The results from the deep conditioning I did last week was awesome, fluffy felt and looked better. For my Leave-in, I used curl junkies smoothing lotion mixed with Giovanni's Frizz be gone serum. A friend of mine was kind enough to send me the leave-in and i'm so grateful she did because its the best leave-in EVER. It leaves fluffy well moisturised, silky and soft.

I decided to let my hair breathe for a week after I deep conditioned. O before I forget, I still do not blow dry fluffy because the heat in Abuja is intense and I feel like fluffy hates being blow dried (I do not even own a hand dryer).

Yikes I thought I posted this already.

I posted a welcome back video earlier on this week and I was super excited. The internet at work is God sent, it literally took me 7 minutes to upload the video. Anywoo I'm really happy i can now post more during my lunch breaks.

Thank you so much for all the support and encouragement. Thank you for sticking by me, being patient and not unfollowing the blog.

O I forgot to mention how much I love my job LOVE IT. I'm actually learning alot and I can officially say I have settled down in Nigeria. YAY

HAIR | Deep conditioner combo

Hi ladies

I have decided to post more about the progress of fluffy ( if you are just joining us, my hair is called fluffy). Last year my goal was to get my hair as healthy as possible because after I dyed fluffy she suffered serious damage.

This year the goal is to retain length and moisturise more. I have never been a fan of moisturising my hair because the idea of applying oil/ grease on my scalp or hair was not working for me.

But I have discovered that if I deep condition my hair properly every week,I hardly have to moisturise during the week. Anywoo I'm talking too much (I apologize).

list of the products I used for my DC this weekend :

Shampoo: Giovanni 50:50 hydration and clarifying shampoo

DC mix :
1tsp | Vatika oil

2TSP | Shea moisture: Organic raw Shea butter : deep treatment masque

1tsp | sapote oil

I like to leave my DC in over night because I get better results that way. Fluffy and I have gone through the trial and error phrase, so I know exactly what works for us.

SKIN | Sticky honey and Banana face mask

I have always been a fan of honey, it's my favorite multipurpose skin and hair care Ingredient. Honey and banana leaves my skin radiant and soft + it's my new go to mask at the moment. The dry weather in Abuja makes my skin appear really dry and dull.

The honey and banana mask can be used on both oily and dry skin types.All you need is half a teaspoon of honey and a small slice of ripe Banana.

Mix the honey and banana until it's smooth. Apply on cleansed skin and leave for 10 minutes. Rinse with warm water and continue with your usual face routine.

If you follow me on twitter you would know I had the most annoying eye infection in the world ALL

THANKS TO CAMP. Anywoo this is the look I wore on my birthday (yesterday). I'm going through

a brown smokey eye phase at the moment ( I think the dry dusty weather has something to do with it).

Its harmattan season (dry season) now in Nigeria, so wearing foundation has been really tricky but I

have fixed that problem by mixing two different kinds of foundations. I mixed Laura Mercier's tinted

moisturiser #dewyfinish with Make Up For Ever's Matt velvet foundation #mattfinish. The combination

is the perfect balance for this kind of weather. I did not bother with a mattifying primer because my skin

is not as oily as it use to be. When it comes to foundation, I advice you change your normal routine as

the climate changes. I have noticed over the years that my skin changes whenever I move to a different

environment, so switching up/adjusting my routine has always been a priority.

SKIN | Egg white mask

Sorry for the lack of posts but I have been busy with NYSC ( Nigerian youth service corps).

I have combination/ oily skin which means I am prone to whiteheads/ blackheads. I'm really oily around

my forehead and nose ( T-zone) and suffer from blackheads all the time. I tried biore pore strips in the

past but I never went back to get more because it was to expensive in my opinion. So decided to try egg

white as an alternative cheap method and so far so good. Egg white mask is natural, gentle and removes

majority of my blackheads.

As much as I like the egg white mask, I dread using the mask because its messy and the smell of egg gets

on my nerves. The egg white mask has to be done really quickly. I advice you have all the items needed

before you apply it.

Method

❀Cleanse face with your usual cleanser.

