Veteran’s Day 11-11-11

We would like to say Thank You to everyone who has served in the military, not only in the past, but those who are currently serving as well. We enjoy the liberties and freedom of this great nation because of the sacrifice of a few. And we pray for a safe return to all those currently overseas.

Veteran’s Day Special

Military families receive a family session for just $11 ($100 value) when you call by Friday, November 11, 2011. You may use this session anytime in the next 12 months, and may include immediate and/or extended family.

Also, share this with others to receive a FREE 5×7 print of your soldier in uniform.

For non-military families, reserve your session by Friday, November 11, 2011 and we will donate $89 of the $100 session fee to the Children of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund.

What an amazing day to photograph outside! After all the heat we have had in the last few weeks, I am enjoying being outside!

Also, I do enjoy seeing people again for another child’s senior photos. Kiersten was fun to photograph and brought her dog, Kiara – so cute! A great example of how accessories can add to a session. We added a headband, a hat, and a scarf to her Black on Black session. It really add different looks all in one session. We did go on location to the Capital and Wilderness Ridge. Big thanks to older sister, Keisha, for helping at Wilderness Ridge (you are awesome!). Enjoy!

How are you 1 already? You are so big and so cute! Great outfits as usual, and we had our work cut out for us trying to keep Joslyn in front of the camera since she is VERY mobile now. She was dancing to the music, so much fun. But sad that we don’t get to see you as often now. Thanks for a great year!

What a great morning for a session! Can it be 70 degrees until it snows? I really enjoyed working with Colton for his sessions. A quick smile and wit makes the session pass way too quickly. He also brought his girlfriend, Lindsey, whom we hope to see soon for her senior sessions. Thanks for a great time!

Drew’s dad told me that he probably would be by himself for the sessions – that he would do better if dad wasn’t there. So I thought at first that maybe it would be a difficult session. But Drew has a great smile and is so easy going. It’s alot to worry about – senior photos. I mean, you are going to have these for the rest of your life, so the pressure’s on. What you have to realize is, you just have to be yourself and RELAX. Just have fun with it. How often do you get all the attention on you? Enjoy it.

Kyle – East 2012

Sometimes 8 am is too early. Kyle and I were both feeling that way on the morning of his senior sessions. But we managed. More than managed. We got some cool images of him at Wilderness Ridge and also downtown with his baseball gear. It is so much fun to work with sports stuff in a different setting. Keeps it fresh. Love, love, love the hair! No matter how hard you try, you can’t make a baby’s hair do this. It’s completely natural. Tyson is such a happy baby and it just makes you smile when he smiles. He is already so mobile that it was a workout for mom and me to keep him in front of the camera. So CUTE!!!

I think it’s funny that I picked all serious images from Chas’ sessions….he has a really nice smile too! He really did a great job – and I think he might have enjoyed it just a little!

I know that not all guys are super excited about having their senior photos taken, but let me offer my argument about why you should grin and bear it. 1) Mom will leave you alone because you had them taken. 2) You will probably end up with a few that you like. 3) There will be several that the girls like. I promise!

Mr. Caden! Can’t believe you are 1 already – Happy Birthday! I think I feel this way about all of our baby clients, but it always amazes me that it’s time for their next session. It just re-emphasizes to me how fast time passes by; an important reminder to stop and appreciate what we’ve been given. It’s also an opportunity to take some time to remember the important milestones in our lives by being photographed, so you’ll never forget just how cute your kids were or grandma’s smile.

We did a Dynamic Duo session at Wyuka for Margaret and Jessica. A Dynamic Duo session is 2 friends, 1 session for the same price as a regular session. You will have similar poses, but you save some money. And everyone likes to save money! I had fun with the two of them together, you can help each other smile, and it’s a little less scary when you have a friend there. We got some great images of Margaret and Jessica. Thanks, ladies!
