I have to thank Rob Fortin for sharing his amazing vacation photos with us. There were so many great one is was really hard to narrow it down. They managed to do a lot of relaxing by the pool but also sightseeing while they stayed at our Villa.

AHHH….Beautiful Caracol che! Let me just say that pictures are better than words sometimes! However, our special 50th Anniversary trip was just amazing and full of memories and moments that could not have happened without the expertise of our humble, very caring and knowledgeable host and owner, Carlos! The first time you are driven up to the entrance of the the beautiful Villa, you know you are in for a treat….all the travel weariness just melts away! The architecture is so perfect for the setting with open spaces that are well designed as well as private spots for reading, dozing, relaxing. The big table is perfect for the crowd gathering together and plenty of room on the verandas.
All the bedrooms have private baths, and the Eco Cottage is adorable with it’s own outdoor shower!
Our open kitchen was easy to work in and had lots of space to organize meals with stacks of dishes and utensils for our use.
The beaches are all different…some calm enough for snorkeling, and others perfect for surfing or just playing.
All the locals are friendly and helpful, and there are plenty of small shops with local art, unusual hand-made jewelry and clothing for everyone! There is a very nice variety of restaurants for special dining as well as pop-up places for a healthy breakfast, lunch,or snack. If you want a catered dinner, Carlos is there to help you!
After our beach excursions and fishing adventures, it was always such luxury to come back to our beautiful “home” and jump in the pool, while others made a refreshing mango drink at the outdoor bar! Don’t hesitate….call and book now!

New outdoor kitchen

At Caracol Che we are always looking for new ways to improve on our resort. We love hearing the suggestions from our guests on ways to make their stay that much more relaxing. Our main floor has a beautiful fully stocked kitchen, with a charcoal grill and family style table right outside on the deck. This is great for those relaxing nights at the villa where you can dine overlooking the ocean while watching picture perfect sunsets. Downstairs on the pool level we have a gas grill and a bar area with a sink and refrigerator. While this set up has served our guests well for many years, there have been times that it would’ve been much nicer to have a stove and oven on this level as well. Even if its just for the convenience of having to take one less trip up a flight of steps, it is vacation after all! But more importantly, if you have catered dinners, parties or a wedding they have a more convenient (and out of the way area) to prepare.

There are plenty of dinning options around Caracol Che’s villa, in my opinion none of them compare to a catered dinner right on the property. Where else would you match the intimacy, view and authentic foods? There are many dinner options to choose from from pig roast, brick oven pizza, authentic puerto rican or argentine BBQ. And thats just naming a few of the options! You can make it at casual as you want, like appetizers by the bar or a full service sit down diner on the upper deck while watching the sunset. All that and you never have to leave the property! After dinner take a nice stroll through the lush tropical gardens, take a dip in the pool or everyone head to the outdoor bar and pool table!

“Epic trip to Puerto Rico @ Caracol Che” ( flipkey)

We were three families (six adults and six kids total) and enjoyed a fantastic week of activities, relaxation,

great food, “exclusive” facilities, and tranquil, island vibe of Caracol Che Villa. The experience begins and

ends with Carlos, Caracol Che’s owner/ manager, who is just a welcoming, warm, and service-oriented guy. He

has created a great destination villa, and we enjoyed everything it had to offer – a beautiful salt-water pool and

sunbathing area, fantastic house layout and facilities, home-catered dinners (highly recommended), beautiful

grounds, large jacuzzi, our yoga/ exercise deck, roof deck, outdoor bar (and kitchen – brand new!), eco-lodge,

outdoor sitting areas (great for hanging out in evenings after dinner) hammocks, pool table, WiFi and sound

system.

We recommend many of the services Carlos offers/ can arrange: group shuttle from airport to Caracol

Che; rental cars (dropped off/ picked up at Caracol Che); pre-arrival groceries/ liquor/ beer/ wine – a great

convenience; and the many relationships/ recommendations that Carlos can make with the “best of” Rincon

area activities – catamaran sailing/ snorkeling – excellent; surfing lessons for the family – a must-do; zipline/

eco-tours – while a bit of a drive, beautiful area and well worth the effort; restaurants/ bars – plenty of options,

but within walking distance and via short car ride into Rincon; beaches – all around; and other points of

interest.