❀ Separate the yolk from the egg white and place in a small bowl.

❀Whisk the egg white with a fork until fluffy.

❀ Use an old makeup brush to apply the egg white on your face, avoiding the eye area. As you apply the egg white layer,apply a thin layer of tissue paper over the wet egg white.

❀Apply a generous amount of the egg white on the entire face and let it dry a bit before adding another layer. You can add about 4-5 layers concentrating more on your problem areas.

❀Allow the mask air dry or fan dry. As the mask dries, you will feel your skin tighten which is a tad

uncomfortable (this is a temporary feeling).

❀When the mask is completely dry, peel the mask off and your blackheads should come off with it.

❀Wash the residue off with warm water and moisurize.

If your going to try mask, remember that its trial and error. Allow the mask dry completely to get the best

results.

REVIEW| Urban *Decay liquid liner

L-R Gash, Lucky, Smog,Oil slick and Acid rain

Urban Decay liquid liners are highly pigmented, smudge-proof, long wearing but not 100% water

proof in my opinion. The liners come with a fine point applicator but not all the applicators have a fine

tip #annoying. The product dries quick but not "road runner fast" but you have to be quick if you want

to adjust/ clean a mess because when it sets it SETS and you will need to soak a cotton pad with

eye makeup remover to get it off. The finish of the liner is shiny (almost metallic) and its awesome for

people who wear makeup for a long time (9-10 hours wear).I have used the liners as an eyeshadow

base and it works great. The packaging is so cute but not portable like normal tube liners, so carrying

these in a small purse might be a problem.

REVIEW | Maybelline New York E Gel liner

If there is one make up product i'm constantly buying its gel liner (black gel liner).

I discovered the Maybelline eye studio gel liner by accident when I popped into superdrug for supplies.

I bought the liner with low expectations but after using the liner for about a week, I was very impressed.

I have used the gel liner in some of my tutorials and if you noticed, I use it for both top and bottom line.

The pigmentation of the gel liner is excellent. The liner does not melt or fade during the day. I usually

wear make up for about 8 hours and to be really honest it stays still ( No smudging). I have been wearing

the liner since I arrived Nigeria and honestly I still love it. The gel liner comes with a small bristle

brush which i'm not a fan of because its a round top and I like to apply my liner with a pointy brush.

The finish of the liner is smooth and semi matte. I compared the liner with MAC's fluidline and I really

did not see the difference. Another thing I love about the liner is the packaging (feels vintage).

Maybelline eye studio gel liner comes in black, purple,brown and grey.

MAKE UP TIP ❀ To achieve that deep smokey eye, use your gel liner as a base for your eyeshadow.This makes the look intense and long lasting.

Hi everyone

I'm sure your wondering why my last blog post did not have a video tutorial, well the internet in Nigeria

is a tad slow but i'm working on it. At first I cried (No joke) when I was unable to upload a video onto

The other day I popped by Fenwick in Brent cross and as usual I found myself in the beauty corner. I'm

a big fan of body products. I came across Linden leaves bodycare range on #SALE. The brand is a New

Zealand brand that focuses on using the best quality natural ingredients.

I was drawn to the products because of its simple but yet attractive packaging and also it was on SALE

lol.I bagged three of their body oils -Absolute dreams ,in love again and memories. The main oils used in

all the body oils are avocado oil, rosehip oil, Vitamin E oil, sweet almond oil and Apricot kernel oil.

All the oils are infused with different fruits or plants.

Absolute dreams- Is infused with lavender, sandalwood, orange and cedarwood

in love again-Is infused with neroli, vanilla and sandalwood

memories-Is infused with Rose, geranium and ylang ylang.

If you do not like using heavy body products, I recommend these oils because it melts into your skin

without leaving that sticky oily feeling on your skin. It can also be used as a massage oil and bath oil.

GELE | Nigerian head tie

I have accepted my fate>>>>>I HAVE TO LEARN HOW TO TIE GELE LIKE A PRO. At the back of my mind I knew a time would come when a client would request for her gele to be done. About 2 weeks ago I had a client who was visiting from Nigeria. She usually gets her makeup done professionally every time she is going out (trust my Nigerian people)

We are forever on point……Anywoo back to my gist, She asked if I knew how to tie gele and like a mountain goat I said “NO”.

