Your objective is to get to your destination (state the obvious) before the time runs out (woo! scary) The only thing that is stopping you is lack of vision. You are able to see one step ahead of you but no more. You must get to your destination before the time runs out, will you accept the challenge?

Your final defense against "sleeping in"

How many times have you woken up late and blamed your alarm clock? You discover that you’ve turned off the alarm while half asleep! This happens all too often because the snooze button turns itself off and we fall back to sleep. puZZed is the next innovative application from qbotron that is meant to eliminate this problem. Once your alarm goes off, puZZed will present you with a puzzle to solve before you can turn off that annoying alarm. puZZed will ensure you exercise your brain, forcing you to think clearly before you can turn it off. You’d better wake up, the puzzles will be impossible to solve if you’re still asleep! Once the alarm sounds, you will need to successfully solve the puzzle to turn it off and, before you know it, you’ll be wide awake. Simply insert the time you want to wake up into the app and switch it on – puZZed will help to ensure you never wake up late again! **Please note: 1. The purpose of the puzzles is NOT to entertain but to get you up in the morning :) 2. We are open for game suggestions to insert in future releases of puZZed so please don’t hesitate to send us those ideas! 3. If you’re not quite sure how to use the app, please send us email and we’ll explain it thoroughly!

Instructions/trouble shooting

Below is the complete list of steps you should take to successfully set up the app!

- Open the app

- Click on Set Alarm button

- Click on Choose Alarm Tone button

- Select your own music file (.mp3) from your SD card

- Set up volume + vibration mode - Press "Try" button to check it works without error then close the screen (remember, select music from SD card!)

- Once your back to the main screen, change the Current Status to "ON", change your Alarm time to several minutes in the future (for testing purposes), select a puzzle

- Exit by selecting "close" from menu

- Wait several minutes for puZZed to start (will most likely have to grant permission)

- Change the Alarm time to the time you want to wake up tomorrow morning

- Sleep

- Get woken up by puZZed then write review and purchase additional puzzles.

- Contact support@qbotron.com if ANY problem arise

Latest feature addition: The Ultimate Feature

We've received comments from small number of you about the app being too easily turned off, by reinserting the battery.

Our solution to this problem is The Ultimate Feature which allows the app to recognize the reinserting the battery and take action upon restart of your BlackBerry. With The Ultimate Feature turned on, the app will continue the alarm upon restart of your phone, making it impossible to turn off the alarm unless you solve the puzzle! It's one more way for us to annoy you in the morning!

We hope The Ultimate Feature can get the small number of you (lazy users) to actually wake up in the morning! Please shoot us an email if you have interesting/funny episode in the morning by using puZZed!

The general session/keynote of the BlackBerry DevCon Americas 2011 in San Francisco have just finished. After listening for full 3 hours it was good to see that the company's spirit was still very high. With introduction of BBX (new line of BlackBerry OS), BlackBerry Balance, apps by TAT, and bunch of high quality games being released to the PlayBook, RIMs future definitely looks bright.

Drop a stamp on everybody

1. Great imagination (To create funny memes) 2. Balls (To share to your friends) 3. BlackBerry App World 2.1+ (To download additional stamps)

To stamp: 1. Exit the app 2. Click the BlackBerry button (menu), 3. Click “Stamp It!” Once you see the green cursor you can move it using your track ball/pad. Stamp by pressing either the “P” or “Q” keys. To shuffle through the available Stamped images, press the “p” or “q” keys repeatedly without moving the location of the cursor. To undo, change item, save, send, or clear all: click the BlackBerry button (menu) - this will bring up all available features. You will be able to browse/purchase additional stamp collections inside your app: click the “Browse Items” button. All available collections (free and for purchase) for your app are coloured green and collections that can still be purchased are coloured red. Selecting a collection will display item info and all Stamps found with each collection. Purchase the collection by clicking “Purchase This Item” at the bottom of the info screen. Do you have an idea in mind? Before you forget your train of thought, you find the MemoPad application on your BlackBerry. You search through the home screen and the various folders needed to find and open the application. You jot down whatever it is that’s on your mind but before you can exit, you are required to title your quick idea.

InstaNote is a creative new application from qbotron that will add greater convenience and ease for those of you who want to dodge the current steps needed to access the MemoPad application. Once InstaNote is installed, you can set the left convenience key of your BlackBerry to launch InstaNote. You can then simply press and start typing your thoughts down right away. The best part is, InstaNote is deeply integrated with the native MemoPad application!

With InstaNote the process of saving text is simple:
1. Start InstaNote (convenience key)
2. Start typing (no title necessary)
3. Close to save (no prompt to save)

(It can be set in options - Screen/Keyboard - "Left Side Convenience Key Opens:")

I frequently take naps and I’m sure that lot of you do as well. When I nap though, I constantly find myself setting the alarm clock – sometimes forgetting to change the alarm back to the time I need to wake up in the morning.

As we live our daily lives we are often given tasks to finish by a certain due date – whether it be from school, work, or simply random occurrences in our lives. Some of us enter these tasks into our NoteIt app, others enter tasks into their Task or Calendar app.

Although NoteIt works to provide the fastest method of entering given tasks into a Blackberry, it does not offer any type of organization feature. The opposite is true for the native Task and Calendar app as it provides the option to organize in great detail but takes a while to enter each event.

As you might have guessed, TheBirthdayApp helps remind you of the birthdays of your family and friends.

The steps to take to use the TheBirthdayApp is extremely simple and fast. Simply download + install, then open up the app to turn the app on and specify how many days in advance you would like to be notified - user programmable from one month to the day before the birthday. Once you exit, the app will do the rest by itself!

No need to insert your contacts' birthdays, TheBirthdayApp will automatically identify the birthdays you already have for your contacts inside your addressbook application.

Unlike all other reminder applications, ThBirthdayApp will NOT continuously run in the background. It will only turn itself on to inform you of any birthdays - this means your battery life is completely safe!
