-improvement aids?

Are things still not working out the way you want them to?

Then perhaps you need to unleash your INNER GREATNESS by sticking to a plan of regular meditation and visualization.

LESSON #3 – View Problems & Challenges as Your “Friends”

At the end of the video, the ICE MAN refers to the cold has his friend. He states ..

“The cold is my friend. Why wouldn’t I go back to my friend? I will always go back to my friend.”

I am convinced…

The only way to defeat problems and overcome challenges is to make them your friends.

Welcome all of your difficult problems. That cuts their size in half.

Nature’s purpose for throwing challenges and obstacles in your way is not to torment you, but to force you to grow.

Growth demands that you do something harder than you ever did before.

Tough problems build tough people; easy problems, soft people.

If you want to succeed …learn to see your problems and challenges as allies and opportunities instead of enemies.

”Every adversity, every failure, every heartache, carries with it the seed of an equal or greater benefit.” ~Napoleon Hill

I just recently read somewhere that when you learn to love something — even if it’s something you’ve never liked in the past — it’s burden and effect on you dissipates …oftentimes almost instantly.

It’s obvious that the Ice Man can easily deal with the cold because he has learned to love and appreciate it.

I challenge you to befriend your obstacles and challenges. Doing so may add a whole new positive dimension to your life.

You may even surprise yourself…

It’s All in Your Mind

As we have seen from these and other amazing people with extraordinary mind powers — your true source of power is in your own mind — with your thoughts.

Many people feel that the answers to their problems will come from having more money, a better economy, a new government or something else outside of themselves.

Not true…

Your mind and your thinking has EVERYTHING to do with how your life ultimately turns out.

The thoughts you are having right now are the seeds you are planting for the future. So be careful.

Learn to control your thoughts and you will undoubtedly have control of your life.

—-

If you’re looking for a way to supercharge your meditation and visualization sessions, then you’ll appreciate what we’ve done for you with our …

Introduction

What do John F. Kennedy, Ronald Reagan, and Barak Obama all have in common?

Besides the obvious (the first two are former Presidents while Obama will become President on January 20th) — all three of these individuals were/are …outstanding speakers.

Love them or hate them …you can’t deny the fact that their ability to speak and articulate ideas had a HUGE impact on their success.

Show me a highly successful person — and I’ll show you a person who has the ability to speak well and arouse passion and purpose in others.

Today’s article is an excerpt from another one of Frank Tibolt’s books called: The Art of Persuasion: How to Influence Others and Control Your Destiny.

[Frank Tibolt is also the author of the self-help classic, A Touch of Greatness. ]

—

The Hidden Ingredient in All Success
by Frank Tibolt

The three great industrial Henrys — Henry Ford, Henry Kaiser and Henry Doherty — all stated in slightly different words:

“I can hire employees to do anything except one thing: TO DO THINGS IN THE ORDER OF THEIR IMPORTANCE”.

Let’s learn from these three giants and KEEP FIRST THINGS FIRST. And what comes FIRST in mastering conversation?

The first requirement for mastering ANY skill, whether Golf, French, Typing or Conversation is a BURNING DESIRE to master it.

Without this intense desire, you’ll quit at the first obstacle — particularly if it doesn’t come easily.

Right now you’re ambitious. But unless you keep a fire under that ambition, it will go out.

To keep that fire burning, you need the HIDDEN INGREDIENT.

That hidden ingredient in mastering ANYTHING, is SELF MOTIVATION.

Self motivation, is an integral, inseparable part of ability, not some outside aid. Without SELF motivation, ability is not complete. It’s only potential.

The only true, lasting motivation is SELF motivation.

Real talent is always IMPELLED, self-propelled from the inside. Mere outside motivation never lasts. It ends as soon as the outside force ends. So our task is to supply this inside motivation.

There are several ways.

The easiest and quickest way is to read biography — stories of how others licked their obstacles and won.

Another way is to keep in mind the REASONS you want to master a subject. This is the method Dr. Butler used to motivate Eleanor Roosevelt.

He spent more time in motivation than in all his other instructions combined. He gave her 44 reasons for keeping up her interest.

I’m going to follow Dr. Butler’s example, and give you a number of reasons to motivate you. Some will be in the form of examples, others, precepts or explanations.

Joseph Kennedy, father of the former president, used to award prizes to his children at the dinner table for the most interesting conversation.

He claimed training in conversation is the only logical training for public speaking, conference speaking, selling, or any other kind of talking.

He stated this training in conversation did more than their 4 years of college for making one of his sons President, one Attorney General, another Senator and 8 of his nine children popular and powerful public speakers.

He probably learned this technique from William Gladstone whose father also used his dining room for training his children in speaking.

Gladstone once stated to a graduating class that his three college degrees were mere “beginning training”.

His “finishing training” was training in speaking.

He stated this training in speaking did more than his three degrees for enabling him to become elected four times as Prime Minister and for earning the affectionate title of: ENGLAND’S GRAND OLD MAN.

When Eleanor Roosevelt was voted one of the world’s most admired women, she stated:

“It shocks me beyond belief that schools and colleges devote months and years teaching foreign languages and a dozen other skills that few people ever use in later life, and completely neglect Everyday Conversation, the skill that everybody uses every day of his or her life. And it’s the skill that does more for us in getting along with people and making something of ourselves than any half dozen other skills.”

Dorothy Dix, famous marriage counselor, was asked what one thing she considered the surest test of fitness for a happy marriage between two people. Her answer,

“Will you enjoy each other’s conversation for a lifetime?”

At another time Dorothy Dix wrote:

“Similarity of interests is a stronger cementer of friends and marriage partners than the marriage vow or even children. Much of what is called incompatibility is merely lack of similar interests. Most marriages that break up, do so, not because the partners changed, which is usually charged, but because they were not compatible to start with. When getting acquainted they were so engrossed in physical love, they couldn’t think straight and were too impatient to take the time to really understand each other’s DEEP, ABIDING interests, the subject of all their future conversations.”

Marjorie Wilson, the charm authority stated something similar to Eleanor Roosevelt:

“I’ve never been able to understand just why we are willing to prepare ourselves for every activity of living except every day conversation. We learn foreign languages, most of which we’ll never use, to dance, play cards and a dozen other skills we never use, but the one skill that means more to us than all the others combined, we leave to chance. Anything left to chance gets chance results.”

Bruce Barton wrote:

“I have in my library about a thousand books on biography. More of these men talked themselves to the top, than all the thinkers, writers and scientists combined. Good talkers always have won. They always will. The smart thing is to join them”.

Dr. Nicholas Murray Butler stated: The two chief functions of education are to teach people to think, and to become effective conversationalists.

Newton Baker, former Secretary of War said:

“The dining room and it’s conversation go a long way in shaping future America”.

The employment manager of the huge Budd Company in Philadelphia depends more on conversation than on routine tests to decide on certain types of employees.

After the applicant has filled out his application form, he calls him into his office for a friendly chat. He greets him affably, asks him casually about the ball game or the weather.

While the applicant is expecting to hear some questions listed on his application, he is suddenly dismissed.

He states most job skills can be learned in a few months. But it takes years to develop the right personality, of which 75% is conversation.

