According to Drake a joint album with he and Wayne is in the works. He stated when he went to visit Wayne during his incarceration at Rikers.

“I went up to Rikers, and me and Wayne agreed that there will be a Lil Wayne/ Drake album,” Drake told DJ Envy on MTV2′s “Sucker Free.” “There’s some things I’m excited for in my life — I’m excited to go perform certain places — but [this project] will probably be one of the most exciting things in my life, because we make music on a different level. It’s just so fun, so comfortable. A whole album? To think about all the things we can do, especially if we’re gonna do 15 songs. Me and him don’t like to do 12, 13 [songs]. We want to do 15, 16. Yeah, Lil Wayne and Drake album.”

Wayne is only featured once on Drake’s debut album, Thank Me Later,which drops June 15.

Drake – Sucker Free – MTV Shows

The Cash Money superstar and Drizzy collaborated on a number of projects in the past, including Drake’s mixtapes Comeback Season and So Far Gone, in addition to the Young Money compilation released last year. But this will be the first time the two MCs pair up for their own project.

Last year, while on the verge of inking his deal, Drake told MTV News about his career ambitions and said Lil Wayne would be a part of them for a long time.

“I plan to work with Wayne for the rest of my career, so I think it’s a smart career move,” he said. “You know, everybody else [on Young Money] will hopefully work out the situations, get the right people on the album. I think it was important for me to show him that I believed in him as much as he believed in me. Because a lot of months, he stuck his neck out there for me, you know with the VMAs [where Lil Wayne rapped Drake's verse from 'Money to Blow' at the beginning of his performance of 'Misunderstood'] and then ‘Ransom,’ and all the songs that we put out. And the things he would say in interviews, he really put himself out there for me. So I think it was only just and fair to show him that I feel the same way.”

This weekend I had a conversation with myself… Yes myself. I came to the conclusion on a couple things… For one I think people dont like the way I f*ckin operate… Seriously. Like what moves me and drives me can be some of the simplest things… But people steadily try and bring me down via formspringme… I cant really grasp that form of hating because its anonymous… It just looks like computer talkin a whole bunch of shit to me cause idk who’s saying it… If you know me personally you know I have a thick outer and inner emotional core. Very few people know how to break it. Second… why do people tweet to themselves? I cant grasp that shit either… Like its kinda funny to me I guess. Another… Lately I have been on a high. This Friday I spent it walking all over downtown with Indigo and went to a spot where I had my first photoshoot at… Quite relaxing. Discussed life and what not. See… things like that calm me. They also give me a rush… If that makes since. I have been in touch with my innovative side as well. Sad to say but cutting off a lot of people really helped. You view it as bitter I look at it like growing up. No hard feelings towards people but they just seem stuck to me. No progression… and it irritates me. Shallow? Hmm idk… Maybe. But it is what it is. You ever feel like you are just not meant to be in certain situations? Like a job? or emotional or financial position? It’s ok to have cocky conversations with yourself… That ish amps you up! Lol no lie. But watch it… dont let the rest of the world see it. Some people may not like it… But yea just had to resist from biting my tongue and say some of the things I was thinking of over the weekend.

Sometimes I be feelin like the odd one out. The one that people look at and always got something to say but saying it to everyone but me. Seriously. I dont cry for sympathy, im not a dick rider, I dont live on pipe dreams… But there are people. These people. People that do have these standards. Its disgusting. Lately I have been solo. Not by choice. But cause I have to be in a sense. Shit doesn’t bug me really. I think having a cocky and arrogant exterior makes up for the emotions I lack and support I need to feel on the interior. A lot of people dont know their role before they start acting. Meaning they are out of place and dont even know it. Found themselves then lost it. I guess we all have our moments. Cause I know somedays I be feelin on top of the world and other days I feel like I just live on it. Regardless of my current stature its always growing… amplifying. So much I want to unleash on this world coming from a mental perspective… I see my vision. I want you all to as well.

But that is all for now. I just had to vent for a quick second.

As much hard work as Jay-Z & his wife Beyonce put in to maintain their level of success, it’s only right that the powercouple takes some time off to enjoy the Memorial Day Weekend themselves. The two were pictured in the Bahamas at the five star hotel called the Ocean Club. They both look quite comfortable and relaxed, taking in the holiday weekend just like they should. It’s also great that instead of doing a show or some type of performance for the holiday, they can just enjoy it and take a breather. Hopefully they didn’t get mobbed by fans. Drake & Lebron On Stage!

The other night Lebron James played the role of Drakes “Hypeman” at a show in Cleveland for Z107.9. Drake brought out Lebron about half way through his show and addressed the crowd saying “See me and Lebron, we have something mutually in common. We both love women… a lot. We are both mature individuals but I feel like if we were the type to trick on a girl, this would be the song we’d sing to her.” Following that Fabolous’ “Throw It In The Bag” soon followed, while Drake & Lebrons momma Gloria rapped every lyric Lebron tossed in a few “hey’s and hoes” (not literally on the hoes part).

Shortly Drake then brought a woman on stage to slow dance and seduce her then looking at Lebron saying “I cant do this with you up here” before Lebron went off stage.

Wheres A Response On Thank Me Later Leakage?

If your a fan of Drake you know that 5-6 of the songs off his album Thank Me Later is set for a release of June 15th. Thats all fine and what not but I am curious as to why so many songs have been leaked. Only 12 songs occupy the album and some of the most anticipated ones have been leaked such as “Light It Up” featuring Jay-Z & “Fireworks” Featuring Alicia Keys. Was it on purpose? Or accidental? I haven’t seen a response from Drake recently on why but I kind of wish so many songs weren’t leaked.

