Our painter’s get to test their skills matching colors, finding and implementing new paints and color applications all while working with some of the most innovating prototypes and parts available. What are we looking for? The successful candidate will be someone with a high level of quality and commitment to finished products and equipment. It requires both knowledge and skills in site and part preparation before painting, surface quality requirements, knowledge of a variety of part types (metals & plastics), masking, working with different finishing materials/mediums to produce required surface finishes (smooth and textures) and scheduling work to meet deadlines. Painters are also required to monitor inventory levels for all products used in the paint shop and keep appropriate records. Maintenance of all related equipment and the paint shop itself are critical to ensure continued quality. Everything must be kept clean on a daily basis; floors, booth, filters, airbrushes and pots. Painters must be well versed in the use of conventional spray guns, airbrush and pots, the difference between paint finishes, textures and drying times.