In the few minutes, he has revealed his poise, his manners; his interests, — whether he’s friendly, alert and can handle himself with others.

Many budding executives have flunked the conversation test on the golf links.

Montaigne once stated:

“Whenever you talk, your mind comes out and parades before your listener”.

And Bruce Barton wrote:

“Your conversation is your trademark. Every time you talk, you open your mind for people to look in.”

The lack of a little more skill in conversation has separated many job seekers from the job they were after.

Shakespeare wrote:

“Mend your speech a little, lest it mar your fortune.”

Thousands have ordinary jobs because their conversations are ordinary.

Even in such jobs as accounting, engineering, architecture and other jobs not dealing directly with people, conversation is usually a big factor in both getting the job and advancing in it.

R. L. Stevenson stated:

“There can be no fairer ambition than to excel in conversation. It helps us to know our fellowmen AND OURSELVES. The first duty and first pleasure is talking. It costs nothing. All is profit. It completes our education, nourishes our friendship and is enjoyed for life.”

Stop and think.

Isn’t it your conversation that has brought you most of the things you prize most — friends, jobs, money, contacts, confidence?

If you’d lose your conversation you’d be more helpless than if you lost an arm or leg.

Human society thrives on speech, more than on any other skill.

Conversation is a LUCK MAGNET

I once wrote an article on the subject of LUCK.

Later, when I reread the article I thought to myself: Is this an article on luck or on conversation?

The subject of conversation appeared in the article almost as often as the subject of luck.

You’ve doubtless heard a number of definitions and formulas for becoming lucky.

The most frequently quoted, and probably the most respected one reads: WHEN PREPARATION MEETS OPPORTUNITY, THAT’S LUCK.

More often than we realize, Conversation is the bridge that connects PREPARATION and OPPORTUNITY.

And without that bridge, there’d be no luck.

Because conversation is so indirect, and so taken for granted, it seldom gets the credit it deserves as the necessary ingredient in luck, success and fortune.

The ability to speak well and communicate is truly The Hidden Ingredient in All Success.

Christmas always reminds me of what I believe is one of the most powerful life-changing stories of all time…

…Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol (which incidentally was published exactly 165 years ago today, December 19th, 1843).

As you probably know, A Christmas Carol is the story of a wealthy and bitter, old miser named Ebenezer Scrooge.

If you recall the story, Mr Scrooge holds everything other than money in contempt, including love, friendship and the Christmas season itself.

He’s just a ‘cranky and nasty old codger‘, as they say.

But all is not lost because Mr. Scrooge undergoes a profound, life-altering experience over the course of one night (and I highlight one night here because it’s very important as you’ll soon see).

Ebenezer Scrooge’s entire life is literally transformed for the better in an instant because of his encounter with three spirits: The Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come.

While each of the three Ghosts play a vital role in Mr. Scrooge’s transformation, it is The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come who has the most impact.

This last spirit frightens Scrooge more than the others, and shows him a vision of a future Christmas in which a rich miser, whose death saddens nobody and whose home and corpse have been robbed by ghouls.

“Ghost of the Future,” exclaimed Scrooge, “I fear you more than any specter I have seen. But as I know your purpose is to do me good, and as I hope to live to be another man from what I was, I am prepared to bear you company, and do it with a thankful heart. Will you not speak to me?” ~ A Christmas Carol, Charles Dickens

When the Ghost reveals that this is the fate that awaits Scrooge himself, Ebenezer weeps profusely and swears to change himself for the better and ultimately does.

Mr Scrooge goes on to gain a reputation as a kind and generous man who embodies the spirit of Christmas; love, peace and goodwill to all.

What a wonderful story of redemption, wouldn’t you say?

“Christmas gift suggestions: To your enemy, forgiveness. To an opponent, tolerance. To a friend, your heart. To a customer, service. To all, charity. To every child, a good example. To yourself, respect.” ~ Oren Arnold

Self-Help Lesson and Technique

In addition to all of the wonderful insights and sentiments about the Christmas holiday, Charles Dickens’ classic story also encompasses a very important lesson and related technique that we can all use to change our lives for the better.

Let’s take a quick look at what they are shall we?

Important Lesson:

Change can (and often does) happen in an instant

Ebenezer’s life — especially his thoughts — changed in the course of one night.

…And so can yours (it’s no secret that if you want to change your circumstances, you must first change your thinking).

When a person undergoes a positive change in his or her life, there is usually a specific turning point which marks the transition from an old way of thinking to a new one.

In an article I wrote a couple of months ago, I called this instant of change The Tipping Point.

What exactly is the tipping point?

“It’s when a person acquires the impetus for sudden change. It’s the point where possibility begins to turn into reality.”

And this sudden change is usually brought about by a dramatic or emotional event (which, by the way, you can “trick” your mind into experiencing as you’ll soon discover).

Author Frank Tibolt explained it like this:

“The most valuable thing that can come into anyone’s life is that book, that proverb, that experience, that person, that emergency or incident that introduces a man to his or her inner unknown powers.”

For Ebenezer Scrooge, the vision of seeing the misery and loneliness of his future life was enough to change him literally overnight.

We can all do the same thing.

Each of us can summon the power of The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come.

How?

=> By meeting your future self just like Ebenezer Scrooge did.

Meet Your Future Self

Charles Dickens’ story describes a very powerful NLP (Neuro-linguistic programming) technique known as Future Pacing.

It involves looking at your future life in two ways:

By the consequences of your present actions and;

From the vantage point of how you would like your life to be.

Personally, I like to focus on meeting my future self from the perspective of how I would like my life to be instead of the opposite — but I suggest you try Part 1 at least once and then briefly think about it on occasion.

Here’s how it works…

Part 1 (this should be done infrequently)

=> Imagine yourself at a future point in time looking back over your life having NOT achieved your goals.

=> Experience the PAIN of loss and regret just like Mr. Scrooge did.

=> Use these feelings and the visuals that go along with them to drive yourself towards accomplishing your goals.

“The secret of success is learning how to use pain and pleasure instead of having pain and pleasure use you. If you do that, you’re in control of your life. If you don’t, life controls you.”
~ Tony Robbins

Part 2 (I like to do this part every day).

=> Imagine your life exactly the way you’d like it to be. This can be accomplished through visualization or meditation.

=> Fast forward to the future. Pick a future point in your life where things are exactly the way you’d like them to be. This could be tonight, tomorrow, next week, next month or next year. The future time period is entirely up to you.

=> Have a meeting. Imagine having a meeting with your future self.

=> Take notice of your future self. Notice how your future self looks (happy, fit, strong, wealthy, etc.) Imagine your future self being totally confident and thrilled to meet you.

=> Ask your future self for advice. Ask your future self what you need to do today to start heading in the right direction. If it’s money that you seek, ask your future self to give you the ideas or steps necessary to acquire it. If you’re looking for the perfect mate, see this person seated next to your future self and ask what steps you need to take to meet him or her.

=> Listen for clues. Oftentimes ideas will start popping into your head from your subconscious mind. Be alert to any and all possibilities.

=> Act fast. Be sure to implement the ideas that have merit. These ideas could potentially change your entire life around.

Meeting your future self is important because it helps you to change your self-image. If you can change your self-image, you can change your world.

