Designed for the control and running of two 400V three phase dirty water/sewage pumps, offering protection against dry running and motor overload. Suitable for submersible pumps with motor sizes up to a nominal 4.5HP (3.4kW).

Note: Overload ranges selected to suit specific pump requirements.

Operation – In operation the level control system utilises float switches operating on 24Vac. Typically four float switches are required for the alternating duty/assist system; one upper (high level alarm), one contemporaneous (both pumps running), one duty pump (alternating), and one low level stop.

Typical Sump Emptying Application -  Using two submersible pumps and four float switches. As the liquid level rises it triggers the second float to start the pumps on an alternating basis. As the liquid level drops the bottom float is triggered to stop the pump. If for any reason the liquid level rises to float three, the second pump will also start to assist in emptying the sump. If the liquid level rises to the top float, the audible alarm is triggered and the alarm indicator light on the panel is illumininated.

As a guide, it is recommended that the pump cycle should not be repeated more than 10 times per hour.

Operation – In operation, the level control system utilises float switches operating on 24Vac. Normally three float switches are required; one upper (high level alarm), one middle (start) and one lower (stop). The panel can operate as a simple ON/OFF device using just one float switch.

Typical Sump Emptying Application -  When the sump liquid level rises, it triggers the middle or ‘start’ float switch. As the liquid level falls to the set point, it triggers the lower float switch, turning the pump off. If for any reason the pump does not start and/or the liquid level rises to the top float switch, the audible alarm is triggered and the alarm indicator light on the panel is illuminated.

As a guide, it is recommended that the pump cycle should not be repeated more than 6 times per hour. In a filling application, the cycle is simply reversed.
