I recently read Surprise Me! By Sophie Kinsella. This story follows Sylvia and Dan as well as their twin daughters. Sylvia and Dan have been happily married for a long time. During an insurance physical exam it is suggested that they are both going to live an extremely long time. This statement makes the couple think about how they feel about their marriage, their life and their family.

I absolutely adored this story. I found myself actually laughing out loud while reading it. Ms. Kinsella has an amazing way of making her characters seem like they can be anyone of us! She tells an amazing story, while adding comical relief as well. I cannot wait to read her future works!

Good In Bed by Jennifer Weiner

I recently reread Jennifer Weiner’s Good In Bed.

It recently had its 15 year publishing anniversary. This story was one of the first books by Ms. Weiner I read, and the first book she wrote.. This story follows Cannie Shapiro’s life as a reporter, daughter, friend. Cannie is not the stereotype model woman.. She calls her self “Plus Size,” and she is perfectly fine with that (as everyone should be). One day she finds an article that was written by her ex boyfriend that is about her. She then begins a quest to live an amazing life.

This is a one of a kind, absolutely refreshing story. The character represents real qualities that most women feel and are. Ms. Weiner’s writing is excellent. She is able to give them story such meaning and power while using humor. It is definitely a story that you won't be able to put down. If you haven't read any of Ms. Weiner’s stories yet this is a great one to start with.

I recently read My Not So Perfect Life by Sophie Kinsella.

This story follows Katie Brenner whose social media gives the illusion that she moved to a big city and lives a fabulous life. She has a beautiful apartment, and a great job. In reality, her life isn't what it seems. She has issues with her suite mates, her boss takes advantage of her and she doesn't have much of a personal life. After a big situation nearly destroys her she takes a trip and begins to fib about her life. You'll have to read it to find out what happens.

This story is the perfect light, fun read. Perfect for a “beach read.” It was truly pure entertainment. Ms. Kinsella has a very unique way of writing characters so they can easily be relatable. The story is very well developed too. I highly recommend every one read this book. I am looking forward to reading her future works.

A Shoe Addicts Christmas by Beth Harbison

I recently read A Shoe Addicts Christmas by Beth Harbison. This story follows Noelle after she is accidentally locked inside a department store where she happens to work. This prompts her to think about christmases both past an present with the help of a guardian angel.

Though the story was brief it was well written and descriptive. Characters were well developed. I always enjoy her stories, however this time I had a hard time connecting it to the Shoe Addicts series. It made me wonder if this novella was meant to set up a new series. I guess we shall wait and see. Be sure to read it and let me know what you think.

I recently read One Less Problem Without you by Beth Harbison.
This story follows three women, Preeny, Chelsea and Diana. Each have followed a different life path. When those paths cross goals and strengths become clear to lead the, where they should be.

I have to say I love Miss Harbison's recent titles. They remind me of some of my favorite songs. This story was very enjoyable and an easy, fun read. I hope all will enjoy. It shows the strength of women, how important friends are and how a strong support system is always a good thing to have. I highly recommend this story.

I recently red The Boy Is Back by Meg Cabot. This story follows former couple Becky Flowers and Reed Stewart. Becky and Reed grew up together. Following an unusual split, Becky remains in the town she grows up in. She works hard to grow a business. Soon her business world collides with her past. This is the first book in the "Boy Series" in several years. The story is written as if the characters were emailing or texting. This format allows for easy and fast reading. I always enjoy Ms. Cabots writing style. The Boy Series books are always a pleasure to read. I hope that she continues to write more in this style. This story was fantastic. The characters are very well developed too. I hope that all will enjoy as much as I did. I'm looking forward to reading her future works. ~I received a free ebook to review. The Pursuit by Janet Evanovich & Lee Goldberg

I recently read The Pursuit by Janet Evanovich and Lee Goldberg. This is the fifth book in the Fox O'Hare series. This story follows Agent O'Hare as she searches for kidnapped conman, friend and boyfriend Nick Fox. She travels to various countries during the search. Soon the meet a terrorist whose goal it is to unleash danger in public places. They team up with a wild group to help stop the terrorist.

This story contained a bit of all genres, comedy, mystery, crime, drama, and romance. Although I enjoyed the story it was not as good as the first free books. I felt like something was missing, but I could not figure out what. I am still looking forward to reading book six.

I recently read The Singles Game by Lauren Weisberger. This story follows tennis star Charlotte “Charlie” Silver though tournaments, life and obstacles. Hoping things will change for the better she decides to change coaches. Soon her lie is filled upside down.

