<description><![CDATA[<table><tbody><tr> </td></tr><tr> <td valign="top" align="left"><br><font size=1>Responsibilities:</font></td></tr><tr> <td valign="top" align="left">GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT<br>Under close supervision and within established departmental and hospital policies and procedures is responsible for performing a variety of general warehouse duties to support research activities and assist in the physical operation of the warehouse and lab facility.<br><br>PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<br>1. Receives, stores, and ships calendar packs, blood collection supplies, and assembled kits. Loads and unloads supplies as they are received or when they are being shipped out to customers. <br>2. Assembles blood kits and calendar packs assembly line style, filling the kits with all necessary supplies to draw blood, labels to identify participant and instructions to follow.<br>3. Responsible for quality assurance procedures, checking for the proper match of ID number on the labels to the name of prospective participant.<br>4. Monitors liquid nitrogen tanks in freezer room and changes them as needed. Available if needed for and#x201c;on calland#x201d; after hours duty for freezer room alarm response<br>5. Performs necessary mechanical tasks required for packaging and mailing the blood collection kits and calendar packs: operation of the mail scale and meter machine, and entering daily shipping manifest information into the computer.<br>6. Assists supervisor in maintaining all necessary paperwork including tracking the numbers of           completed and mailed blood kits and calendar packs; and preparation of the weekly postage report.<br>7. At direction of supervisor, responsible for stocking supplies as needed for each project.<br>8. Other duties as assigned. </td></tr><tr> <td valign="top" align="left"><br><font size=1>Requirements:</font></td></tr><tr> <td valign="top" align="left">QUALIFICATIONS<br>1. High School Diploma<br>2. Some experience in shipping desirable.<br><br>SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED<br>1. Good organizational skills, detailed oriented. Basic computer skills<br>2. Ability to perform a variety of routine tasks under the pressure of a deadline.<br>3. Physical strength and stamina to load, lift and store boxes. Ability to push 680lb tanks on wheels<br>4. Physical coordination and dexterity to quickly package kits /calendar packs and operate mailing machine<br>5.
