I have been doing some research and signed up for Google+. I think it has great potential because it can link a lot of what you are doing online. For example, my Picasa Web Album is now linked up with my Purse Pattern News blog.

Charlie's Aunt - Vintage Inspired Bag Patterns from Australia

We have just added to our vintage inspired line of Charlie's Aunt Bag Patterns with the addition of the Melford Messenger ( based on a 1940's ARP wardens' bag), the Gershwin & Ellington Clutch Bag (1930's clutch bag), and the Home Guard Clutch (1940's inspired clutch with military styling). Instructions are clear for these patterns and pattern pieces are included.

Beaded Tassels/Zipper Pulls

We now have beaded tassels, which is my favorite thing to use for zipper pulls when I make handbags! These tassels are 3" long and have 1 large bead and 2 smaller beads, as well as double tassels. The 4 colors that we have are Daffodil, Jungle Green, Sage Green, and a multi-color tassel of Monterrey Red/Barley/Mandala Brown (See photo below).

The new Candice bag pattern by Lazy Girl Designs has been shipped and is on the way to PursePatterns.com! This is a unique organizational bag but without the bulk and weight of a large tote. There is a convenient front slant pocket and "fat pockets" inside that have a faux gusset that can be made to fit your IPAD, E-Reader, etc., along with a secure top zipper.

We just received 2 bags patterns from Bananafana that have instructions for decorative flowers on the front and they rock!
The Pearl Bag pattern by Jess Goldman is a vintage style purse with double handles, a front flap, and unique flower designs (rosettes) on the front. Finished size is 16" W x 18" H x 6 1/2".

The La Fleur bag pattern by Jess Goldman is a unique purse pattern with instructions for alternative double handles with beading, lots of pockets inside, and a large decorative flower design on the front. Finished size is 17 1/2" W x 27" H (with handles) x 8 1/2" D.

We apologize for our site going down this past weekend. We switched to a new server with our host and were assured things would go smoothly and seamlessly but, obviously, they did not:(

We are now back up and loading faster and, on the bright side, we just got in the new Baggalista from StudioKat Designs! We love her purse patterns and the Baggalista has lots of features that I really like in a purse including hands free carrying options and lots of organization without the bag being hugh and bulky! There are also instructions for making this bag with Soft & Stable By Annie which makes a really good interfacing for all your handcrafted purses.