This story was good. I have to admit that I was hesitant at first because I do not know anything about tennis, luckily that didn't matter much. Ms. Weisberger explained the tennis terms so they were easy to understand. This story was not as good as her previous stories, but still an enjoyable summer read. It almost felt like something was missing from the story, although I did find it slightly predictable. Maybe Ms. Weisberger's next book will be better. I am still looking forward to reading her future works.

Curious Minds by Janet Evanovich and Phoef Sutton

I recently read Curious Minds by Janet Evanovich and Phoef Sutton. This is the first book in the Knight and Moon Series. This story follows banker, Riley Moon and eccentricity Emmerson Knight. Mr. Knight is a rich man who recently took over his families fortune. He decides that he wants to see his family fortune in gold. Ms. Riley is sent to his house from the bank. Through a series of events they discover gold is missing. They then go on the hunt to find the gold and capture the culprits.

I love reading Janet Evanovich. As with her other books this was a light, fun book with some mystery. The characters reminded me of several of her other books. Ms. Evanovich's fans definately will not be disappointed with this book. I had a very hard time putting it down. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

Royal Day Out by Meg Cabot

I recently read Royal Day Out by Meg Cabot. This is a short story From The Notebooks of a Middle School Princess series. This series follows characters from the original Princess Diaries series, but focuses on Olivia Grace Clarisse Mignonette Harrison, the long lost half sister of Mignonette Grimaldi Thermopolis Renaldo also known as Mia Thermopolis. Thanks to paparazzi Olivia has been stuck in the castle. As Mia's upcoming wedding approaches their Grandmerè plans a day out, but things do not go as planned.

Being that this is a short story it's hard to write a summary without giving the whole story away. I love Meg Cabot's books. As I have previously said she is the reason I love reading. I love being able to revisit the family that started it all. Be sure to check out all of Ms. Cabot's books, which include children's series, young adult and adult series.

First Comes Love by Emily Giffin

I recently read First Comes Love by Emily Giffin. This story follows sisters who are opposite in almost every way. A family tragedy brings them further apart. As the anniversary of the tragedy gets closer many feelings, issues and memories arise. This story follows the sisters journey during trying times.

This book brought an full range of emotions. Part of what makes Ms. Giffin a fantastic author is that her stores almost feel real. The characters could very easily be your family, friends, co-workers. The events that take place could be courting your lives. I truly enjoyed reading it. It's a fantastic story and a will be a great "beach read." I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did.

Remembrance by Meg Cabot

I recently read Remembrance by Meg Cabot. This is the seventh book in the Mediator series, and the first since 2004. I grew up reading Ms. Cabot's books. When I was in middle school I absolutely loved this series, 1-800-Missing and my personal favorite, The Princess Diaries. In fact it was The Princess Diaries series that started my reading obsession. I was so excited when I read that Ms. Cabot was going to be publishing several new books over the course of a few months.

Remembrance brings back mediator Suze and her ghost boyfriend Jesse. They are all grown up now, and recently engaged. Jesse is in medical school and Suze is studying to be a counselor and currently working at her old high school. It is there that she descovers a soul that is attached to a student. This ghost begins to reek havoc on the school, the student and Suze. Personal demons also known as old classmates return too. This leads to interesting twists, turns and surprises.

I absolutely loved this book! It was so nice to revisit my middle school years, but have the characters age with me. There were many surprises, some seem to leave the series open for future books and possibly a spin off series. I highly recommend this series and I hope that there will be more.

Meg Cabot also has a prequel entitled, The Proposal available now. I highly suggest you read all of the Mediator books.

The Scam by Janet Evanovich and Lee Goldberg

I recently read The Scam by Janet Evanovich and Lee Goldberg. This is the fourth book in the Fox and O’Hare series. This story follows FBI agent O’Hare while she “chases” Nick Fox, at least that's what most of the FBI thinks. She actually works with Fox and the FBI to recover items and money that were illegally taken. In this story O’Hare and Fox enter the world of gambling in order to uncover money laundering. It's a scam that leads the two to different countries and many under cover operations. Their only back up is a highly unusual mix of people.

I almost always enjoy Ms. Evanovich’s books. They are fun, and entertaining along with mystery. The story was great! I love the will they or won't they aspect of Fox and O’Hare’s relationship. I enjoyed this book and cannot wait for her next one! Mr. Goldberg has written some of my favorite tv shows. I have been enjoying his books too. I look forward to reading more.

