TCBY recently launched its new frozen yogurt truck platform in Charlotte, North Carolina, as part of its strategic expansion. The mobile truck model is the first of its kind and will meet the demands of customers who want more accessibility to TCBY's healthy product offerings.

The truck features four flavors swirling with a rotating variation of TCBY's extensive product line, including yogurt flavors low in fat, fat free, or no sugar added, in addition to a non-dairy, fat-free sorbet. The TCBY truck also offers a wide range of toppings.

Fast Casual Strengthens, Led by Panera, Five Guys

Fast-casual chains strengthened their gains on the overall restaurant industry, with the top 150 fast-casual chains growing 8.4 percent to $21.5 billion in 2011, a faster rate than in 2010 (6.6 percent). In comparison, 2011 sales growth for the Top 500 U.S. chains was 3.5 percent.

Wisconsin native Brian Herczeg and his partners–father Les Herczeg, sister Christina Herczeg, and brother-in-law Matt Walsh–will be opening their first Cousins Subs location at 5350 W. Bell Road, Suite 130, Glendale, Arizona, 85308. Walsh will be leading the efforts as part owner and manager of the new store.

Milio’s Sandwiches Brings Back Mediterranean Trio

A privileged few of us are lucky enough to jet off to Greece or Malta for the summer, but for those left behind, Milio’s Sandwiches is reintroducing its popular Mediterranean sandwich trio, which will be available systemwide between May 21 and Aug. 12.

The trio consists of the veggie hummus supreme and the turkey titan, both featuring black olives and Milio’s original red pepper hummus, and the Mediterranean beef, featuring a spicy Mediterranean relish. Each sandwich will be available for $5.29.
