So, I Have Been Diagnosed With Fibromyalgia

I have been having chronic headaches ever since I got hypothyroidism a few years ago. I also have had body aches, chronic fatigue, and a host of other crap that I have complained about to my doctor for a few years now.

I would return to my doctor and tell her about this stuff and that I didn't think my thyroid medicine was working because I didn't feel any better, and she would run blood tests and check my thyroid and tell me it was looking fine. She tried a couple of drugs on me that didn't do shit for my headaches, and then told me she had done all she could do and that I would have to learn to live with it.

And I did for a couple of years until I just couldn't fucking take it anymore and I returned this April and begged her to do something-anything, and she decided to send me to a pain clinic. There they diagnosed me with fibromyalgia (which they declined to tell me about) along with chronic myofascial pain (which they DID tell me about) and they began a series of nerve block injections in my head and gave me some more pills that didn't work.The injections hurt like hell but it was much better than the headaches, but unfortunately they shots would last only about 2 1/2 to 3 weeks.

So the pain clinic sent me to another pain clinic to get botox shots in my head and face because botox supposedly works better, but after I got there the doctor decided against botox, and instead prescribed an anti-seizure drug called Topamax and more nerve block injections in my head. It was around about this time that I decided to check my medical records online and found out I had been diagnosed with fibromyalgia as well back in April (it was now July). Why they didn't tell me this shit I have no clue. Maybe they were waiting for my regular doctor to tell me?

The Topamax made me sick to my stomach all the time so I asked to be taken off of it, and I also informed this pain doctor about the fibromyalgia diagnosis. So they took me off the Topamax and prescribed another anti-seizure drug called Neurontin which so far seems to be helping although I feel drowsy and drugged up all the time. I am not taking the full dose yet as you have to build up a tolerance to it, but I can tell when this shit wears off because I hurt everywhere!

My regular doctor had been treating all my symptoms separately (while secretly wondering if I was a hypochondriac-I could tell), but they ended up all being symptoms of fibromyalgia. All I know is the shit hurts and you don't want it-trust me.

So now my life consists of a never ending list of doctor appointments, injections in my head, whirlpool baths at the pain clinic, physical therapy appointments, exercises to help with my head, neck, and back, pills, headaches, and muscle pain, and trying to learn everything I can about both of these conditions-fibromyalgia and chronic myofascial pain.

Some days I hurt so bad I just find a spot that doesn't hurt too much and lie there as long as I can. And some days I don't hurt as much and I actually manage to get something done. I am trying to accept that I can't do everything that needs to be done all at once, and tying to not let it bother me when I have to let things go until I feel better. Some days I do better at that than other days too.

I never really believed in fibromyalgia until I got it, but hell I never believed a thyroid could make you fat either until I got hypothyroidism. But trust me-this shit will make a believer out of you real quick. In fact, I found out that a lot of people who get hypothyroidism also get fibromyalgia.

Anywho, this is all new to me (the diagnosis, not the pain), and even though I am disappointed to have fibromyalgia I admit that I am somewhat relieved to be able to put a name to myriad list of aches, pains, and symptoms. And relieved that I am not a hypochondriac after all. It's also a relief to finally start receiving some kind of treatment instead of just sitting around "living with it". I do wish it didn't hurt so much though. I am going to do my best to not let it get the best of me by doing what ever is in my power to help myself.

Even Phone Porn Scammers Love Their Mothers

I got a text from someone I don't know with nasty language and a phone number that made me believe it was some kind of porn scammer. I asked them not to call again.

On Dec. 31st he texted me again anyway. Here is the conversation:

Him:
His phone number along with the words "Cum roll up"

Me:
Your mother loves it up her ass.

Him:
Excuse you nigga got my mom fuck up. What fuck I am lose number. Thanks peace and love

Me:
Hey you messaged me. I didn't message you. It's not my fault your mother is a whore either. Don't message people you don't know. I could be a cop for all you know.

I then used an app to find out the name of the person who the phone belongs to and his location and I filed a complaint with the FTC. I then messaged him again and called him by name and told him I just filed a complaint with the FTC because he texted me after I asked him not to.

Evidently I Expect A Tad Bit Too Much Out Of The Omaha Police Department

Early this morning around 4:45 A.M. or so (it was still dark out) some guy got on my porch and started beating on the door. It woke me up out of a sound sleep. He started leaning into the door like trying to open it and wiggling the door knob and shit. Then I heard him crying (weeping actually) and heard him say "Please be here." Then he beat on the door some more.