“Our self image, strongly held, essentially determines what we become.” ~ Maxwell Maltz

Your Self Image: Friend or Foe?

One of the most important discoveries of the last 100 years is the discovery of the self-image.

Whether we realize it or not, each of us carries around a mental picture of ourselves. Most of us aren’t even aware of it.

But rest assured, the self-image plays a huge role in our success or failure in life.

All of your actions, feelings, behaviors — even your financial situation — is goverened by your self-image.

For example, the only reason why you don’t have the income you really desire is because deep, down inside you don’t see yourself as someone who earns that kind of money.

You are literally programmed to earn a certain amount of money; nothing more, nothing less.

You may have a goal to earn a few million dollars a year, but your self image is preventing you from achieving it.

Interestingly, you may come up with several million dollar ideas every single week (you’d be surprised how many people do).

Unfortunately, your self image may be depositing negative thoughts into your mind such as…

“I’m not smart enough to do that…”

“I’ve never generated that kind of money before and probably never will…”

“I haven’t struggled enough or put in my dues yet…”

“I don’t have the resources to do that.”

“I’m too busy..”

“I don’t have the time…”

…and a million other self-talk statements that have the power to stop you dead in your tracks.

And…you probably don’t even know you’re having these thoughts!!

Donald Trump is worth a few billion because his self-image is set to earning a few hundred million dollars each year.

What’s your self-image income level set to?

In essence, your self image causes you to act like the person you think you are instead of the person you could become.

This is why it is so important to meet your positive future self as often as possible.

By meeting your future self on a regular basis, you will provide yourself with the visuals and programming necessary to overcome limited thinking.

And as in Ebenezer Scrooge’s case, you may even begin to see changes immediately.

So have fun and meet your future self!

If you want your life to stay the same, keep thinking what you’re thinking and keep doing what you’re doing.

If you want your life to change, have a meeting with your future self today.

Yesterday I posted an article called…

How to Unleash Your Superhuman Mind Powers

I talked about a blind man from Turkey who paints amazing scenery with his fingers.

His name is Esref Armagan. He was born without eyes and has never seen colors or scenery in his entire life.

I found a video clip of the Discovery Channel program highlighting his incredible powers..

Check it out. The video clip shows him drawing some of his amazing paintings:

—

The moral of the story is…

We are ALL born with amazing gifts. Most people ignore them, while some people are forced to develop them.

Imagine what you could do or accomplish if your life depended on it?

Most people don’t go very far in life because they lack INTENSITY; the will and the drive to develop the amazing powers that they were born with.

I talk about this in my Wealth Attraction Report and CD (which, by the way is not all about the law of attraction or making money).

There are several concepts and stories which will get you thinking about your life.

Thinking creates ideas.

Ideas are the stepping stones to success — personally or financially.

Last night I stayed up until 1 o’clock in the morning absolutely riveted to my TV set.

I’m happy to say that I was NOT watching the news (I actually gave up on that a long time ago).

I was watching a show on the Science/Discovery Channel about four REAL people who have extraordinary mental powers.

A real Fantastic Four, if you will.

There was a guy from the Netherlands who was called the ICE MAN. He has the ability to withstand extreme cold temperatures.

I don’t know how he does it (and neither do the scientists), but he’s able to warm his body temperature just with his thoughts (I’ve read that there are some Yogis that can do this as well).

He once sat buried up to his neck in a pool of ice for over an hour!

Last night they showed him running a half marathon in frigid temperatures (up in the Arctic Circle) — with nothing on except a pair of shorts!!!

He was completely topless and barefoot in minus -30C temperatures!!

After the race the doctor told him they would have to amputate his toes because they were frozen dead.

No problem for the ICE MAN…

He simply *willed* his toes back to life with his mind!

The doctor was shocked.

Amazing….!!

“The mind is its own place, and in itself, can make heaven of Hell, and a hell of Heaven.” ~ John Milton

Then, there was the HUMAN CALCULATOR; a guy from Germany who can solve complex (and I mean VERY COMPLEX) formulas inside his head.

And he can do it faster than someone using a calculator!!!

The guy can also speak backwards; not only single words but entire sentences.

Wow!!

Now, this next person blew me away…

THE BLIND PAINTER

Yes…a blind man from Anchorage, Turkey who paints beautiful scenic paintings with his fingers. His creations are wonderful pieces of art.

Here’s one of his paintings…

Incredible isn’t it?

What’s even more amazing is that this man was born without eyes!

He’s never seen a color or scene in his entire life (at least not with his physical eyes).

He “sees” more with his fingers than some people do with their eyes.

And finally there was a woman from Switzerland known as the The Synaesthete.

Synaesthesia is an extremely rare neurological condition which is characterized by a “fusing” of the senses.

This woman was able to see and taste music!

According to her, each musical note has a specific color and pattern. And certain musical notes actually produce flavors on her tongue!

For example, a minor sixth has a creamy texture, while a perfect fourth tastes like mowed grass!

Incredible…

She also doesn’t like going to discos because the loud bass sounds give off these big black square boxes which annoy her.

Her memory is like a steel trap too; she can remember complex musical scores and whole lists of names just by reading it once.

I find all of this extremely fascinating.

And the reason I bring it up is because there is absolutely no limit to the human mind.

Anyone who believes otherwise is just fooling themselves.

The great American psychologist William James put it this way…

“Compared to what we should be, we are only half alive. We are making use of only a small part of our mind power. Deep down inside of us are vast powers we know nothing of and never use.”

I recently read somewhere that before the Industrial Revolution, people were more “in tune” with their natural mind powers.

Although technological progress has contributed immensely to making our lives easier, I believe that its also had a somewhat negative effect on our natural ability to heal, reduce stress and think creatively.

We are ALL blessed with awesome mental capabilities.

Right now, your mind has the power to answer and solve any of your problems, dilemmas and personal challenges.

ALL of them …

You have the power to create your perfect life; you can have the ideal business, job, friends, mate and home.

You are not limited in any way by your environment, your background, your intelligence or even by lack of money.

If you learn how to tap the vast potential of your mind, infinite resources are at your command.

Unfortunately, many people don’t realize the awesome powers they possess — or if they do, they don’t exercise them properly or as often as they should.

“Man’s power to think is infinite, consequently his creative power is unlimited.” ~ Charles Haanel

While its true that some individuals — like the four people I mentioned earlier — seem to have been born with incredible mental gifts, it doesn’t mean that you don’t have the capacity for some pretty amazing mental powers yourself.

We all do.

Here are three ways to develop and hone your mind powers..

======================================
3 Ways to Unleash Your Superhuman Mind Powers
======================================
=> 1) BELIEVE

The first key to unleashing your mind power is to simply claim it.

Many people don’t believe they possess extraordinary mind powers and as a result, they inadvertently keep them dormant.

Belief in yourself and your capabilities is the most important factor in harnessing your incredible mental gifts.

“Magic is believing in yourself. If you can do that, you can make anything happen.” ~ Foka Gomez

You don’t believe you have mental powers?

Try this challenge for a week…

Before you begin each day, simply create it in your mind first.

Think of your day exactly the way you would like it to be. Write a list of things you would like to see happen in a journal or notebook for each day.

For example, if you have an upcoming meeting, see it first in your minds eye exactly how you want it to go.