Sometimes I wonder if I have mental issues. Fast-forward to Tuesday (6^th), the same client that got her makeup done for a party booked me AGAIN (How cool is that) for another party she has this Saturday but guess what? She needs her gele done #faints.

Like the sharp QC (QUEENS COLLEGE YES I AM A QC PRODUCT) babe that I am, I started looking for someone to give me a crash course before Saturday. Like magic God sent me an angel. On Wednesday I went to learn how to tie gele and I have to say it was a tad challenging for my skinny arms but I eventually got the hang of the technique/s.

I feel so sorry for my sister and friend because I have been practicing nonstop. I’m a very fast learner when it comes to using my hands thanks to my parents. My mum is very crafty really as long as its art she is GOOD and my dad is an aeronautic engineer the dude can fix almost everything.

I just wanted to share what I have been up to recently with my followers. If I eventually HAVE to tie my client’s gele on Saturday I will post pictures.

HOW TO | Clean brushes

I felt the previous “How to | Clean brushes” post needed to be redone.The first one was all over the place and not pwetty enough for me.

Now to the steps…………………………….

Its very important to clean your makeup brushes regularly because it reduces the risk of infections and breakouts. The way I see it if you cannot wear dirty cloths why would you want to put dirty brushes on your face #simples.

STEP #1 Pour a small amount of antibacterial washing liquid & surgical spirit into a disposable cup. Dilute with warm water from the tap.

STEP #2 Soak the brushes in the solution for about a minute. After a couple of seconds swirl the brushes in the cup (this helps the soap get in between the bristles).

STEP #3 Almost immediately you will notice the solution turn brown. After soaking check to see if the brushes are clean enough. With white bristle brushes, you might need to soak them for slightly longer or massage them gently using the tips of your fingers.

STEP #4 Repeat step #1/2 if your OTT (over the top) like me.

STEP#5 Rinse properly with warm water. Point the brush bristles downwards, this way water will not get into the brush funnel and destroy it.

STEP #6 To maintain the original shape of the brushes, I wrap them in tissue. This makes dry time longer but its worth it.

STEP#7 Dry the brushes over night (I usually wash my brushes at night) but do what makes you happy.

I ♥| MAKE UP FOR EVER lab shine( Star collection)

I love MAKE UP FOR EVER lab shine gloss but then again I love anything MUFE,it’s the perfect gloss + it’s non-sticky, tacky and it does not have that generic lipgloss vanilla scent. The scent is more on the fruity side; in terms of texture the gloss is smooth/thick without the yucky goopy feeling. It has a nice iridescence that’s not super glittery. The star collection I noticed is more on the sheer side, which is perfect for me.The star collection lab shine lasts about 2 hours on me which is OK but not impressive. The only issue I have with them is the price, even though I got mine at the IMATS at a discount, I still think they are expensive for the amount of product you get #myopinion.

Question of the day: How much are you willing to pay for a lipgloss? And do you think the price should match the amount of (oz) you get?

Sooooooooooooo I finally graduated #Phew. I wish words could describe how happy, proud and

grateful I am. I cannot stop staring at my pictures, sometimes I feel like its all a dream but my smile is all

thanks to the Almighty Allah without him and my resuscitation team (my family) I would have quit

school a long long time ago ( Lord knows school is stressful) . God bless my family especially my

Good Morning

I recorded this a day after my graduation (13th July) all that kissing/ lipstick all over my face was trying to make my skin breakout.

The video features what I do 2-3 times a week , I never use the mask and scrub everyday (that will be asking for trouble). My everyday routine is pretty basic (cleanse, tone and moisturise) thats about it. I have combination skin (Oily T-zone which is the forehead/nose/chin and Normal on my cheeks). The products I use are geared towards my own needs. Remember to always check/ask if the products your using on your skin is appropriate especially if you have sensitive skin.