The dude wasn't going to go away so I ducked down and walked to find my cell phone and called the po-po and whispered into it what was going on and they told me to hide in a locked room and wait for the cops. So I did and this guy beat and banged and cryed and shit until they got here.

They called me and told me to go to my door and talk to the cops. I head that way and I can hear the cop asking the dude "You don't know who lives here?" I open the door and they ask me if I know the guy and I say no. He won't look at me actually but I can see him from the side and no one I know who is a guy wears skin tight skinny jeans.

Like I said he won't look at me and is on his phone saying "I am trying to find you!". They ask me if I am Briana and I say "Never heard of her. I just want him out of here". So they escort the dude to the end of my fucking driveway. THE END OF MY FUCKING DRIVEWAY CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT SHIT? I MEAN SERIOUSLY CAN'T THEY CART HIS ASS A BIT FARTHER OFF?

So they take him to the end of my driveway and let his ass go and he stands there a bit then wanders off down the street. So if all I can get is a weird guy on my property escorted only to THE END OF MY FUCKING DRIVEWAY then that's it I have had it and I am LOADING MY FUCKING GUN AND KEEPING IT WHERE I CAN REACH IT FROM FUCKING NOW ON. Knock on my door again and try to get in and I will give your ass something to really cry about next time weird fucking guy!

So he leaves and I am awake the rest of the night. I sit up marveling at the bare minimum that the Omaha Police Department did to get the guy the hell away from my house.

Hi, me again, hee hee. This Etsy family has been hit with tragedy after tragedy this year. When I read it it tore my heart out and I immediately felt compelled to help. The best way for me explain what has happened is probably to just copy and paste the OP who made the thread, so here goes:

We have a fellow Statteam member who is in dire need of our help.

Most of you know Cynthia Nemeth of CLeas Beadworks.
In the past year Cynthia has lost her husband to cancer, a few months
later her son Brandon was in a horrific car accident. He was hit by a
careless driver. His passenger and friend was killed, Brandon's injuries
were so severe they weren't sure if he would survive. Thank goodness
he did but he is still recovering from his injuries and still suffers with
seizures because of his brain injuries. In August Cynthia suffered a
heart attack and has been in the hospital since. A couple weeks ago she
went through bypass surgery, she is recovering slowly and the doctors feel
she will hopefully have a full recovery with time.
Brandon lost his job and 2 months ago they lost their apartment. Brandon
has been living in a shelter since then. He is an amazing young man who
never complains about his situation, he just takes care of his Mom and keeps
on trying. He is getting help applying for Disability but as we know the wheels
turn slowly on such things. He is working hard to find an apartment to bring
his Mom home to, hopefully before Thanksgiving.

and raise some money to help these two wonderful people. The BNS will feature

After years of listening to this seller bitch, moan, and complain in the Etsy forum about how Etsy treats it's customers (sellers) and going on and on about how if she treated her customers as Etsy did she would be out of business I am now 100% convinced that SurrenderDorothy simply loved the sound of her own voice. I say "loved" and not "loves" because if I remember correctly she has been perma-muted (something that I had nothing to do with as I wasn't even a member of Etsy at the time it happened).

What convinces me that she simply loved the sound of her own voice? Well let's take a look. When someone states that they would be out of business if they treat their customers the way Etsy does then when I look at that person's feedback I would expect to see exemplary feedback. Now this is just the first few pages of her feedback. And granted some people could have received their items after they left feedback. However IMHO there is NO EXCUSE to just stop communicating with people who have bought from you. I also see that there was a death in her family and I am sorry about that. However there is also a way to put your shop on vacation mode so people can't purchase from it if you are having an emergency.

I mean why let your buyers continue to buy stuff you have no fucking intention of shipping and then let them think maybe it's YOU who was the death in the family considering your refusal to communicate? Why put people through this unnecessarily? Why not just put your shop on vacation mode until you feel like taking care of it?

And this recent death in the family cannot be the only problem with this shop as if you page back through her feedback you will see that people not getting what they bought, and being made to file a dispute to get their money back, and the seller's refusal to communicate far predates this recent death in the family. It goes way, way back.

So back to being put out of business for treating customers the way Etsy treats theirs-what is really so different about the two? Etsy does exactly what the hell they want to even if it's not fair, and if they don't feel like fucking with you they just ignore you. And so does this seller. She ships whenever the hell she feels like it, gets back to you whenever the hell she feels like it, and if she doesn't feel like it then she just refuses to communicate. She ignores her customers just as Etsy does their's. None of this is any more fair to her customers than when Etsy does it to theirs IMHO. So you might say when you point a finger at someone else four point back at you and that is the case here IMHO.