On a side note: Is Drake a better Mixtape/featuring artist than a full blown recording artist? Thoughts please…

The Dream On His Career, Aaliyah, & More!

Just A Reality Check. Long But Worth It!

So last night I had a intense conversation with a person that obtains alot of

wisdom and knowledge about life itself, and the luxuries, and problems that come

with it. I realized that I need to hold myself on the highest pedestal… above

everyone else. You only live once and if you think your the best you WILL be

the best no doubt about it. So if im holding myself to the highest expectations why

not hold the people around me that high? For instance… Women. If your

gonna make your self available and accessible and un-exclusive to every guy what’s gonna make

the one you want want you? What’s gonna make him want you if your tryna hook up with guys?

Not even for sex but just trying to hang and all that and you may end up doing

something dumb? If your talkin to a bunch of guys and think that shit is koo then

by all means go ahead but your not making yourself a challenge anymore. If your

gonna go for the next man rather than someone who has ALOT of shit going for

them and you know it but you blow it off then go ahead at the end of the day

when you turn 22-25 ish you will be regretting it (general statement… that was

NOT directed towards anyone.) So yea you should feel your too good for that male or female. I would want

someone who feels she is to good for that as well.

Someone who is gonna go hard for you just as hard as you will go for them, someone

who will have your back when you most need it and make the words “i” and you” irrelevant but “us” relevant. Who

loves you with all your flaws and all.

From my understanding the saying goes “you will never loose love chasing

money, but always loose money chasing love.” Now

another thing is class… Handle situations like it doesnt even phase you… if

someone is getting out of line with you than you handle it and say “usually id go

off…( pause)… but because im smart and have more respect for myself ima let this one slide,

but i suggest you tone it down” and walk off… You will feel alot better about

yourself rather than trying to fight…

Some people dont know how to turn that on and off. Personality opens the

door… But your character can close it quicker than you opened it. Some people

minimize themselves to one standard in life… And its kind of sad… When people

have money they are content… Its a select few who think “ok I got money, now

how am I gonna make this money multiply into more money?” Most usually just

wanna get by… You dont wanna get by… You wanna get over! If you ask someone “what have you been up to?” most will say “Just

work… Im just kind of focusing on that right now” But realistically its

IMPOSSIBLE to focus on just one thing… There may be certain degrees of

focus on certain things but all in all everything is still needing to be focused on…

#1. Cleanliness: Thats the first step… you cant save the world if you dont make

your bed… Meaning if you dont do the little necessary steps to get your day

started than you wont be able to complete the large task… Why do you think the

Armed Forces make their bed EVERY morning before going to save the

world?? #2. Health: Point blank take care of yourself: #3. Finances: Dont just get

by… get over! If you give a little you will receive alot more. Every 60-90 days a

person should change something about themselves wether it be a major change

or a huge change. So dedicate a season of your life to something, or someone

and watch the results… Some of them can be catastrophic.

Now back to the subject of women… Its kind of like this… your looking for the pedigree

of women. What is that? Ill give you 3 examples… You got Rihanna, Beyonce, &

Lauren London… Out of those 3 who is the pedigree? Sure Lauren London is

fine, Rihanna is exotic, but Beyonce is a woman! She made us believe she was a

full grown woman at the age of 17. So true her and Jay-Z arent the typical couple but he makes

Beyonce feel powerful and she does with him as well so dont hate people c’mon

now! The things she brings to the table are not something that most women can

do… Im not sayin go lookin for a Beyonce.. but more so a woman who brings shit to the

table, who has motivation, class, inner and outer beauty, who is focusing on

more than one thing and can still maintain a relationship, someone who will go

above and beyond. Not just go the distance… Actions speak louder than

words… So yea women will begin to notice when a guy doesnt have shit… Sure

being the ages between 16-20 it will appear that someone is truly doin somethin

with their life but as you get older you realize and think to yourself “what is the

person doin for me?” Too many people try to be different they end up being the

same because everyone is trying to be different… Just be YOU… Who cares

what others think.

Mr. West Comes With Power And Then Some!

Ahh yes he is back! I saved this blog for the end of the night strickly for the fact that I wanted to let the song sink in. (Not to mention I was busy most of the day so I couldnt post when I wanted too). Nonetheless it has no less of importance… Kanye West does a Good Ass Job on his single “Power” featuring Dwele. What I appreciate most about this record is he released it in a time that most artist are afraid to release music with new artist so mainstream now such as Drake, Wale, J. Cole, etc… This proves he is still a contender. Good to know Ye can still spit fire with ease and release the track and Twitter goes NUTS! #Kanye & #KanyeQuotes were trending for quite sometime earlier today & me being the huge fan I am I was right in there with them. One of my favorite lines from Ye is from a song called “Last Call” “Killin yal ni**as on this lyrical sh*t! Mayonnaise colored Benz I push miracle wips!” Fire huh?! I have no doubt that this album will be anything short of amazin. Kanye is a genius. Said to be one of the most influential people of all time. I recall in a interview in New Zealand he stated and im paraphrasing but it went something like “I want to make timeless music. Michael Jackson, The Beatles and what guys of that caliber made music that never goes out of style. I want to be up there with those guys. I am up there with those guys.” His cockyness and arrogance is what makes him and makes him deliver. I really cant wait for a video or another single. 2010 is gonna be a good year for rap. Im waiting to see what’s next!
