PSYCHOLLYWOOD

FACTOTUM

2015-12-19T06:26:00.000-08:00

Psychollywood is a polish rock group, based in Tricity, Gdynia. The band was formed by Dominik Koziura(bass) and Marcin Krzyzanski(guitar) in 2004. Short after that Michal Wojcik(guitar) has joined them, as a perfect musical and personal match. Back then, band regrouped for a few times with several musicians of local acts, such as Blindead(Konrad Ciesielski,Patryk Zwolinski), ex-Behemoth(Rafal Brauer), but it took a long time before appropriate parts of the puzzle started to fit. Finally in 2008 Psychollywood has started to work on their debut material with new vocalist David Zwolan, and as Tomek Wyrabkiewicz(drums) has joined them later on, the current line-up was then complete.
Psychollywood defines itself as a high-energie rock'n'roll, heavily influenced and inspired by hard music of the 80's & 90's, but at the same time they try to hold the balance between what rock'n'roll would sound like and their own sonic identity...

NICE RECOMMENDATION on HeavyPlanet 5.08.2011

2011-08-05T11:42:00.000-07:00

"The Polish music scene is absolutely on fire right now and Psychollywood is another band looking to take the world by storm. Combining nineties post-grunge (Stone Temple Pilots) with southern-fried metal (Black Label Society) and a bit of bluesy eighties sleaze metal (Faster Pussycat), Psychollywood shreds your eardrums with fiery guitar solos, a solid rhythm section and a keen sense for melody. Check out their latest self-titled release on Bandcamp."

BAND TOUR PLANES

2011-01-15T03:26:00.000-08:00

15.01.2011
Lately the band received really nice offer to join country-wide tour with three other bands, planned for Autumn 2011. Whole project seems to be quite large venture. Several gigs around Poland, major cities, day after day concerts. Looking forward to know further details...
But untill that time, of course there will be quite few other occasions to see band live.

ABOUT NEW ALBUM...

2010-12-20T02:40:00.000-08:00

23.12.2010
In the mean time, all that is cartain is that the new album will sound very hard and solid, but it will also have melody, energy and vibe which is gonna make your blood boil, that's for sure!. Probably 11 songs will appear on the cd, mostly nitro driven, rapid compositions, but there's also quite few laid-back moments that will let you take another breath.
The band's new, yet untitled album is currently being recorded at 'Sounds Great Studio' in Gdynia and is due out later 2011.

SO FAR, SO GOOD...

2010-12-18T06:29:00.000-08:00

18.12.2010
So far, so good...from the beginning of January 2011, the band is gonna be very busy at the studio, finishing long-awaited full lenght album which has been expected previous year, but due to personal reasons it couldn't come to light. Hopefully everything will go smoothly this time and you'll hear from Psychollywood very very soon.