Now there are those who believe that when I was on Etsy I was there with the hidden agenda to ruin seller's lives. This was not the case. For one thing I didn't know any of these people before I got to Etsy and the forum, so why would I have a hidden agenda against them?

However I will agree that once I got there I quickly tired of listening to some of these people drone on and on day after FUCKING day about how they were so fucking mistreated by Etsy and blah blah blah. And what I WILL confess to is that I greatly enjoyed interrupting their little flow they had going on upon occasion, and this is what I meant when someone asked me why I did some of the stuff I did and I replied "Because I could".

It had nothing to do with trying to ruin their reputation, or get them muted, or getting their shops shut down. Many of them managed to this quite well on their own. And this seller is no exception. She got herself muted and her store feedback and/or reputation is what it is due to her own damn fault. Except her shop is still there, and Etsy is still there-even though in a lot of people's opinions they both suck at what they do.

I would say her treatment by Etsy has been fair-considering. Her treatment by Etsy is a hell of a lot more fair than SurrenderDorothy's treatment of her own customer's IMHO because SurrenderDorothy can leave Etsy any fucking time she gets tired of Etsy's treatment. But she hasn't-her ass is still planted right there. And it's my belief that if Etsy said "Hey, SurrenderDorothy, come on back to the forum!" she'd be there so fast she'd probably pass herself getting there. In the meantime she puts her customers through hell trying to get what they ordered or there money back and more times than not just refusing to communicate to them all. You tell me which is more fair.

I always knew she was full of hot air because IMHO anyone who has drone on and on and create drama all the time is probably doing it to take attention off of something else. Like how much they suck at being a seller for instance.

I've never seen so much tie dye, white hair, and potbellies in one location before. Ok, I'll cop to contributing to the white hair and potbellies, but we didn't sport any tie dye.

It looked like an AARP convention and I was terrified some old bat might swing her Depends around her finger and toss them at the band.

Judging from the people who climbed over us several times to get out a lot of old, weak bladders gave the bathrooms a good workout.

One young girl with humongous boobs started dancing in the aisle and a theater matron went nose to nose with her telling her she had to sit down. I suspect it was boob envy as this girl was about the only person there with tits still above her belly button.

Toward the end some old geezers in front of the stage rebelled and decided to dance anyway, while a few braver souls banged on the stage, and another guy played air guitar. They got by with it as they passed the saggy boobs test and the rather matronly theater matron decided she wasn't walking that fucking far to tell people to stop it.

Steely Dan isn't really my thing although I know some of their songs. My husband is the big Steely Dan fan. The things you do for love.

The Medical Mishaps Of My Big Toe: Part Three

It seems the sad, tragic story of my big toe continues on. This time I had my big toe toenail permanently removed. On both feet.

I had the left one removed a couple of months ago and it is already healed. It appears to be growing another toenail though, or some hard covering of some sort. If it turns out to be another toenail I am going to have it removed again.

Getting them removed was the best thing I ever did. The first one did not hurt at all. I didn't even take any pain pills for it. The only thing that hurt was a couple of the shots to deaden it, but it wasn't excruciating the way some people claim it is (although everyone has a different threshold of pain I suppose).

The second one on the right I had done this past Friday. The shots left little pin-point bruises this time but the toenail removal itself didn't hurt. Both times my doctor gave me lorazepam to relax before surgery. The lorazepam didn't do anything for pain but it made me really relaxed, and then I came home and slept much of the next two days.

Like I said this didn't hurt very bad at all. I didn't use any pain pills at all when I had the first one taken off and so far this one doesn't hurt very bad either. If I had known it would be so easy and provide so much relief I would have done it decades ago instead of fucking around with an ingrown toenail all these years.

My whole purpose of writing about this is so that if you ever have to have it done to you then maybe you won't be so scared. If I can do it anyone can because I HATE medical procedures and I specifically HATE pain! If you are tired of having an ingrown toenail get it removed because it will be the best thing you ever did for yourself. Trust me on that.

So my blog has pretty much been tossed by the wayside lately. I admit it is no longer a big priority in the big scheme of things to do in my life lately.

My thyroid went wacko and I haven't felt very good since. I have had several foot operations, a bad mammogram and a breast biopsy, and also an ovarian tumor and my right ovary removed.

As I said before on another blog post my tumor was found while looking at my liver to see if anything is wrong with it. Once the tumor was found my liver sort of got tossed to the wayside and I am just now getting back to finding out what is wrong with it. One thing I do know is that it has nothing to do with drinking because I don't drink enough for it to be significant. By not significant I mean a glass of wine or two in a year and some years no alcohol at all. All I know right now is that it's readings are elevated. So I am starting the process now of finding out what is wrong with it. This will probably mean a shit-load more of tests and crap of which I am already sick to death of.