Carry these thoughts and pictures with you as you go about your day. Try not to negate them with negative or fearful thinking.

Eventually, you will begin to see a pattern emerge; a pattern which you had a hand in creating!

At the end of the week, you will be amazed at how really powerful you are in creating your own reality. Many of the things you wrote in your journal will have transpired.

“Every person is the creation of himself, the image of his own thinking and believing. As individuals think and believe, so they are.” ~ Claude M. Bristol

=> 2) BE FOCUSED

Many people say they understand mental principles like the law of attraction and positive thinking, but one day they’re thinking about one thing, the next day about something else and a week later, they’re involved with something completely different.

Is it any wonder why people don’t get the results they want?

People who exhibit strong mental powers have an uncanny ability to CONCENTRATE.

They’re not scattered or indecisive like most people.

If they have a goal, it’s usually sharp, clear-cut and definite.

For example, if they need a certain amount of money, they’re focused on the actual amount and specific steps required to acquire it.

Concentration is crucial to harnessing your mental powers …and getting the RESULTS you seek.

“Ninety percent of my game is mental. It’s my concentration that has gotten me this far.” ~ Chris Evert

How does one go about developing concentration?

By waking up more of your idle brain cells.

“Most of our high-talent brain cells never wake up of their own accord, but remain sleeping slackers and go with us to our graves, unless some emotional experiences wakes them up …develops them. The most valuable thing that can come into anyone’s life is that book, that proverb, that experience, that person, that emergency or incident that introduces a man or woman to his or her inner unknown powers.” ~ Frank Tibolt, author of A Touch of Greatness.

One excellent way to develop concentration is by writing.

In fact, writing forces us to think. It has ten times the power to force us to concentrate and think accurately, exactly, and meaningfully as mere talking or silent pondering.

Forcing yourself to write harnesses a group of brain cells to produce thoughts.

If you have a challenging problem or situation, write about it and try to figure it out. You’ll be amazed at what you can accomplish by focusing your thoughts as you write.

But by far the best way to develop concentration and your mind powers is by meditating…

=> 3) Meditate

One thing I found interesting about the ICE MAN was that he meditated a lot.

Whenever he needed to warm up his body temperature, he became engrossed in thought.

By focusing and concentrating on positive thoughts, he was also able to revitalize his dead frozen toes, as I mentioned.

Meditation is a powerful tool for developing your mental powers.

Why?

Because meditation creates a gateway to your subconscious mind.

As any psychologist or personal development expert will tell you…”All personal changes must take place at the subconscious level.”

“It is in the Silence that you get into touch with the Omnipotent power of the subconscious mind from which all power is evolved.”
~ Charles Haanel

In order to unlock your full human potential – the greatness within you – you must learn how to harness and re-direct your brain’s incredible powers.

You must be able to shift your state of mind into optimal patterns of thinking and consciousness.

It is in these optimal mind states where magic and miracles can happen.

Only through meditation and contemplation can your reach this place of unlimited mind power.

** If you’re looking for a fast, easy and highly effective way to meditate, take a look at these inexpensive Mind Power SoundScapes. Thousands of people consider them a SECRET WEAPON for experiencing deep relaxation, reducing stress (especially around the Holidays) and for getting results.

Our minds are not only our greatest assets, but they’re our greatest liabilities as well.

Each of us is born with a vast potential for achievement. We truly do have unfathomable mind powers at our disposal.

How we choose to use and develop our minds, is the one of the biggest factors for our success or failure.

We have the choice to accept life as it happens to us, or we can use our superhuman mind powers to mold and shape it to the way we want it to be.

—

Here’s an excerpt of something I read last night…

“If we can believe the financial forecasters, we are headed into stormy seas and more inflation …probably a depression of great magnitude. War seems imminent in the Middle East, either with Iran or in Afghanistan. Americans are seething with anger and nobody can blame them. The whole world seems to have gone crazy. We’re in a very tight spot this election year and I see no bright spot on the horizon.”

Does this sound familiar?

I bet it does. Turn on any evening news channel and I’m sure you’ll hear something very similar.

The irony is that the excerpt I just quoted to you was written back in January of 1980 by the late author and publisher Jerry Buchanan.

It was written 28 years ago!!!

The article was called: “What Might the 80′s Hold in Store?”

Well …the 1980′s saw one of the greatest periods of economic expansion ever recorded. But that’s not the point.

The point is everything in the universe is subject to the law of cycles and money is no exception.

The fact is, since 1939 the U.S. has gone through six periods of financial malaise; and I’m certain that in each period, you can find at least one news article referring to it as the next Great Depression.

The good news is that…”this too shall pass” as many of us who are old enough have already experienced.

Believe me, I’ve seen this movie before …and the great thing is YOU get to write the ending as I’ll explain in a minute!

But let’s first talk about this amazing phenomenon called the law of cycles.

The Law of Cycles: What is it?

There is a natural, rhythmic order of things.

Everything you can see, hear or touch, everything you can sense is subject to the natural law of cycles.

If you observe closely, you’ll notice that many events tend to recur in cycles at regular intervals; the four seasons, the rise and fall of the tides, optimum agricultural plantings, animal populations, and yes — even economic activity.

If you carefully observe your own life, you’ll probably notice that you too experience natural rhythms of moods, circumstances and energy levels.

Despite your best efforts and intentions, it may seem that no matter what you do, you seem to be swimming against strong, impeding currents.

In a recent article, The Secret to Money is Having Some, I discussed the fact that the flow of money is governed by physical and natural laws.

The fact is, the entire universe is subject to the law of cycles and money is no exception.

But since money is merely a shadow of the value we place in goods and services, there’s really no change in its flow.

Instead, there’s only a natural shift in the opportunities required to create it.

“Resources are unlimited because our minds are unlimited.” ~ Paul Zane Pilzer

Look at it this way….

Let’s assume that the oceans represent opportunity and the rise and fall of the tides represent economic cycles.

When the tide goes out, it doesn’t mean the water has disappeared; it just means that it has shifted to another location.

This may sound like a simplistic explanation, but this is essentially what happens to opportunity during an economic downturn.

You can either sit on the shoreline and wait for opportunity to return, or you can be proactive and go find the opportunity!

Sadly, many people are like human lobsters who get stranded on the rocks during a low tide:

“A lobster, when left high and dry among the rocks, does not have the sense enough to work his way back to the sea, but waits for the sea to come to him.

If it does not come, he remains where he is and dies, although the slightest effort would enable him to reach the waves, which are perhaps within a yard of him.

The world is full of human lobsters; people stranded on the rocks of indecision and procrastination, who, instead of putting forth their own energies, are waiting for some grand billow of good fortune to set them afloat.” ~ Orison Swett Marden

If you want a constant flow of money in your life, you need to focus on two things:

1) You must properly structure your financial life so no matter which phase of a cycle you’re in, money continues to flow, and…

2) You need to be aware of and act on any new opportunities presented to you.

Don’t be a human lobster!

Despite the bad news and realities about the economy, some people are still making a lot of money.

There’s no reason why you can’t be one of them.

There are two kinds of people in this world…

Those that take advantage of circumstances and those that are controlled by them.

Which one of these two people do you want to be?

The bottom line is: You can decide who you want to be right now.

