I love wearing heels. They make me feel sexy, they make my legs look lean, and they make my petite 5'4" frame appear taller. However there's nothing more comfortable than a great pair of sneakers. I've had these in my closet for years and now that sneakers are taking the fashion scene by storm, I decided to dust them off and reintroduce them to the world.

I've had these socks sitting in my closet for quite some time now and finally found a way to wear them to be able to show them off without looking too ridiculous...in my opinion anyway :)

My sister and her new husband, they got married this past September, hosted Christmas Eve dinner at their new home for the first time as husband and wife. I wanted to give them something to celebrate and what better gift than a beautiful Christmas tree ornament that they will cherish every year. I came across this blogpost and couldn't have found a more perfect idea. Their wedding invitation cut into quarter inch strips and then rolled on a pencil. Stuffed into an empty Christmas glass ornament and voila, a keepsake that they will have for many more Christmas's to come.

They loved it and it looked fabulous on their Christmas tree.

I know you guys are anticipating an outfit post but I have been extremely sick with the worst case of stomach flu. It ruined my Holidays :( Today is the first day in a week that I feel somewhat normal again. So no outfit post today but I have something better...pics of my meatball's first birthday held on December 30th. We had a great time at Le Petit Gym. My stomach was queasy but no way in hell I was going to miss this big rainbow themed day!

where have u been?

People have been asking me if everything is ok, why haven't I been blogging, where have I been...??? I'm doing fine, Liam's doing fine, the whole family is great. The reasons behind my absence:

I have had the most terrible cough and cold that I've ever had in my life. It's been a week now and it's still not completely gone. I'm od'ing on Benylin. Liam has also been sick and his molars are coming in..not fun!
Last week was the end of my mat leave and my first week back at work which means...no time, no TIME, NO TIME!!!! By the time I get home and finish everything I have to do, I'm beat. Especially worse now, seeing as my cold has taken over my entire body.
It's way too cold outside to take pictures and I get home when the sun has already set making it impossible to take well lit photos.

So as you can see, all the odds were against me these past 2 weeks.

In conclusion, I'm now feeling better as is Liam so that's good news. As of Friday, I will be on holidays for 2 weeks which means outfit pics overload for you guys. And at the top of my Christmas wish list, a soft box. Maybe that'll help me achieve great indoor photos.

I also wanted to show you guys Liam skating for the very first time at 11 1/2 months old. Andrew's work throws an annual Christmas party for the children of the employees which consists of Santa Clause, gifts, fun and games, etc. Coincidently, on Liam's first attendance, this year they brought in a synthetic ice rink. Being a hockey fanatic and a goal tender himself, Andrew was ecstatic!

You can just imagine how proud Andrew was and still is :)
