I feel like I haven't updated with a blog entry in a while, so I do so so you guys won't think I'm dead or something. I've been working on Abnormal Alliances episode 1 (pilots don't count as episodes) for as much as I can now.

I went back and deleted a few things to make it better and added in a few neat effects. I hate to take any more extra time animating this but I really want to present this well. Casuse I'm a Machinima Director and all. And I'm not using motion tween in everything. I'm pretty much animating it the old fashion way, frame by frame. Sort of. I believe in quality over quantity. I'd rather make one really good work of art then a bunch of mediocre creations.

Well, winter break ends next week. So working on Abnormal Alliances might get push aside. But I swear to myself, I'll try to get it finished by February. The next time I update my blog, my the first episode of Abnormal Alliances will be finished.

Voice over bloopers

The voice acting for my next episode just about finished. The main thing I have to worry about now is getting the animation done. That will probably take a couple of weeks. I have to focus on my college work first before I work on anything else. That's why It's taking longer than usual. So in the meantime, enjoy this blooper video with a few screenshot previews of the animation.

Got it for a good deal too. Under $200. I've wanted one since it first came out but never had enough money. Went through Chrismas's and birthdays wishing for this bad boy. Now that I'm getting checks from college money isn't really an issue for me (as long as my grades are good). If you want something, buy it yourself. That's my motto.

Bought a Behringer XENYX502 5-Channel Mixer for the recording.

Also bought a Behringer C-1 Studio Condenser Microphone. Another fancy, shmacy piece of equipment I had to get for high quality recording.

I have a lot to do these days. With College, class assignments, Christmas shopping, having to go places by bus, I don't have much time to work on the animation. The good news is my semester ends this week and we get winter break. So with all that free time. I'm sure I'll get it done before the break ends.

With college started a month ago, I've had less time to work on my animations. But I assure you, I haven't forgotten about my animated series. Me and the male voice actor I chose actually tried doing the voices because I didn't want to wait any more for the high quality equipment to arrive (I realized I didn't have all the stuff I needed). But the audio came out sounding... crappy. So I just ordered some more stuff and hopefully it will be the everything I need. I'm new to this recording stuff. Bare with me.

In the meantime (again) I'm working on this animation. But I'm not gonna say what it is. You'll have to wait until I upload it on Youtube.

Testing, testing...

Over the past few weeks I have been saving money for high quailty audio recording equipment. That's pretty hard when you have no money and no job. I'm a broke college student okay? I was finally able to purchase the stuff a few days ago and it should arrive in the mail soon. I didn't think it would take this long just to do the episode. Even though the script was finished weeks ago, I can't even do the animation part yet until I get the voices done first. Well, I did a little animation for the 2nd episode.

The reason I'm getting voice recording equipment is because I'm planning to do the voice recording myself along with my animation for my next episode. The animation will be a bit different then the pilot episode (most likely better). I chose a guy who I think will be perfect for the voice of Kratos. Also, I plan to do Nariko's voice from now on.

In the meantime, I've been practicing with my animation skills. Watch the video below to check it.

Abnormal Alliances: pilot episode

Here it is at last. The pilot episode of my animation series, Abnormal Alliances.

It was kind of challenging and INCREDIBLY time consuming. Especially because freaking Flash is always crashing. I'm proud of myself for finishing it. Basically, it's an animation series on my favorite video games. An alternative world in which these characters live in. I was not in charge of voice acting. That's the only thing I would improve on. Might do it myself actually. Maybe. possibly. Most likely.

This is just the first episode. In the long run I plan to include Nero, from Devil May Cry, One of the guys from Assassins Creed, Kratos from God of war, and some other characters from my favorite video game.

Animation preview

After a month or so I finally completely finished the animation I've been working on! So far no one has gotten a glimpse of the animation and have no idea how it looks. Consider the preview photo above a treat (^_-). I won't give away any spoilers yet, you'll just have to wait till it comes out.

I haven't even been using Flash for a long while before I made this animation. About 2 months experience is what I have. Youtube tutorials are very helpful for me. I'm sure this animation isn't at my full potential. Right now all I have to do is export it into a movie and submit it. Having a bit of trouble with the way it comes out but I'm sure I'll have it fixed in no time.

Cause I have some news. There's going to be a few changes on my blog:

1) I will delete and edit a few blog entries to avoid getting to much into my personal life and so I don't ramble about stuff no one cares to read.
2) I'm staying on topic from now on. Just writing about my digital & traditional drawings. Most likely about my animations too. If it's a topic involving my personal life I'll just post a lot of the photos from Flickr. I'll occasionally write about video games too.
3) I stopped project 365 a while ago. Lost interest in it. :P

That's pretty much it. This is just a heads up for all my loyal followers.

College is coming up soon! I'm excited! I hope I can get all the supplies I need by then.

There are a lot of projects I created for myself to do. Projects 365 (which I've been neglecting), making things for my Etsy shop, finishing this dress I've been working on, and doing drawing for my video game blog. Why do I create them? Because they're fun!

I've been working on my video game blog for a while now and I've finally come up with a theme for my content. You'll have to visit the blog yourself to find out what that is. Also, I've created a cool mascot for my blog! Check him out on Deep Space Gamer.

