The hyper-active twins are known for their outrageous behaviour and the Irish firm are offering 10/1 that they crowd surf at the final, while the chances of them streaking on stage would even be out of character for Jedward at 50/1.

The boys have claimed that they will keep entering the song contest until they win it and Boylesports are offering 6/4 that they return to the stage next year. However, there is still a lot of support for them taking the title back to Ireland and their odds have been cut once more into 10/1 from 12/1.

Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere is an exciting and promising young talent but, strangely, his reputation among neutral fans and the media appears to have been handed a boost, over the past 12 months, despite a nightmare spell of injury problems that has kept the youngster away from the pitch.

Arsenal fans may well have spent months cursing the fact that Wilshere failed to make a full return to match fitness, but there’s no getting away from the fact that he is now a little bit of an unknown quantity, following such a long spell out of action.

Wilshere is lauded as the embodiment of the England midfield and the all-round saviour of Arsenal FC, despite his injury problems. However, if he returns, and fails to live up to the immense reputation he now bears on his young shoulders, he will surely be written off in the same blasé manner in which he was built up by the media hounds.

If you want an example of that, just look at the manner in which Michael Essien has become the forgotten man of Chelsea, after a season out through injury.

One thing Wilshere does have in his favour is the fact that he will not compete, this summer, at the Euros, meaning that he will be removed from the deluge of blame and recriminations that will undoubtedly follow England’s exit from the tournament. His absence is a blow to England, according to the Betfair Euro 2012 tips.

Whatever happens to England, this summer, unless they win the tournament (and let’s face it, that’s a laughable prospect at the moment), young Wilshere will continue to see his stock rise, as his older teammates carry on failing to be successful at major international tournaments.

Clubs who are relegated from the Premier League face a number of difficult dilemmas when preparing for life outside of England’s top-flight. A number of examples can be cited of teams who have struggled to adapt to life in the lower leagues shown by their inability to shoot back up to the top flight at first time of asking.

Leeds United have been out of the Premiership since their relegation in 2004 with extreme financial difficulty and turbulent times. Not long before their relegation, Leeds were in the semi-finals of Europe’s most prestigious competition until their eventual demise into the third tier of English football.

Despite receiving a parachute package to aid their transition; many clubs face financial difficulty in relegation which could threaten their existence. This, however, is not the only of their worries and for most players far from the most pressing issue given money usually conquers club loyalty these days. For most players of ambition and ability; playing in the Championship or other lower leagues for a season or two is simply not an option.

Blackburn, Wolves and Bolton all face the prospect of losing their best players in the summer transfer window as playing staff look to stay at the pinnacle of English football. Within this article I was look at the players who have impressed enough over the last year to merit a transfer to a club with Premier League status. I will also look at those who may not decide a move is the best choice of action for whatever circumstances.

Steven Fletcher

In spite of Wolves’ terrible season and quite frankly rotten style of place for most of the year, their main threat has scored an extremely respectable 12 goals this campaign. His ability to score this many goals in a side which was struggling all season long will have won him admirers across the EPL. Although the bigger sides are probably out of his reach, it is not hard to see a decent mid-table side come for him in the summer.

Morten Gamst Pederson

The Norwegian international has been a faithful servant at Ewood Park for 8 years but the relegation of the Lancashire may be the catalyst for the talented midfielder to move on. He has been at the club longer than most and his loyalty may cause him to stay but there is no doubt that he will be a sought after asset by some of the other remaining Premier League clubs. The talented midfielder and is a set piece specialist and could be courted by the likes of Stoke, who are notorious for their danger from set plays.

Junior Hoilett

Hoilett has been one of the few shining lights in an otherwise derisory Blackburn side this year. He was a relatively unknown prospect before the start of the year but quickly drew attention with his impressive dribbling skills and ability to attack full-backs in an exciting manner. With little else for Blackburn fans to get excited about, Hoilett became one of the main attractions at Ewood Park and this would not have gone un-noticed by other clubs. He was already been linked with a move to Spurs but my personal opinion is this may not be the best for him. I can see the Canadian going through similar process that Steven Pienaar went through if he moves to White Hart Lane.

Yakubu

The Yak scores goals (joint 4^th top scorer in the EPL this season). This is a skill that is craved at the top flight and many fall short. Yakubu has proven himself at the top flight after a brief stint in the Championship with Leicester. Blackburn placed their faith in the Yak to be their main goal threat and he did not disappoint. The lack of service which he received twinned with his ability to score goals in a team that played a style of football which did not create an abundance of chances is an element of his game which must be admired. Don’t be surprised if Yakubu is back in the Premier League for at least one more season after the summer.

David Dunn

David Dunn was once one of the Premier Leagues most sought after prospects whilst impressive as a youngster at Blackburn along-side his then teammate Damien Duff. Dunn originally resisted the temptation to leave Rovers but eventually was sold to Birmingham City in 2003. He returned to Blackburn in 2007 and has remained central to the Rover’s team and a popular figure in the supporter’s eyes. His role and functions as a midfielder have been altered as his career as went on and can now be seen as a battling midfielder rather than the attacking flare talisman that he was in his youth. At 32 years of age however, it would be a brave manager who would risk buying a player nearing the end of his career and little re-sell value. His clear loyalty to the club would be tested in any case and I can see him sticking with his beloved Rovers and battle his way through the Championship.

