i made this cake today. my very first attempt. The cake is moist and yummy i can say. You should try one.

recipe

Chocolate Banana Cake:

2 cups (400 grams) granulated whitesugar

1 3/4 cups (245 grams) all-purposeflour

3/4 cup (75 grams) unsweetened cocoa powder(regular or Dutch-processed)

1 1/2 teaspoonsbakingpowder

1 1/2 teaspoonsbaking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 largeeggs

1 cup mashed ripe bananas(about 2 medium sized bananas)

1 cup (240 ml) warm water

1/2 cup (120 ml) milk

1/2 cup (120 ml) corn, safflower or canola oil(or other flavorless oil)

1 1/2 teaspoons purevanillaextract

Chocolate GanacheFrosting:

8 ounces (227 grams)semisweet or bittersweet chocolate, cut into small pieces

3/4 cup (180 ml) heavy whippingcream

1tablespoon(14 grams) unsaltedbutter

Chocolate Banana Cake:Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C) and place rack in the center of the oven. Butter, or spray with a non stick vegetable spray, a 9 x 13 inch (23 x 33 cm) pan. Set aside.
In a large bowl whisk together the sugar,flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
In another large bowl, whisk together the eggs, mashed bananas, water, milk, oil, and vanilla extract. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir, or whisk, until combined. You will notice that the batter is quite thin. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 35 to40 minutesor until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
Remove from oven and let cool on a wire rack. When completely cooled, frost with the Ganache.

Ganache:Place the chopped chocolate in a medium sized stainless steel, or heatproof bowl. Set aside. Heat the cream and butter in a medium sized saucepan over medium heat (can also be heated in the microwave). Bring just to a boil. Immediately pour the boiling cream over the chocolate and allow to stand for 5 minutes. Stir until smooth. When Ganache has completely cooled, beat until soft and fluffy (I use a wire whisk). Then spread the frosting on top of the cake. Can garnish with dried banana chips

how to make your own meatballs:

ingredients:

250gm minced beef
1 egg
chopped onion
flour-sikit je
oil to fry
bread crump
salt and pepper

instructions:

mix all ingreadients, shape them into balls..

how to make the cream sauce:
ingredients:

100ml cream
200ml beef stock
chinese soya sauce
1 tbsp white flour
salt, white pepper

instructions:

swirl the boiling water or beef stock in a pan.
add cream and thicken with white flour if preferred.
season well with salt and pepper.
serve the meatballs with the sauce, freshly boiled potatoes, uncooked lingonberry jam and salad.

i have made this a month ago i think. . So now it is a best time to update. perhaps the internet line would help otherwise there is no 'gambar' lah kan..

here are the steps how to make pavlova. All i can say, it is so easy to make it. Tapi dengan syarat we have to patuh dengan pantang larangnya okey :)

ingredients

-4 large ( size A) eggs at room temperature, separated (asingkan the yolk from the white)
-1 cup caster sugar (gula halus)-
-3 teaspoons cornflour
-1 tbsp (20 mls) white vinegar

steps!!

4 large eggs white. jangan ada setitik pun egg yolk ok

beat them up until soft and firm peak. add sugar one of the time okey

nak tahu dah cukup kembang, when kita telangkupkan, maringue tu tak jatuh. i have tried, trust me memang tak jatuh. :) then, fold kan corn flour and vinegar

you might have baking paper to bake this maringue. a round sketch might help you to shape the maringue.

see. bake them around 50 minutes under 150-160 degree celcius.

for garnish, whip cream + strawberries or any kind of fruit you want :)

Its is not to late to wish everybody selamat hari raya. kan kan,,since bulan syawal pun sebulan kan..
btw,,,i love raya, raya is not the only time for us to celebrate our big day after a month of fasting but its also a time to kumpul ramai-ramai and cherish the day..this year after a big battling(haha) to decide where to kumpul, and after a personal talk between mothers so our big family which included maklong, makngah atih and semua menantu masing decided to beraya at my house..since kami semua dah tak ada atuk and nenek belah mak..

so since my house jadi tempat kumpul, my family la the busy one especially kemas rumah. two days , 3 days actually before raya me, mak and mirah has started kemas-kemas apa yang patut. keluarkan pinggan mangkuk siap-siap and whatnot.. fuuhh,,penat.
a day before raya, semua dah datang, penuh satu rumah. so we bergotong royong masak-masak apa yang patut.))

Happy eid to all muslims..have a blast n may Allah grant you happiness and blessing. tahun ini saya beraya beramai-ramai dengan sedara mara. BEST..yang paling best rasa sangat ~~raya~~ kemenangan sebab bulan puasa ni banyak sangat dugaannya dan yang paling best dapat buat terawih walaupun ada yang terlepas. Ramadhan tahun ini yang paling best, sangat terasa. Apa-apa pun selamat hari raya la kat semua. Esok balik rumah from peneng. weehoo!! Ahad balik kl..oh..what a life..memang full la raya kali ni. Belum cerita before raya lagi. Hari raya pertama lagi la. Orang nak ambil gambar kat depan aku duk sibuk masak puding kat dapur. Alrite, cakap banyak tak guna. tengok gambar k..:))

kuih raya yang sekejap je dah licin dan kerepek(wajib ada) abaikan muka ku yang berminyak sebab adoiaiii..memang tak menang tangan melayan tetamu.sampai tak sempat makan..makan pun bila dan pergi beraya rumah sedare mara and makan sikit je beriani kambing mak buat..ahh kempunan.......