Things are lookin' up

Me, my sisters and a friend went out for slushies to a few days ago. Then to the beach and the mall. It was the most fun I had in a long time.

Okay, lately I have been feeling down in the dumps. I recently found out that I didn't get the job I had an interview for. They hired someone else instead :( But theres a good chance things will change. I hope I haven't jinked it by mentioning it on my blog. It's seems every time I right about something before it happens it doesn't happen. Maybe it's just me though. Well, either way I won't say anything about it yet because it hasn't happened yet. All I'll say is, it seems I can but my financial troubles to rest. (Don't jinks me blog!!) haha.

Weekend at the Festival

A really great customer paid me to make 50 of these mini carrots ^_^

Out of all the flowers in the lilac festival, I only took one photo and the flowers where kinda brown and dried up (^_^;)

So I'm an enigma

X-ray of my root canal tooth

In one of my previous entries, I wrote about my six wisdom teeth and my root canal. On Tuesday, I went to the dentist again. I've been going to the dentist a lot these days. The time before that was a different dentist. They did some x-rays and said they think Aspin Dental made a mistake on my root canal. The most experienced dentist said he had no idea what that thing in my tooth was. Luckily, this time I remembered to ask for a copy of the x-rays.

Look at the picture above. See the tooth in the center with white inside and three lines? (I edited the picture so it looks pinkish, bluish) The dentist, let's call him Dr.P, said he had no idea what that thing on the far right side is. So he recommend I go to another dentist.

Once again another doctor is baffled at it! No dentist seems to know what it is. This dentist, let's call him Dr.H, said it was strange because he's done thousands of teeth. He said I was an enigma. He also kept calling me "dollface" and "doll" which I liked. They also found out I had an infection in the tooth because of it. So he decided to open up my tooth to find the thing. After all the drilling, the dentist still couldn't find it.

So they are going to call Aspen Dental and see whats up. I'll be going back again once I get the verdict.

Being constructive + free wallpaper!

On Saturday I started volunteering at a place that I used to get paid to work through a summer ob program in 2009. I just want to get out of the house and do something to contribute to other people. The problem is, I need bus fair to get there everyday and that's money I don't have.

Also, I don't feel safe walking down the street alone where the place is located. It's the type of street where police cars drive down often to make sure things are safe. Makes me wonder, if I have to worry about getting attacked as I walk down the street, is it even worth trying to help a community like that? I was thinking of quitting and just sending them a donation every once in a while when I get a job. Any thoughts on this?

I couldn't resist drawing this. If you've actually seen the movie Sucker Punch, you'll get this.

When I first watched the previews I thought this is going to be the best movie ever. Giant samurai's with machine guns? Cool fantasy land? Girl power? How can it lose! Well that's until I saw the movie. My reaction was, "...WTF?"

It's the type of movie that made my eye's orgasm but the everything else was crap. Even though the movie has empowering scenes with the girls armed with weapons in battle, the girls are objectified throughout the film. When they’re not trotting into battle, they are slapped, stabbed, pushed into walls and threatened with lobotomies, rape or forced prostitution. Their plan to escape was so sloppy and they were easily caught several times. I literally felt like yelling "YOU IDIOTS!" in the theater a few times. But The thing that annoyed me the most was their little "inspirational message" at the end. Which was:

"Who Honors those we love for the very life we live? Who sends monsters to kill us...and at the same time sings that we'll never die? Who teaches us what's real...and how to laugh at lies? Who decides why we live and what we'll die to defend? Who chains us...and who holds the key that can set us free? It's you. You have all the weapons you need. Now fight!"

It's funny because the main character had absolutely no control over what was happening to her. And by "weapons" I'm sure they refer to the female body. Way to send a misogynistic message, Zak Snyder.

I woke up this morning, turned on NBC news and heard this:

"An 8.9 earthquake off the Pacific coast sets off a massive tsunami, resulting in floods, fires and the closure of airports and transit systems. Up to 300 bodies are found on a beach in Sendai, on the northeast coast, with another 110 confirmed dead elsewhere. Authorities are monitoring Japan's nuclear power plants."

I watched Obama do a speech on tv about it this morning. I recall him saying that he had a close relation to Japan because he grew up in Hawaii and there were many Asian people there.

My heart goes out to you Japan and the thousands of people who died. Hope you recover soon.

New layout! Doodles galore

New layout! I really like this one. There are still a few things I need to fix though. I realized that the previous layout was a little to bulky and flashy for me. This one is a little more simple but lovely. I decided to make the banner look like doodles on line paper.

Managing an online shop

Yes, I know it's been a while since I've posted, but that because I've been busy with my online shop. I was planning on getting a domain name and asking other people who made handmade items to join my business and everything. But yesterday I realized that I was putting to much effort into it.

On another note, I'll be applying for college soon! Finally! I hope I will be able to do everything I can to be excepted.

Here's some picture and stuff of what I've been doing these past few weeks:

Made a cute case! If no one buys this at my shop I will keep it for myself.

Straitened my hair. Well, smoothed it out. I was too scard to use my MaxiGlide flat iron on high heat because I was afraid my hair would get damaged or it wouldn't revert back to normal. (Made those earrings too)