=> You may not have a choice about many of the things that go on in the world – like wars, calamities and economic recessions — but you DO have a choice — a BIG CHOICE — in how you think and react to those situations.

And even better than that …

You have a choice in how this economic recession will affect you

You can either stay glued to the TV set and listen to every piece of negative economic news there is (and believe me, you’ll find PLENTY), or you can start taking control of your own financial destiny.

Please don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying that times are not financially challenging. They most certainly are.

But what I am saying is that you can write your future; you can write your own ending to this economic movie.

You can decide to become part of the solution, or you can sit back and allow things to get worse.

It’s all a matter of perspective and BELIEF.

If you believe that other people and outside circumstances control your life, then your financial affairs will reflect those beliefs.

On the other hand, if you believe that you have the power to control your own circumstances, then you will AUTOMATICALLY open yourself up to greater possibilities for wealth and financial stability.

Do you think this is some out-of-touch philosophy?

Let me put it in practical terms….

Challenging financial times are almost always exacerbated by FEAR.

FEAR is the engine that drives all economic slumps, recessions and downturns. Monetary factors may ignite them, but only FEAR can give them strength.

Fear is the enemy — the grave enemy of wealth.

Most people are SCARED. They’re cutting back, putting their plans on hold and waiting to see what happens.

In the meantime, these fearful behaviors become part of a collective self-fulfilling prophesy.

Before you know it, the economy-at-large is trapped in a vicious cycle of economic malaise.

And for many people — especially those who allow themselves to be controlled by circumstances — things will indeed get worse.

On the other hand, there’s a small minority who believe that, although they can’t control everything, they can control much. And control much they do.

They’re not sitting around waiting for things to get better….they’re making things better for themselves and their families right now.

They’re going towards opportunity instead of waiting for it to return!

And these are the same people who will help get this economy back on track. They’ll not only help themselves, but they’ll also help everybody else.

These are the same people who will be poised for financial greatness, when this particular cycle is over.

Do yourself a BIG favor and become one of them!

=> The law of cycles is a given. But what isn’t a given is how you’ll be affected by it.

Plant Money Seeds

Even though we live in a wonderfully abundant universe, the law of cycles cannot be ignored.

Opportunities to create wealth come and go just like everything else. The summer may be warm and abundant, but winter with its cold and dreariness ALWAYS comes.

If you want to stay on top, you’ve got to change with the seasons and tides.

You’ve got to remain nimble and be willing to open your mind to opportunities ….regardless of where they are.

Many people fail because they stay focused on only one income source. If that source dries up, moves away or gets reduced, they suffer the same fate as the lobster.

Don’t be a human lobster. Take action and start planting some new money seeds as soon as possible.

Despite what you may be hearing on the evening news, opportunities to create wealth and new sources of income have never been greater! These opportunities simply didn’t exist several years ago.

I wrote and recorded a powerful new program describing some of these opportunities and ways you can prosper regardless of what part of a financial cycle you’re in. It’s like Miracle-Gro for your finances.

The Law of Cycles Guarantees Two Things:

1) This current financial winter will end.

2) There will be yet another winter at some point in the future.

The great news is that you can do something positive today to come out on top despite which way the financial winds are blowing.

Remember the lobster; don’t let the law of cycles leave you stranded on the shore!

I can’t tell you how many people I know who read or hear a timeless self-help concept or principle and say…

“Nothing new here. I’ve already heard [or read] this before.”

But then when I take a close look at their lives, it obvious they’re not practicing what they know …not even close.

I actually used to BE one of these people, so I’m also referring to my own personal experience.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve read a few thousand self-help books.

My personal library, like so many other people, is loaded with just about every famous self-help and personal development classic there is. I also have a ton of good, but not-so-famous stuff.

I’ve read several of the books multiple times.

I’ve also listened to dozens of self-improvement tapes, CD’s, DVD’s and mp3′s.

The truth is, it isn’t very often that I come across something new anymore. In fact, I come across many of the same concepts and principles more often than not.

Take for example, the subjects of wealth-building and the law of attraction.

If you really examine and study the principles in these types of books, you’ll discover that, for the most part, it’s just the same information recycled and repeated in a different way.

And there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that!

Some authors just have a better and clearer way of explaining and driving home concepts than others do.

“To learn, we need information. But to succeed, we need more to be reminded than informed.” ~ Frank Tibolt

For example, when I first learned about the law of attraction, I read all the books I could find on the subject.

But it wasn’t until I read A Happy Pocket Full of Money by David Cameron that I finally understood — I mean REALLY understood — the subject well.

And after I read A Happy Pocket Full of Money, a funny thing happened. All of the other law of attraction books I had read prior to it started to make more sense to me.

Although I was reading certain concepts again for the second, third and even fourth times, I was actually just understanding them for the very first time.

That’s how powerful some authors are and it’s the exact reason why you should be an avid reader.

Don’t just read one or two books on a subject; read as many as you can!

I heard a saying once that really sticks in my mind…..

Poor people have big screen TV’s, but rich people have big libraries.

Never stop learning or investing in yourself. It doesn’t matter if you’re 18 years old or 80.

“An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest.”
~ Benjamin Franklin

But back to my main point…

When it comes to self-improvement, you’ll find that many of the same concepts we *discover* today, have actually been around for thousands of years.

We may come up with different tools and techniques to implement certain success principles, but the principles themselves have been around since the beginning of time.

There’s a reason for it….

Success Principles are Timeless Universal Truths.

And they’re simple, not complicated.

Whether a success book was written 5 months ago or 5 centuries ago, doesn’t matter; simple truth is simple truth.

The problem with simple truth is that most people brush it aside because it just seems too damn easy to work.

Sadly, many people erroneously believe that something has to be complicated and involved in order to be effective.

Let me give you a perfect example…

In my opinion, George S. Clason’s The Richest Man in Babylon is one of the best personal wealth-building books ever written. It’s loaded with simple, yet powerful money principles.

I’d pit the principles in Clason’s book up against Wall Street conventional wisdom any day.

Many people — especially millionaires — absolutely love the book.

Unfortunately, some people don’t like it at all. They claim the principles are just too simplistic and sophomoric to work.

The reality is, the principles in the book DO WORK.

And I guarantee you that anyone who claims the principles in the book are too basic to work ISN’T RICH. Or, if they are — they won’t be rich for long.

“Gold flees the man who would force it to impossible earnings or who followeth the alluring advice of tricksters and schemers or who trusts it to his own inexperience and romantic desires in investment.” ~quote from The Richest Man in Babylon

The secret to money is having some. In case you missed my article about it, GO HERE.

There’s another reason why people brush aside simple truth…

They usually don’t stick with it long enough to see results.

If one thing doesn’t quickly work out for them, they’re off to the next thing and the next thing after that.

They’re constantly in search of that magic pill, the silver bullet, or the miracle cure.

Actually, there IS a magic pill….it’s called PRACTICE.

If you’re not living and practicing a principle of value, then it’s as if you don’t know the principle at all.

“The power builder, the thing that CHANGES PEOPLE is action, practice.” ~ Frank Tibolt

In order to achieve greatness and riches in life, you must practice, practice, practice what you know — regardless of how simple the concept is.

“Faith without works is dead”, says The Bible.

