After 17 years quited from the choir, now I found myself back to one. I've been invited by my daughter ex-teacher to sing in our local choir, and without thinking twice I said, "Sure, it would be nice!". That was three-month ago.

Three-month later, I went to the first practice of this year after a long summer break, and found myself a long list of concert and performance that due until June 2010. It freaked me out. I asked myself, "Will I be able to fulfill the responsability to show up every week since I love to travel so much?", "How about all the vacation we already planned until Summer 2010? Do I have to sacrifice any of them?". Before I could find any of those questions answered, the practice is began. I followed everyone to sing, even though I couldn't really concentrate due to questions that still lingered on my head. We sang for 2 hours, and I can't believe myself that I still be able to sing. It feels so good to be able to express myself through my voice again, I feel....FREE.

Forget about those questions, I think I will just go ahead and enjoy myself for the moment. There are many works wait to be done with the choir, but isn't life is about all but responsability and works. So then, roll up the sleeve, let's sing for this Sunday for the morning mass.

This year, we have an extraordinary August. Generally speaking, we will be lucky if we could have more than 5 non-overcasted day during that month. And now, all we have is the opposite. Bright, sunny day...a little breeze to ease the pain of the heat on our skin. Even my friends were wonder how could I so deliberately wishing for the rain instead of asking for the opposite.

Translation : I start to get sick of all those sunny days, my calla lillies bulbs have to suffer from the drought if I didn't water it at least twice a day. What a waste of water....

By the time this bright days will be gone, according to the weather forecast, we will start to see more precipitation to arrive starting from next week, I suddenly receive an unexpected "presents" from one of the girl in the office - Stomach Flu's virus. Great, now I have to be obediently stay on my bed. Bad side, I am feeling like being hold as a prisoner. Good side, I am not the only one in this situation here, we are having a Flu's outbreak here - ordinary flu, stomach flu, swine flu...you name it. Therefore, whoever being touch by this F creature has to be, so to speak, quarantine.

But as I titled this post, always look at the bright side, I am so greatful that I could find, finally, a little space for myself out of my normal life schedule "school drop off - cooking - school pick up". It's quite good that finally I could, even though a bit painfull, lay back on my puffy pillow and read books that I love.

By the time I wrote this post, I am start to recover - faster than I thought, and so is the weather outside. Today, it feels more like those "normal" autumn day, start to catch the breeze from my window. Hopefully, tomorrow, even though I am kind of sad but I do have other responsibility in life instead of reading all the time, I could start to have a kick on my feet and roll on my wheel as usual.

Parc Hotel is facing the lake where the firework took place, only it's on the higher elevation. 1 hour before the show began, around 9.30, place that was empty when I arrived suddenly filled with people, which made it more difficult for me to move around and to make sure people who sat nearby won't touch my tripod.

Anyway...by midnight, I got home with this picture :) my work is paid off.

This picture I took onboard Costa Fortuna on my way from Rhodes to Dubrovnik on the wall of thr self-service restaurant. I wonder how, Colombus and friends, been able to draw this map of the world without any help from satelite image. And until now I still can't understand how people could build the giant pyramid without any help of cement or any bulldozers. It proofed one thing, the genuis of human being is beyond the wildest imagination one could has.

Last year, we took Regina to the Sion's Conservatory of Music open house. That's, actually, the begining of her journey with her cello - Quincy. Today, she went again to the Sion's Conservatory of Music open house, but this time, she's the one who performed in front of the public.

It's quite....strange...to see how she advancing so much in this one-year time. She was such an innocent girl, known nothing about music, shy...and now, how she is growing up so fast (last year she begun with the 1/10 cello, now using 1/8 cello and soon will be changed with 1/4), and most important thing...she's not shy at all to play in front of the public.

Thanks to Sara and all her students who always give their full support to Regina.
