Told you I’d be back, just had to shore some ish up, yanahmean?

First off, I’ve got some new Lupe for ya’ll, called Fire, featuring a good, well known Jimi sample. Someone called me and told me about this, and knowing Lupe’s Nasir Jones-like track record of picking beats up to this point, needless to say I was a bit skeptical. Well, no need for that, the sample was pulled off well IMO, and the song comes out great. It’s the typical Lupe lyrical barrage, intricate, head-scratching, raw. Click the pic, hear the track:

First Up, the Timberland desert Chukka. In three colorways, they’re not marked very substantially, but the design is simple and the colors clean. Of the three two (shown) are suede, with the final installment in a premium leather.

Mm mm good.

Next up are the Visvim Trekkers and Folks models. They’re a lot louder than anything I’ve ever seen Visvim do, but that isn’t a bad thing in my opinion. They were released in the COMMES des Garcons Alive Mag store, so I take it they’re only available there, I haven’t been able to come up with any other details, and no word on the damage attached, but if you can make it out to the shop, these are a must-cop.

The last joint isn’t actually gear, but it’s dope to me. It’s a Barcelona chair, inspired by the Loewe Amazona handbag. Back in the 70s, this bag was kind of groundbreaking. It was an all-day, soft leather carry bag. The bag influenced the chair, clearly. Both are dope, I’d only want one. Haven’t got up the nerve to buy a duffle/purse/murse yet. Just sayin’.

Newfound ability to post fully from nearly anywhere (except work, cuz we’re still NOT on the wi-fi train)

but besides that, I can post from home anytime, which is something  I couldn’t even do with my old lappy.

I’m gonna have a bunch of videos, a bunch of Long Weekend info, a bunch of pictures, just a bunch of ill stuff, as was the case a short time ago, except this time, it’ll be posted frequently and in a timely manner. DOPE!

I honestly just haven’t had time for this jawn in a minute. I’ve been writing, reading, loving, fighting, hobbling, sleeping, pill popping, making appointments, kicking A’s and taking names. Things are on the ups, though, that’s for daggone sure. I’ve got a lot of great things in place, and, with any luck,  some of those things will be popping up here for all to….. enjoy.

Remember way back when, when i had a fashion update ay’day?

That’s deaded, waaaay too much for me. it started to become borderline distasteful to me. now? We got one for you once a week. from now on, I’ll take the best fashion find from each day, but since I just decided this, it’s a bunch from today, courtesy of HypeBeast, which they won’t all come from.

First up is the Medicom Toy Exhibition. They laid out it out very minimal, and they had their full arsenal on display, though there were many a bearbrick, they did well not to limit the display to our small round-faced buds.

Next up is the Nike jordan IV, in Red and Blue. I gotta have both, just me personally. They’re bound to be a big hit, so whenever these joints drop my ankle better be 100%, cuz I may have to stomp me a fellow size twelve rocker. Just sayin’.

Next is the Lasonic iPod Boombox i931. It takes an ipod, and has a battery option to rock a la Radio raheem. Coming out over at honeyee, in black and white.

Aaaaaaaaand finally, the obligatory G-shock, this one is a collab with the Brooklyn Circus. Swayt.

I was speaking to michelle on an upward incline, while sufficiently wigged out on perscription pain meds (THUG LYFE) and she asked me what the hell I wanted to make of myself, only in much kinder words.

A Lil’ backstory on Chelle, she’s a huge fan of Jamaica Kincaid and Tracy Chapman, who, after this conversation we had, I feel alot closer to somehow, which has been the catalyst for a renewed interest in their respective works (I had always checked for them on some levels, but now it’s gettin’ heavy as heaven for the two of ‘em.)

Jamaica and Tracy, and Ms.(Mz.?) Ani diFranco both feel that they need to be doing whatever it is they’re doing, to fulfill themselves, even moreso, to live. How many of us have a conviction that deep about anyone or anything? Is it crazy to anyone that i feel that way about music, and I’ve yet to put out a single?

Me and Lee had a BBM convo like a week and a half ago, and sparing the gory details, we decided that people need to have someone tell them that they should hold themselves in higher regard than they do, that people should care enough to care, if that makes sense. We both feel, from I gleaned, that life for either of us without being the cause of some change in the world, great or small, is time on earth squandered, air better breathed by someone else. but are we buggin’ out about this? Should we just chill and pay bills, and do what we can on the side? WTF?

Have you ever thought of yourself in the future? Have any of you ever had multiple, interchangeable visions of the future you? I haven’t. I only see myself pursuing one end. is that confirmation, or tunnel vision? Knowing all the risks, the rewards, the odds, the pitfalls and dangers and still wanting it just as much if not moreso, is that patience, or foolish ambition?
