Kids Can Press Ltd., a division of Corus Entertainment Inc., and the leading Canadian publisher of children?s books, is seeking a Rights Manager.&lt;br&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Rights Manager will work as part of the Rights team to achieve sales objectives. This is a hands-on job in a creative, busy environment that will enable the right candidate to flourish and succeed. If you have proven experience in driving rights revenue in the publishing industry, we would like to hear from you.&lt;br&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
Responsibilities:&lt;br&gt; 
?	Overseeing and managing all international rights sales activities to achieve annual financial targets, including:&lt;br&gt; 
o	managing on-going relationships with existing customers;&lt;br&gt;
o	generating new business;&lt;br&gt;
o	negotiating contracts;&lt;br&gt;
o	co-ordinating sales efforts with subagents;&lt;br&gt;
o	attending international Book Fairs as required&lt;br&gt; 
?	Managing day-to-day functioning of Rights Department, including:&lt;br&gt; 
o	Forecasting revenue and managing departmental expenses;&lt;br&gt; 
o	overseeing internal staff;&lt;br&gt;
o	liaising with production and other internal departments as necessary.&lt;br&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
Required skills and qualifications:&lt;br&gt;
?	Proven ability to deliver bottom line results&lt;br&gt;
?	Rights and/or sales experience across a wide variety of channels (co-editions, licensing, book clubs, permissions)&lt;br&gt;
?	Excellent presentation and negotiation skills&lt;br&gt;
?	Proven ability to interact and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization and with external clients&lt;br&gt;
?	Experience with and understanding of licensing agreements and print production&lt;br&gt;
?	Knowledge of publishing industry (domestic and international)&lt;br&gt;
?	University education coupled with minimum three years relevant experience&lt;br&gt; 
?	Proficiency in Excel and ability to learn new database programs&lt;br&gt;
?	Fluency in French or another language would be an asset&lt;br&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