	On 19th of March 2010, Zarith Nadhira went into coma for 2 months due to a mild asthma. Initially she was admitted at Darul Ehsan Medical Centre Shah Alam, subsequently referred to Subang Jaya Medical Centre, was admitted in ICU. Alhamdulillah she woke up from coma but was unable to speak or communicate with her parents, relatives & friends. She needs to be fed through a tube at her lower abdomen. Her hands & legs were stiff until today and she needs further medical treatment from specialists at University Hospital. Her diagnosis is Hypoxic Ischaemic Encephalopathy, in simple explanation : brain injury due to lack of oxygen because she had difficulty breathing. Hospital cost for the treatment at Subang Jaya Medical Centre came about RM80,000.00 not to include the cost at DEMC and later some other cost incurred at Sunway Hospital. This time her follow up treatment at Hospital University require intrathecal medications for her spastic episodes which would involve 1) EDM Lumber Drainage Kit, Qty 1 costing RM900.00 per unit 2) IT Baclofen test doses 1ml/vial (50mcg/ml) Qty 3 costing RM115.00 per unit 3)Intrathecal Drug Delivery Package i.e Synchromed Programmable Pump, Two piece catheter kit, Tunnel rod Qty 1 costing RM45,000.00 4)IT Baclofen 20ml/vial (500mcg/ml) Qty 1-2 vials /mth costing RM670 per unit This time the cost would be about RM47,000.00 excluding hospital fees. The day is still fresh in my mind. The sights, sounds, excitement, and feelings are all still there as if they will never leave. This date is not just any ordinary date. February 29, 2010 was the date that I can see myself and also other things in a very different prospective. It’s all started when I longing for a best shoes for me to wear. For ages I always wanted to have comfortable shoes, flat, stylist yet fashionable and also easy to rematch with all of my outfit. Ever since I was still a little girl I always craving for a 3 inch shoes like all the fashionistas wear out there and to be honest I already own them. However, I found that the side effect of wearing high heel has affected me in several ways especially my back. It’s totally killing me. For that reason, I got to find ways to deal with it. In a split second, crocs shoes is definitely for me. The experiences looking for just a pair of shoes has taught me to be a determination person, being a passionate person and also being a innovative person to deal with a problem.
“Get up!”, exclaimed my friend as she slammed her fist on my bedroom door. Little did she know I was already awake and getting ready. I grabbed my handbag and headed out the door. Lynn, my friend had already waited for me outside. So that day I decided to go shopping to buy that shoes. The day before, I had googled on crocs shoes pattern and I decided to buy Malindi. There were several plans I had assigned. First, I had called Crocs Outlet at Mid Valley Megamall and asking them for that pattern. However, the pattern was already sold old. It is totally frustrating. I am not giving up, so I decided to go to the other options. Although, I have faced with some problem at the beginning of my journey, but I am so determined to owns Malindi no matter what happened. Lynn had suggest me to go to KLCC. Without hesitating, I take my step to go there. However, the excitement not last long. After having a walk up and down in the shopping mall, once again my effort is totally meaningless. There was no size 7 for me.
I wanted to cry, but the tears was not coming out. My friend advised me to stay calmed. There must be another way out. I wanted to go to another place and the place would be Pavillion which is the nearest place to KLCC. Since there was no any other transportation except cab, so we decided to get a cab. Nevertheless, the cab driver was not being considerate with us at all. He asked us to pay RM10 for only five minutes ride. “I rather to take a walk than pay him that much money. That is totally ridiculous’, Lynn said in a tired voice. There was a long silence. ‘No, I will pay. You wait for me here’. I said and go to the inconsiderate taxi driver. By not being regret to spend much money, my aim is my first priority right now. I know maybe for some people, buy a shoes is not such a big deal, but for me it is serious. Sometimes, I wonder why some people wear squishy shoes and some wear pointy shoes which my hurt their feet. I prefer the best, because when they walk on you, it feels squishy on my surfaces. So maybe that is why I am longing something that is good for me. I am passionate kind of person, so I am ready to do what it takes to accomplish my goal.
Later that day, the watch on my arm struck an hour. It was five o’clock in the evening. Still, I could not find my mysterious shoes . Lynn already fed up with me. With a sad voice I said to her, ‘Lynn, maybe Malindi is just not for me anymore. I want to quit.’ Lynn nodded her head and pull my arm and drag me to a ‘ladies shopping heaven’ which a ladies wear shop. I had bought a women cardigans and also two women casual shirts. Even though, at the end of the day I couldn't buy Malindi but at least I had bought few things instead of only a pair of shoes. I found that I am more happier than before and assumed that there must be a good reason and a desirable qualities behind it.
The time passed, Lynn and I went home. There was nothing else to be done that night after a frustrated day out. I went back up to bed and lay still under the familiar covers. I started to reflect back all the experiences that I got that day and I truly believe that in the end my persistence was paid off. As a 20 years old teenagers, I could see that I am constantly fighting to the best and the brighter, I must go above and beyond all barriers and expectation if I want to achieve my goal. My own fighting was not about to find that shoes only but it is how I deal with the situation and feels the satisfaction when I am able to confront with my own desire. Finally I know that through all the persistence I am now had becoming a determined person, yet so passionate to something and also being a person that able to be such a innovative person to deal with obstacle.
