I'm laying in bed suffering from a slight cold. The weather outside is beautiful and reminds me of a trip to Paris some years ago. The skies were clear and the temperature was, well, perfect. I'm revisiting pictures from the past and wanted to share.

The views of the city were just what you see in these pictures, amazing. There was a glow that surrounded everything. The experiences of that one week have stayed with me. I can still smell the fresh bread baking at the boulangerie down the street. The thought of croissants and piping hot cafe au lait are making my mouth water.

I remember walking through the city and breathing in pure inspiration. Yes, the grand sites, such as the Lourve, Notre Dame, and the Musee de l'Orangerie, were all jaw dropping. But, even now, I think I took as much pleasure just observing Parisians going about their daily lives. Well, maybe tasting all the fantastic confections was what sent my love for Paris over the top. I'll share some of the pastry pictures another time. For now, I think I have enough motivation to get up and start enjoying this beautiful day.

Strawberry season is upon us and I've missed the Florida Strawberry Festival again. I always seem to remember when it is too late. Maybe I'll make it calendar appointment for next year. On the bright side, I am enjoying these lovely beauties from the local market. Extra sweet and juicy.

Our four year wedding anniversary is this month. I'm going through our wedding photos and picking out a few to get blown up. Looking through all the pictures I found these pictures of my shoes. I'd share some wedding photos but I'm not ready to put something that personal out there just yet. However, I had to share at least this much. I love these pair of shoes. About a month ago my husband and I visited California. It was the first time I have ever traveled to the western United States. We flew into San Francisco only to stay a few nights and then drove out to the Napa wine country area. I must have taken over two thousand pictures with my new camera. Along with my new camera I also bought Photoshop Elements. So,this picture was one of the first utilizing both new toys. I must add, as you can see from this picture, that quantity is definitely not quality. I have so much to learn to create truly great pictures. Not to mention a good macro lens would have helped this shot.