Kevin Davies

Known for his controversial style of play and being the player with the most fouls committed in Premier League history, Davies is a veteran of the Premier League. Having been at the club since 2003, Kevin Davies is out of contract in the summer and has not yet committed to the club despite his status as club captain. Having been out of favour for much of the season Davies was the subject of speculation about a move in January. Davies is a loyal servant to Bolton and despite relegation; I don’t believe that the 35 year old will move back into the top flight with another club. He says he is willing to stay and play in the Championship and despite his experience; his age will certainly put a lot of suitors off.

Martin Petrov

Like his club captain, Petrov is out of contract at the end of the season. His capture by Coyle in the summer of 2011 was seen as potentially one of the bargains of the season. Having been unlucky at joining Manchester City in the time of the uprising and vast money spending; he say his career stall slightly. Despite his age, he is still an exciting winger with pace and ability to provide assists. Don’t be surprised if he is snapped up as an active squad player for a Premiership side.

Germany National coach, Joachim Loew, has urged Bayern Munich to defeat Chelsea in the Champions League final, in order to give his players a boost ahead of the European Championships in Poland and Ukraine.

“After losing the league title and the Cup Final to Borussia Dortmund, losing the Champions League final in Munich would be a huge blow for some of the players”, Loew said.

Bayern were hammered 5-2 in the DFB-Pokal final by Dortmund, on Sunday, and, with eight of their players named in his preliminary squad, it is easy to see why Loew would be concerned about morale.

Loew has clearly considered the possibility of a Chelsea victory, on Saturday night, and has planned to give the Bayern players time to recover if necessary. “They’d be very disappointed [if they lose], and if that happens, I’m probably giving them two or three more days to clear their heads before joining us”, he said.

If the history books are anything to go by then Loew may actually prefer a Chelsea win on Saturday.

The only occasion in which the European Cup or Champions League has been won by a team from the same nation as the winners of that year’s European Championship was 1988, when Guus Hiddink led PSV Eindhoven to European Cup glory and Marco van Basten inspired the Netherlands to a famous European Championship victory.

Given Bayern’s home advantage, and the strength of their squad, it is difficult to see them slipping to defeat on Saturday, but Chelsea will be confident of causing yet another upset, after their memorable semi-final victory over Barcelona.

A Chelsea victory on Saturday would certainly be welcomed by Germany’s Group  B opponents, who will be glad of any advantage over the 1996 European Championship winners.

Robben commits to Bayern

Champions League finalists, Bayern Munich, have secured the services of Arjen Robben for another two years, after the Dutch winger signed a contract extension with the German giants.

Robben has been a crucial part of the club’s progression to the final of the Champions League, where they will come up against the winger’s former employers, Chelsea. The Reds are the current favourites for the title in the Betfred latest odds

The news will be a boost to the Germans ahead of the biggest game of their season. The development ends rumours linking Robben with a move away from the Allianz Arena, the venue of this year’s final.

Reported bust-ups with teammate, Franck Ribery, had convinced many that one of the two would have to leave, with Robben the most likely. However, all problems have ostensibly been put to one side, with both players happy to remain at the club.

Robben admitted that the decision to sign a new contract with Bayern had not been a tough one to make, insisting he felt settled in Germany, and keen to remain where he was.

“I’ve always emphasised that I feel very, very settled in Munich and at FC Bayern”, Robben said. “This contract extension is the right decision for me from a sporting perspective.

“We have a magnificent team, and I’m certain we’ll enjoy the maximum possible footballing success in the years to come.”

Djibril Cisse has admitted that he is hoping to play his way into France’s squad for this summer’s European Championships.

The QPR striker has 41 caps for his country. However, it has been nearly seven years since Cisse scored a goal in a France shirt, and there are a number of other strikers thought to be ahead of the former Liverpool man in Laurent Blanc’s plans.

While his lack of international goals may be going against him in his bid for selection, the fact that Cisse’s return to England, this season, has not been as successful as either he or QPR would have expected is a major issue for the Frenchman.

The 30-year old has only managed to play a handful of games for the struggling club, missing seven games through suspension, following two needless red cards.

Cisse’s absence has been even more of a blow to QPR, after the striker proved what he can do when he’s playing, scoring three goals in only five appearances.

Now he is back in the side, the Frenchman will be crucial to the Londoners’ hopes of maintaining their place in the Premier League. The remaining few games of the season will certainly provide plenty of opportunities to place a bet on football.

If Cisse does help keep QPR in the league, over the next few weeks, then it would certainly boost his slim chances of earning a place at this summer’s Euro 2012. The striker has admitted France will not have it easy if they are to come through a group containing England, Sweden, and co-hosts, the Ukraine.

“I still want to get into the France squad, but it’s up to me to score goals, show what I can do. It is a tough group with England. [Euro 2012] will be a nice tournament to be involved in”, admitted Cisse.

“We’ve got a strong squad. I say France or England are favourites. I say we’ll finish first, and then maybe England, but we’ll see.”