In other words, whatever you know, you must LIVE. It must come alive.

Mere knowledge and skill is useless unless you are living it. In order to live it you must eat, breathe and ACT upon it!

If you’re brushing off something because you think it’s too easy to work or because you’ve already heard it before …..You might be making a BIG MISTAKE.

The Simplest Ideas Are Often the Greatest in Getting Results

Don’t automatically dismiss something because you think it’s too simple to work or because you’ve heard it before.

=> Simple truth is simple truth.

Perhaps you just need a little “staying power.”

Here’s a philosophy that separates winners from losers…

It’s okay to want to quit, but it’s NOT okay to quit.

Keep your mind open to all avenues and possibilities. Your wealth or success may come from a place or channel you least expect — and a simple one at that.

Always approach something with a Beginner’s Mind: although you may hear or read something for a second, third or fourth time, you may actually just be understanding it for the very first time.

Next time you pick up a self-help book or program, please keep the following thought in mind…

If you know something of value, but don’t LIVE IT — then you don’t really KNOW IT.

Knowing and understanding are two different things. Many people know things, but they don’t really understand them.

And living something is another thing altogether.

If you know and even understand something, but don’t LIVE it, then what good is it really?

Any fool can read simple instructions, but only a DOER can bring them to life.

Imagine what you can accomplish, imagine what great fortune awaits you if you decide to LIVE the very principles you admire and cherish?

Remember…if you don’t LIVE IT, you don’t KNOW IT.

Is there a special song inside of you?

Is there something in your heart which makes you feel so completely thrilled, happy and content, that a part of you would literally die if you couldn’t do or experience it any more?

Most people — including YOU — have such a song.

It’s called a “personal passion.”

For some, it’s music, art, photography, traveling, writing or reading.

For others, it’s jumping out of airplanes, cooking, physical fitness, caring for animals, working with tools, or helping others.

Regardless of the endeavor, each person has something they truly love do to.

For many, their personal passion also happens to be their SPECIAL GIFT.

“When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, “I used everything you gave me.” ~ Erma Bombeck

Unfortunately for most, their special gift or passion is relegated to brief moments when other more pressing matters — like work, family or chores — aren’t competing for their attention.

For many people, those brief moments are few and far between.

What is YOUR special gift or personal passion?

Would you like to do it on a consistent basis and make money from it at the same time?

If you examine you personal passion closely, chances are you may discover that you are indeed sitting on top of a goldmine.

Countless people have leveraged their personal passions and talents into a reliable and consistent income stream.

How?

By turning their passion into a business.

In my opinion, turning your personal passion into a business is one of the most rewarding and satisfying things you can do.

“A really great talent finds its happiness in execution.” ~ Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

You don’t think you can turn your personal passion into a business?

Nonsense!!!

There are numerous ways to turn your personal passion into a highly lucrative business.

If you think otherwise, you simply aren’t thinking creatively enough.

Passion Into Profit: 2 Questions to Consider

In order to turn a passion into a business, you need to ask yourself two very important questions:

1) How can I turn what I love to do into a profitable system?

The truth is there are many people who jump into business without taking the time to think about how they’re actually going to make a consistent and adequate profit.

And it’s no surprise that most of them end up failing.

For example, just because you love to cook and you do it exceptionally well, doesn’t necessarily mean your restaurant or delicatessen is going to be a smashing success.

Yet believe it or not, many people go blindly into business because they feel they can do something better than somebody else.

Obviously, in order to succeed in business, a little homework and creative thinking is involved.

“Nobody talks of entrepreneurship as survival, but that’s exactly what it is and what nurtures creative thinking.” ~ Anita Roddick

Take a look at some people who are making a ton of money doing what you love to do.

Chances are they’ve boiled down their success into a profitable system which can be replicated.

Let me put it to you another way…

Do you think McDonald’s sells the best hamburger on the planet?

Hardly…

What they really have is a profitable system which allows them to sell billions of dollars of an average product.

Stop and think…

How can you turn what you love to do into a profitable system?

Remember …it’s not important to be great; you only need to be good, but profitable.

The second question to ask yourself is…

2) How can I leverage what I know to create RECURRING INCOME?

In my opinion, recurring income is THE best income you can make …period.

Recurring income is income that continues to be generated after you’ve put in the initial effort.

Not only is it the best kind of income, but it can be made literally ‘while you’re asleep’.

Let’s say you’re a guitar teacher….

Since time is limited, there are only so many students you can teach in one week.

On the other hand, if you take the time to create a DVD of your guitar lessons, you can reach even more students in one week, and obviously make much more money.

By the way, this is exactly what Mark Sly did of Sly Mark Music .

Mark leveraged his love of music and created a instructional DVD which is sold via his website and though various online vendors.

Mark was just recently featured on Donny Deutsch’s fantastic show The Big Idea.

Also keep in mind that current technology and the Internet make it possible to reach a global audience.

The potential to profit from turning your passion into an information product is HUGE.

“You can only become truly accomplished at something you love. Don’t make money your goal. Instead, pursue the things you love doing, and then do them so well that people can’t take their eyes off you.” ~ Maya Angelou

Incidentally, the information business is a fantastic way to establish a recurring income stream.

If you want to make some serious and painless money, there is no better business to be in.

Your Challenge for the Week

What’s your passion, your burning desire, your ‘personal thing’ which consumes you, and makes you sing and dance?

I challenge you THIS WEEK to think about how you can turn your passion into profit.

It doesn’t matter who you are or what you’ve done in the past. There is no time like now.

“So let’s get a new start. Forget your past mistakes. Your greatest assets are your unexpired years.” ~ Frank Tibolt

[Incidentally, if you need help starting a business or taking an existing one to the next level, I am available for personal, one-on-one coaching. Contact me at info@mindstudio.net for more information.]

Remember, there is no greater investment than having a business of your own.

A job will give you a paycheck, but a business can make you rich.

And what better way to accomplish this than by turning your passion into profit?

Is it possible to change just a few, simple things about your thoughts and actions — and suddenly experience a MASSIVE breakthrough in your ability to attract more wealth and abundance?

The answer is a resounding …YES!

Wealthy people aren’t necessarily smarter, luckier or more talented than the average person, they’re just DOING and THINKING a few simple things which virtually guarantees their success.

“Many people have the ambition to succeed; they may even have a special aptitude for their job. And yet they do not move ahead. Why? Perhaps they think that since they can master the job, there is no need to master themselves.” ~ John Stevenson

The only difference between you and someone who has the kind of lifestyle and bank account you desire is that they are doing a few things that you aren’t.

And the beauty is ANYONE can do these things — EVEN YOU!

It’s not that you don’t “KNOW ENOUGH”; it’s that you are not “DOING ENOUGH.”

We Often Need More to be Reminded Than Informed

How many success and “how-to get rich” books have you read and studied over the course of your lifetime?

If you’re like most people, the answer is … A LOT!

Have you read Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill?

Many people claim Think and Grow Rich is the greatest self-help and “how to get rich” book of all time.

Estimates claim that over 20 million copies have been sold since it was first published in 1937.

How many of those tens of millions of readers do you think got rich from reading Hill’s book?

The cold hard truth is, most people who read Think and Grow rich do NOT get rich.