So blogging has taken a low priority for me lately what with going through all this medical shit. Also I feel like crap a lot due to my thyroid condition making me feel real tired all the time. My thyroid condition has also caused me to gain a whole lot of weight and this coming year I should make exercise a priority IMHO. If I ever stop chopping my feet all to hell I might just get to doing some exercise.

I have visited a couple of interesting places (at least to me anyway) and just cannot get inspired at all to blog about it. Mainly because it is a lot of pictures and I don't feel like screwing with it getting them posted. Maybe I will still get it posted one day soon when I am in the mood.

Right now I don't plan on completely giving up my blog but neither do I plan making it a priority right now either. I guess once you get lucky that a tumor doesn't turn out to be cancerous you realize there are lots of things in life that could be missed and out of a list of 100 a blog comes in about number 358 IMHO. I do plan on making some more jewelry in the future though so I know I will at least blog about that.

Anywho just wanted to let you know what I have been up to lately. And let you know there is no need to keep suffering for years from an ingrown toenail so if you have one that hurts don't be afraid to have it taken off. I have some pics of my toenail removal and maybe I can get them posted one day soon.

The Omaha Summer Arts Festival 2013

This year's Summer Arts Festival was much more enjoyable than last year's. Mainly because the weather was in the 70's instead of in the middle of a heat wave like last year. I think it must have been 102 in the shade last year, yuck! This year it rained some but we checked the weather on the news and managed to go on a day with no rain. The last day of the festival was a down pour practically all day but people still came out.

First we took a gallop around all the artist booths and made our purchases. This year I did not buy one thing for myself. My husband however bought a couple of art sculptures from Infinity Art Glass. If you click the word "gallery", then "sculptures", and then "transparent eternity"on the left column you will see what he got. He got the two eternity or infinity sculptures on the end (we got both of ours in blue).

The Omaha Public Library always has a tent at the Summer Arts Festival as well but this year their humongous tent was reduced to a really small size due to lack of volunteers. This was sad because I usually buy a bag or two of books here each year but this year they did not have as many displayed to choose from. Maybe I should think about volunteering next year. I have had a library card for years but have never used it because I just buy books at book stores and online. For all I know my card may not even be any good anymore.

I am a mother to a healthy boy with plenty of milk. I did some research and the benefits of human milk are amazing! It seemed such a waste to throw it out so I decided to make soap out of it. My whole family is using it and we love it. They have breast milk yogurt, breast milk cheese and even breast milk ICE CREAM! So why not breast milk SOAP!?
My milk is stored in deep freezer.

That is all I felt like looking up to state my case. What case is that you ask? The case of a handmade seller turned fuckwit promoter for resellers on a handmade site.

Interspersed in her twitter feed are legitimate handmade sellers. Some who appear to be new and probably don't know any better. Some that appear to be paying to get promoted so they can get some sales.

I wonder if these people know that the person who is tweeting their legitimate handmade items for money is also tweeting reseller crap that is for sale on the same handmade site they are on? I think people ought to know so that is why I made this blog post. I hate to see someone taking advantage of people while at the same time fucking them over.

Then to top it off not only is she being paid to tweet reseller crap on Etsy along with being paid to tweet legitimate handmade on Etsy, but in her closed shop on Etsy she makes sure she leaves a link to her fiverr account so people will click it and follow it and hopefully pay for her to tweet their stuff (are people allowed to use their Etsy account in this manner?). Imagine that-all it takes is 5 bucks for some people to go from legitimate handmade seller to someone who will tweet anything, and I do mean ANY FUCKING THING even if it fucks over handmade sellers (some of whom were probably ARE probably her friends).

Share this story if you like. Don't get taken advantage of and fucked over at the same time by people like this.

Another Bracelet That I Made

I didn't take very good pictures of it however. But that's OK because I'm wearing it, not selling it. This one is purple.

You may have noticed that I kinked this one. That is because I had problems with one crimp cover and had to take it off and put another one on. I hate the damn things. The bracelet looks OK on though so I can live with it.

This time I also used these little horseshoe shaped things which I forget the name of and which I took a very blurry picture of. It has a hole on either side of it and you loop your string through it and it makes it stronger. I marked one to show how you thread it through. You can see my marks better if you click the pictures.

It isn't perfect but it's still a pretty bracelet IMHO.
