This week we started to work with another one of Harper Collins’ authors, Kate Maryon, who’s book ‘Shine’ was released on March 4th.

Shine is aimed at a younger teenage audience, so we’ve been reliving our youth and trying to remember what made us tick at that age… Do kids still like The A-Team??

Prior to launch we developed a unique Facebook Tab which features a sneak preview of the book, and since then we’ve been spreading the word of Shine all over the social web, as well as managing the Facebook ad spend. We are very pleased to announce that Leona’s fundraising auctions for Oxfam’s Haiti earthquake response, after attracting 170 eBay bids, have together raised nearly £12,000!

The money is enough to buy lifesaving equipment such as hygiene kits for 1,200 families or basic latrines for 9,600 people.

The main attraction was of course the chance to spend an afternoon with Leona, which went for £10,520!. The haircut and style by Leona’s hairstylist Ben Cooke went for £405, a lesson from Leona’s make-up artist Jane Bradley raised £230, and the signed presentation disc and goody-bag reached £720!

Leona had this to say… “The response to the auction was just incredible. Oxfam do amazing work, and I’m delighted to have done my bit to help them save lives in Haiti. I can’t wait to meet the winner and spend the afternoon with them, and would like to thank everyone who put in a bid for their support.”

Many people would tell you that ‘Arsenal FC are by far the greatest team the world has ever seen’. Now obviously we’re impartial, but we would definitely say they have by far the greatest Facebook page that the world has ever seen following the launch of their all new, Punktilio made ‘Arsenal TV Online’ page this week.

In addition to her efforts on the charity single ‘Helping Haiti Everybody Hurts‘, Leona Lewis wants to do more to help the Haiti relief effort. We recently completed a Facebook Page design for Job Centre Plus. The initiative helps people leaving education to find their first ‘proper job’.

The Page features a number of unique Tabs including a search engine that allows you to find specific jobs in your area, as well as tips on how to find your first job, options after 16, and opions for graduates.

CinemaNX, creators of Me & Orson Wells launch their latest film ‘The Disappearance of Alice Creed’ (TDAC) on 30th April. Punktilio have been appointed to manage the social media elements of the film’s release. With a plot that twists and turns like a caught snake, TDAC is a gripping thriller about a meticulously planned kidnap that becomes increasingly complicated, ultimately ending in a desperate struggle for survival.

Punktilio is primarily responsible for creating social engagement and online buzz around the film. We’ll also be monitoring what fans are expecting and wanting from such a production.

Phones 4u asked us to think of something lovers could do this Valentine’s day. So, we’ve launched a competition called ‘Phones 4Lovers’. To enter couples post photos of themselves in their favourtie ‘positions’ on twitter, while adding ‘@Phones4u’ and ‘#Phones4Lovers’ to their tweets. We recently took the reins on all things digital for Syco Music. As well as running all of the artist’s websites and social campaigns, we’ve also been looking after the charirty single ‘Helping Haiti – Everybody Hurts’.

Some of the biggest names in music have joined forces to record an emotive cover of REM’s classic “Everybody Hurts”, to raise money for charities supporting the relief efforts in Haiti. Syco artists involved are Leona Lewis, Alexandra Burke, Joe McElderry, Susan Boyle and Westlife, who join Bon Jovi, Take That, Robbie Williams, Kylie, Rod Stewart, Mariah Carey, Miley Cyrus, Cheryl Cole, JLS, Mika, Michael Bublé, James Blunt, and James Morrison.

We’re creating pages and groups as I type and liaising with all the artists to get their fans support. We’ve got some of the biggest Social Networks on board, including Facebook, Myspace, and YouTube. We are also liaising with Nokia, The Sun and other brands to get the word spread as far and wide as possible.

Proceeds from the single will be split 50/50 between DEC (Disasters Emergency Committee) and the “Helping Haiti” appeal in aid of Doctors without borders/ Médecins Sans Frontières UK.