Here’s something I think you’ll also find interesting…

Did you know that towards the end of Napoleon Hill’s career, he ran out of money and was struggling financially?

Yes, it’s true.

Imagine that — the author of one of the greatest “how-to succeed and get rich” books of all time was nearly bankrupt.

Many people don’t know this fact about Napoleon Hill.

Fortunately, insurance tycoon and multi-millionaire W. Clement Stone rescued Napoleon Hill from the throes of financial peril.

W. Clement Stone hired Napoleon Hill to be a sales trainer and the two of them eventually went on to collaborate on a variety of projects including co-authoring the book Success Through a Positive Mental Attitude.

Napoleon Hill ended up a success, but not as a direct result of Think and Grow Rich.

Here’s a very important lesson….

It doesn’t matter who you are, where you’ve been, or how much you know — when it comes to wealth, it’s what you do to ATTRACT and PROTECT it that makes ALL the difference in the world.

Wise old Andrew Carnegie, multi-millionaire philanthropist, and builder of men (he created 43 millionaires) put it this way:

“You don’t need to know many things to succeed and get rich, if you know the few things that are important.”

So, what are some of the things that rich and successful people know and do that allows them to AUTOMATICALLY attract wealth?

Glad you asked…

The first and most important thing to realize is that you can’t simply think…and grow rich!

Success is No Accident

Wealthy people understand that the flow of money is governed by simple laws and principles.

It’s a philosophy that separates the “haves” from the ”have nots.”

The truth is, the rules for achieving financial independence haven’t changed since the beginning of time.

Play by the rules, and you get …and stay…rich.

Ignore them …and life is a constant struggle and strain.

The BIG SECRET in life is that wealth isn’t something you chase.

It’s something you grow into in two ways:

1) Mentally through your thoughts and ideas and…

2) Physically through your actions and performance.

“Success is something you attract by the person you become.”
~ Jim Rohn

Attracting wealth is not a random event or occurrence.

And neither is attracting poverty.

Both are simply the results you achieve from your thoughts and actions.

The truth is wealthy individuals do things profitably different. No question about it.

As a result, they just don’t survive, they thrive!

Unlike non-wealthy individuals, rich people aren’t afraid to do what it takes to succeed.

For example:

=> Wealthy people are constantly doing things which average people don’t like to do.

= > Wealthy people are focused on the rewards, unlike non-wealthy people who are instead focused on the process.

=> Rich people, spend their money buying assets, while poor folks spend what little money they have buying pleasures.

And in no time at all, these few, simple habits determine financial destinies.

“A man with money controls circumstances. Without money, they control him.” ~ Frank Tibolt

Money Itself is No Guarantee of Financial Independence

Wealthy people know that money isn’t the sole answer to achieving financial security.

Having a lot of money helps, but it’s no guarantee you’ll end up independently wealthy.

And this is a BIG distinction, most non-wealthy people fail to recognize.

Henry Ford once said:

“If money is your hope for independence you will never have it. The only real security that a man will have in this world is a reserve of knowledge, experience, and ability.”

For example, at first glance, it appears that having lots of extra money will help you become more successful and financially secure.

The fact is, nothing could be further from the truth.

As a CPA and financial counselor for over 20 years, I’ve heard it so many times before…

“If only I had more money…

...I’d be happy.

...I wouldn’t have to worry.

…I’d have peace of mind

…I’d sleep better at night.

and so on and so on.

While money may make you feel secure the moment you have it, the reality is, if you haven’t truly prepared yourself for wealth mentally and physically — your money will simply take wings and fly away.

Take a look at people who suddenly acquire a massive amount of money, either through an inheritance or by winning the lottery.

Within a short amount of time, most of them end up worse off financially than before.

Why is that?

You would think that a ton of money would solve problems.

The fact is – it doesn’t.

And it’s another BIG distinction which separates financially independent people from those who live paycheck-to-paycheck.

Here’s another wealth attraction secret…

Money doesn’t solve personal problems; it actually magnifies them.

The real key to financial independence is to develop the mindset necessary to attract and keep wealth.

Money Loves to be Respected and Managed

Recently, a few people have written to me and asked if I stopped believing in the law of attraction.

Since I’ve written a few practical articles about money, people think that I’ve given up on it.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

The law of attraction can indeed help you to attract money, but in the final analysis, its not the amount of money you attract that counts.

It’s what you’re able to keep and invest that determines how financially secure you’ll ultimately be.

Prosperity teachers do a great job of showing you how to expand your beliefs so you’ll attract money into your life, but in my opinion, they do a lousy job of telling you what to do with it once you get it.

In fact, most of them just keep telling you to attract more and more with no regards whatsoever as to how its spent.

Well, the fact of the matter is …money to be commanded, must first be obeyed.

If you’re not careful or obey the rules, you could find yourself short, despite what law of attraction gurus teach.

Here’s one of the BEST KEPT secrets of the rich:

The more you respect and manage your money, the more of it you end up having …period.

Money loves to play hard to get.

Don’t let it fool you.

It’s actually easy to attract — if you learn to play by the rules.

Learn the Simple Truths About Money…Stay Away From Anything Else

The underlying rules which govern the acquisition and investment of money haven’t significantly changed in over six thousand years.

The rules are simple and straightforward.

Why?

Because they work.

On the other hand, what has changed is the complexity of the financial investments offered.

In today’s world, we have a prevalence of people; bankers, brokers, investment advisers and others who like to needlessly complicate things.

Case in point. In the past 15 years we’ve seen a dizzying array of new financial instruments and investments which frankly — even a rocket scientist would have a hard time figuring out.

“The business schools reward difficult complex behavior more than simple behavior, but simple behavior is more effective. ”
~ Warren Buffet

Run as fast as you can away from overly-complicated investment advice.

Learn the fundamental and simple truths about money.

You’ll go further and become richer in the long run.

And best of all, invest in yourself.

The Greatest of all Wealth Attraction Secrets

“If a man empties his purse into his head, no man can take it away from him. An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest.” ~ Benjamin Franklin

If you want to become wealthy, learn what it takes to BE wealthy.

For example, if you want to be a millionaire, consider the kind of person you would have to become.

What would your to-do list look like?

What would your goals be?

Who would you associate with?

What would you spend your day doing?

What kind of actions would you be taking?

What bad habits would you have to get rid of?

If you want to ACCELERATE your wealth…Become that person TODAY.

Don’t wait! It’s later than you think.

“To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did.”

Investing in yourself is by far — the greatest of all wealth attraction secrets.

I have a secret I’d like to share with you…

For many years I was afraid.

I was afraid I wasn’t good enough, smart enough or talented enough.

I was afraid of what people might think or say about me.

I was afraid of stepping outside of my comfort zone.

I was afraid I didn’t have the goods or the pedigree to succeed.

Little did I know, I was scared — actually more like terrified – of success.

“A man’s doubts and fears are his worst enemies.” ~ William Wrigley, Jr.

It’s no accident that during those ‘fearful’ years, I was broke, in debt and a mere shadow of who I really wanted to be.

No matter how hard I tried, that little voice inside my head kept convincing me day after day, to “play it safe” and “avoid taking risks.”

As I look back, I realize that not only did that little voice keep me safe and risk free — but it also kept me from achieving my most precious goals.

