Families Chek Jawa Walk

A group photo before the start of the Walk.

While waiting for the transport, everyone have a relaxing moment at the beach.

We were greeted by a family of wild boar upon the arrival at Chek Jawa.

Ubin Walk - Pulau Ubin Photo Walk - For iPhoneographers in Singapore

This is my first photo walk / photography tour, conducted for some of the iPhoneographers in Singapore.
We started with a Chek Jawa tour, followed by a short walk out to the beach, and then back to the town for our lunch. We continue snapping to the evening, and we return when the sun is setting.

Chek Jawa Tour (April 2011)
A good 3-hours Chek Jawa tour for a getaway from the busy schedule.
It was a good opportunity for the colleagues from the different departments to meet and share about their work experiences in the various department.
Not much of a Team Building, but more on the Team Bonding.

IM Flash Build 2011 (June 2011)
A "Wet"-Fun-filled day for the group from IM Flash Singapore.
We faced a heavy downpour on arrival on the island, but this does not damage the mood for everyone.
We started off with a Chek Jawa tour, and followed by an Amazing Race on the island.
The event ends well with a dinner at one of the local restaurant.

World Biodiversity Day at Chek Jawa Boardwalk

I attended the Chek Jawa guided walk conduct by

Nake Hermit Crabs.

It was slightly wet in the day, but all and all, the rain was cleared

half way through the walk.

Our guide for today will be:

Ria Tan - The bubbly Sister.

A very shy creature.

A group of photographers waiting for the moment to capture a bird.

And he did it.. and he wants to do it again.

Ria, our guide, brought us through Chek Jawa.

The tide level was just nice for a walk to see the different eco-systems.

The Rocky shore.

The children had the opportunity to pen down their experiences at Chek Jawa.

Pulau Ubin Tour - Nature Walk - 3 April 2010

After a few weeks of break, Nature Walk - Ubin Tour is back again.
This time round, we have 6 crazy fans of Pulau Ubin.

It was all bright and shine, until.......

Waiting at Changi Point Ferry Terminal.
We all had a heavy lunch, which explains the tiredness on the face.

Paying for the boat fare - S$2.50 per trip

All the beautiful smiles at the start of the tour.

I guessed, the tour was good.
Even the Superman cant resist to ask for a hug..

Conclusion:

A lot of Sun; A lot of heat.

A lot of rain; A lot of wetness.

A lot of Fun; A lot of Laughters.

The sky was cleared and there wasn't much cloud to block the sun :D

The boat ride.

The tide was low on that day.

Though we don't get to see much of the marines life, but still, we had a good view.

Pulau Ubin Tour - Nature Walk on 5 Dec 2009

Sorry for the late post (again.. very sorry.. )
Was busy for the past week (ok, I admit, I was lazy actually, i cant be koaLAZYmonkey for no reason).
We had a Nature Walk tour 2 weeks ago, and it was a good one.
(Disclaimer: Some of the photos were taken by my iphone, apologize for the poor quality.)

The weather don't sound promising actually.

And they are.........(from left) Oliver, Katey, Haylea, Lauren (in front of Haylea), Teddy and Chad.

We were hit by slight shower while on the way to Check Jawa, and we were slightly "injured"by the rain.

All was good, and we took a walk down the jetty to feel the stormy weather and experiencing the high tide.

Yes, it was high tide!! But the breeze was good, so was the air.

We took a break at the "mini zoo", the old Orchid garden.

Those were the days when they were useful, now, they are a display.
They have done their parts for the history.

We paddled on for a while, and we stopped at Pekan Quarry for some photo shoots.

And I discovered something amazing - YOUNGSTERS CAN'T READ.
We seriously need to take a look at the educational system!
Despite the warning sight, young visitors were still taking the risk to walked the closed road.

Taking a break after listening to the myth.

When asked for a shoot, they just stand still, but I believe they can do better.

Due to high tide, they don't get to see much at Chek Jawa.

Yes, certainly, I miss the island, and was surprised by the changes over this short period.
I have done a couple of small tours in between but it was not posted.

Took a really long break for some development,
I apologize for the disappearance.

I am back again.

The latest Pulau Ubin Nature Walk tour was conducted on 7 Feb, with 5 hostel guests.

It was a long day, cycling up-&-down tour, and everyone was exhausted after the fulfilling tour.

Picture speak a thousand words, I should let the pictures do the talking.

Campsite set up & Campfire at Pulau Ubin

Camp site set up & campfire on Pulau Ubin is nothing new, but this is a total different experience for me.

This project was done by UNLESAH, for our client, Mediamorphosis, for their project, Satu Family.

Our tasks for this project:
(1) Set up a campsite so that individual group will follow, &
(2) a Campfire for the night shooting.

The team comprises of:

Vik (on far left), Han (in the centre), and Justin (far right)

(1) Set up a campsite

This is the campsite that we set up, and the individual group will have to do exactly the same.
Basically, there were 2 bashas, and a flag pole.

(2) Campfire
First, we need to set up a Tiki Torch path, so that the video crew could shoot the participants walking thru the path to the "Tribute Council".

Then, came the main fire.
We have to ensure that the fire was bright enough for the production crew to do a proper shot.

It was just a 1-day project, but there was so much fun and energy involved.
I am sure that the participants have a total different experience while they were on Pulau Ubin.

Been away for quite sometimes..... not that I am not doing Ubin tours or Ubin events.
Just that I am conquer by the greatest monster in Life.. Laziness....
(no excuses that my new born Athena is occupying my time... )