This property and owner ultimately delivers an exclusive, high-end experience and does so at a great value –

in a completely relaxed atmosphere and with an unpretentious attitude that was exactly what we were looking

for!

Magical Moments in a tropical paradise (homeaway)

I had my wedding at Caracol Che and it was an amazing experience. My wedding was better than I expected, it was perfection. Carlos, the owner, welcomed me, my friends, & family with literally opened arms and was there every moment to make sure we were comfortable with no worries. We had the time of our lives, unforgettable. The views were breathtaking! Service was uncomparable. Aidita, wedding coordinator, put to life my vision of my dream wedding and made it better than I could have imagined. Words cannot express how much I enjoyed my time there. I was relaxed the entire time, even up to the last few minutes of my wedding. There are restauraunts nearby (walk or drive), beaches within walking distance, never bored with nothing to do or see. It was magical, it was perfection, it was paradise. Carlos was like family. I would absolutely recommend renting Caracol Che for a wedding, event, or family vacation. Carlos will take care of you!

Stop reading and book Caracol Che before someone else does! After the two hour drive from SJ, we arrived to find Carlos offering drinks and immediate relaxation. His wonderful sense of humor was immediately apparent and we knew right away we’d get along just fine with our host. We were two familes of 4 adults and 6 children, ages 6-13. The villa is more beautiful than we expected; Carlos has perfected an authentic property that is spacious, clean, and with more places to sit and relax than you can imagine. The pool is amazing, as are the vistas. Eveyone enjoyed being able to hop in the pool at a moment’s notice. The poolside suite with the king bed is comfortable while retaining an authentic tropical feeling. Paradise. Carlos helps you arrange all trips, groceries and special requests – even printing and faxing at a moment’s notice. We snorkeled at Steps Beach and visited the waterfalls at San Sebastian. All great half day trips. Carlos values your privacy while making it known he is available for you at all times. His staff is wonderful – great cooks and daily maintenance of the rooms and property. Rincon is a very laid back, eclectic town just a 5-7 minute walk from the villa. We walked to the beach several times where the kids boogie boarded and played. The surf was too rough to swim on just two days. Great local food in town at various casual restaurants. Carlos is a warm host, dedicated to making your stay as relaxing or as active as you want. If you are looking for the features and crowds of a big box resort, then go somewhere else. But if you are looking for authenticity, relaxation, personal service, and the feeling of staying at an old friend’s home, go to Caracol Che!

Best vacation ever!! (tripadvisor)

Honestly, it’s all been said in the previous reviews. Carlos is indeed an amazing, nice and generous man. The property is like Fantasy Island – it’s perfection. The community the house is in is a very laid-back and cool surf town with plenty to do on foot, although a car would be nice for exploring. Yoga at 9a and 4p every day a 5min walk from the house, surfing lessons right on the nearby beach, several good restaurants (we liked Pool Bar sushi and Ode to Elephants best; the food truck across from Tamboo is also great). Carlos made the vacation so easy and relaxing. Take him up on the airport shuttle offer. Take him up on the offer of a welcome dinner. Take him up on the offer of having rental cars delivered to the house. All made the vacation so much more relaxing. My family and I have used Vrbo and Homeaway rentals quite often over the last 8 years or so and based on our experiences, we have learned to really really read the reviews to get a sense of what a place is really like. So, trust the hundreds of 5-star reviews that you’ll see here and know that they are all right and that Caracol Che is one of the most unique and fabulous vacation properties that you will ever rent!! We are counting the days until our return. Gracias Carlos!!

A mini vacation right at your desk!

Those who have stayed at Caracol Che KNOW that the pictures on the website just don’t do the property justice. In fact, a lot of our visitors mentioned this when staying with us. You can try to google earth the property to see the whole layout of the house, pool and gardens but with so many palm trees its really hard to see everything. I know there is no way to capture the sound of the lush foliage swaying in the breeze, the crashing waves, and the coqui combined with the feel of the sun and warm breeze and smell of the ocean and tropical flowers. (If we could bottle it all, along with Carlos, and sell it we would be very rich!)
But we did have an amazing new video of our property done to give you a better idea of what it’s like to walk around the property, take a swim in the pool or see the panoramic view from the rooftop deck.