I was safe, comfortable and afraid …three traits of a stagnant and mediocre life.

“When people are ruled by fear, they strive to prevent the very changes that will abate it.” ~ Alan Paton

I learned the hard way that ….

Fear is the enemy of wealth and success.

Call it lack of confidence, self-esteem, courage ….whatever you like.

It all boils down to …fear.

Keep in mind I’m not just talking about material wealth.

If you’re fearful, you’ll never truly become what you want to be …personally, financially, or otherwise.

The Roman poet Virgil expressed this concept over 2,000 years ago when he wrote:

“Fortune favors the bold.”

Simple words. Simple truth.

Fortune favors the bold.

Notice — fortune doesn’t favor genius, education, personality, or even information.

It favors the BOLD …the UN-FEARFUL.

Think about it. Education and genius aren’t prerequisites for wealth.

If that were true, then every scientist and highly educated individual would be rich.

But that’s certainly not the case.

Skill and talent clearly aren’t the answers either.

Many with skills and talents are perennial job seekers.

Neither is luck, pull, and influence a guarantee of wealth and success.

Without confidence and self-courage you won’t be able to cash in on any advantages.

What about information?

Many people feel information and more knowledge is the answer to their problems.

The fact is, there is more information available today on how to succeed and improve one’s life than at any other time in history.

Yet despite the abundance of how-to knowledge and self-help material, there are still more people who consider themselves unsuccessful than successful.

And my guess is that it will ALWAYS be this way.

Why?

Fear …plain and simple.

The fear to ACT …..the fear to EXCEL …..the fear to be BOLD.

Is it Really Fear?

Some may argue that fear has nothing to do with it.

Some will say that there isn’t enough time…

…or money,

…or motivation,

…or fill in the blank.

And I say, it doesn’t matter who you are or what you want to accomplish…

Peel away the excuses and at the core you’ll find some type of fear; lack of confidence, apprehension, fear of rejection or failure, or an undervalued sense of self-worth.

“A man who says he has never been scared is either lying or else he’s never been any place or done anything.” ~ Louis L’Amour

We ALL have fears.

The question is…

Do you allow your fears to control your destiny?

If there is something you would like to BE, DO, or HAVE and it’s been alluding you — open yourself up to the possibility that some type of fear may be interfering with its realization.

Perhaps you need to make an important phone call, but the person you need to speak to intimidates you.

Perhaps you need to speak in front of a group, but are terrified of public speaking.

Perhaps you need to apply for a certain position or start a new business, but don’t feel qualified or experienced enough.

Whatever the case may be, a negative thought or fear may be preventing you from reaching your TIPPING POINT.

The good news is…

Fear can be reduced and even eliminated!

Here’s how…

======================================
5 Steps to Conquering Your Fears and Attracting Success
======================================

1) Don’t take counsel of your fears

Legendary World War II general, George S. Patton, was once asked by a reporter if he had any fears before going into battle.

General Patton responded:

“Yes, I do. But I never take counsel of my fears.”

Fear is natural. It’s nature’s way of protecting us from potentially dangerous situations.

Unfortunately, fear can also keep us from achieving our goals.

If you experience negative feelings or fear before an important undertaking, realize that it’s all in your mind …because IT IS!

Fear is simply False Evidence Appearing Real

Your mind is a thought factory. It produces countless thoughts every single day.

And for many of us, the majority of those thoughts tend to be negative.

Just because you have a thought, doesn’t mean you have to think about it for more than a second.

Next time you have something important to do and a fearful thought creeps into your thinking, say to yourself, “this is only a thought.”

And then follow the advice in Step #2

2) Replace negative thoughts with positive imagery

We think in terms of pictures and imagery.

Successful people have a tendency to picture themselves as having and doing what they want.

Unsuccessful people, on the other hand, tend to picture themselves in all kinds of negative scenarios.

“Dynamic thought or belief helps create the actual fact.” ~ William James

There’s no question…

If you want to accomplish your goals and achieve your dreams, it’s important to “see” yourself as already having the thing that you want.

Once you begin to think in terms of what’s possible, you create an important and positive shift in your thinking.

And if you continually replay these positive and empowering feelings over and over again, you eventually become what you think about.

Positive imagery is one of the most effective ways to banish fears and accelerate success.

3) Have faith

Whenever multimillionaire and insurance tycoon, W. Clement Stone faced a difficulty or negative situation, he kept repeating the affirmation, “God is a good God.”

People who believe in themselves and a higher power have a tendency to remain calm and positive in adverse situations because they believe that no matter what happens, the perfect result will always occur.

“There is but one ultimate Power. This Power is to each one what he is to it. ~ Ernest Holmes

Fear and faith cannot coexist in the same mind.

Exercise faith in yourself and a higher power, and fear will be expelled from your thinking.

4) Ask …What’s the worst that can happen?

The fear of failure licks most people before they even get started.

Ask yourself this question…

If I fail, what’s the worst thing that will happen to me?

And if your answer is anything other than DEATH, here’s what I have to say…

If you fail, is it really the end of the world?

In fact, if you try something and end up humiliated, embarrassed, defeated or bankrupt, you’ll be in some pretty good company…

Benjamen Franklin, Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Edison, Ulysses S. Grant, Donald Trump, actor Harrison Ford, The Beatles, Michael Jordan, Walt Disney and more.

All of these individuals suffered through some type of personal or business failure. Some failed more than once.

Consider also this fact…

According to a survey, roughly one third of the founders of Fortune 1000 companies suffered a severe and humiliating business failure and had to file bankruptcy.

Here’s a dirty little secret….

When it comes to achieving ultimate success, failure is oftentimes a rite of passage.

Life equals risk.

More often than not, success is achieved after several failed attempts.

So relax …if you fail, you’ll be one step closer to success.

5) Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway®

Probably the best way to reduce or eliminate fear is to simply ACT.

When thoughts don’t neutralize fears or negative emotions, taking action will.

“Do what you are afraid to do. Go where you are afraid to go. When you run away because you are afraid to do something big, you pass opportunity by.” ~ W. Clement Stone

The proverb … “an idle mind is the devil’s workshop”, I believe perfectly describes fear.

”When I am idle and shiftless, my affairs become confused; when I work I get results …not great results, but enough to encourage me.” ~ Edgar Watson Howe

A person who doesn’t have something to occupy him or herself with is going to be tempted with idle thoughts.

And for many people, those idle thoughts will be mostly negative.

When you’re busy taking action, you have less of an opportunity to think about circumstances and situations which aren’t real.

In other words, when you’re active, you have less time to be fearful.

Don’t let doubts and fears get the best of you…

Take action often.

**RECOMMENDED RESOURCE
The book Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway, by Susan Jeffers, Ph.D is a wonderful collection of practical ideas and advice on how to overcome fear and live a more fulfilling and empowering life.

From Fear to Freedom

One insidious characteristic about fear is that it tends to penetrate many areas of your life.

For example, if you have a fear of rejection, it will show up when you apply for a job, deal with an intimate relationship, sell products or services, start a new business and so on.

Fear causes you to protect yourself.

And when you protect yourself, you limit yourself.

Fear is the enemy of wealth and success.

Be sure to conquer it at every opportunity.