Killing Monica by Candace Bushnell

I recently read Killing Monica by Candace Bushnell. This story follows writer Pandy Wallis, AKA PJ Wallis. PJ writes a character named Monica that is somewhat based on her. Monica has become very popular and has had several movies made about her. People love the character, while PJ on the other hand is ready to move on and write something more meaningful. Her publisher would like her to keep writing Monica. At the same time that her publisher is trying her to keep writing Monica her husband is also pushing her to continue, but his reasoning behind it is not what it should be.

I really enjoyed this book. As I was reading I could not help but wonder if Ms. Bushnell experienced something similar with her publisher after Sex and The City. Overall, Killing Monica was a great story. I honestly was surprised by the ending. It was definitely something I didn't see it coming! Make sure you read the story to the end!

Turn Back Time by Beth Harbison

I recently read Turn Back Time by Beth Harbison. We have all had days we wish we were back in the "good old days" of high school. We also have the days and times we wish never happened. This story follows Ramie Phillips. Ramie seems to have everything she could want, or does she? She starts to want more. While on a trip for her birthday she has an accident and wakes up back in high school. She has a chance to relive life, but will she make the same decisions she previously made, or will she choose a different option and change her future?

I am new to reading Ms. Harbison's books. So far I have not been disappointed. I honestly did not know what to expect. I thought it was a slightly odd premise. However once I started reading I could not put it down. It made me think about events and choices I have made in the past. If I had the chance to re-live a situation would I still make the same choice I made, or would I choose a different path? It has been a while since I read a fun, enjoyable book that made me think so much. I highly recommend this story.

Wicked Charms by Janet Evanovich

I recently read Wicked Charms by Janet Evanovich. This story follows Lizzy and Diesel to obtain the Stone of Avarice. It begins when Lizzy accidentally discovers a body and a piece of coin. The coin is a small clue that will help her find the stone. The coin pieces causes people to become filled with greed. In the process of searching fun ensues.

I love this story. As with Ms. Evanovich’s other stories this book contains the right amount of fun, mystery, romantic twists and hysterical antics. I always enjoy her books. I cannot wait for her next one! I highly recommend that you read this book, but remember it is a series. If you have not read this series start with book one, Wicked Appetite. Enjoy.

This story follows Lucy. She is the assistant for Katherine Whitney. Katherine runs her own company, is a wife and mother and is about to add author to her biography. Her book is about how to balance life and work, something she seems to be having issues accomplishing. She becomes extremely dependent on her assistant Lucy who is soon faced with a difficult decision after a situation arises.

Most people aren't strangers to the the dream of having it all. People often try, and each of us handle it in a very different way. Some are successful, some are not. How one approaches the situation can lead to many different outcomes. This story shows how one approach can affect several lives.

Summer Secrets by Jane Green

As part of Booksparks summer Reading Challenge I recently read Summer Secrets by Jane Green. This story follows Catherine Coombs, living in London as she tries to deal with stress by drinking. She soon begins thinking about how she feels the next day, the choices and mistakes she has made and decides something has to change. This process is difficult because she does not believe that she truly has a problem. Life changing news and meeting someone starts to put her life into perspective, but will her sobriety last?

I loved this book. Ms. Green's story is very well written and draws so much emotion. It has twists and turns often surprising you with where the story seems to go. The characters are well developed. I recommend everyone read this book. It is the perfect story for pool/beach side reading.

When I last visited the world of Amelia Mignonette Grimaldi Thermapolis Renaldo, Princess of Genovia it was 2009. I loved her last set of diaries.

Although I knew it was the end of the line I hoped author, Meg Cabot would decide to go back to her life in the future. It seems like Ms. Cabot agreed. Not only is there a new young adult book, but there is also an adult book for the readers who grew up with Mia. I am very thankful to have been chosen one of the lucky few to obtain an advanced reader copy of Royal Wedding.

Royal wedding follows Princess Mia 5 years after graduating from college. She tries to balance running a community center, life with her boyfriend and being a Princess. Mia’s life is as crazy as ever and only gets worse as her grandmother tries to preplan her wedding and a big family secret is revealed.

This story is fantastic! I absolutely love that we had the chance to “watch” Mia grow up to becoming an adult as the series went on. Fans of the young adult books will NOT be disappointed! Once I started reading, I could not put it down. It is packed with all the funny aspects that the young adult books have along with the family drama brought on my both Mia’s Grandmother and her father. I absolutely loved it!

Everyone please pick up Royal Wedding in stores near you in June 2015. I hope that this and the upcoming young adult book, From the Notebooks of a Middle School Princess is not the last we see of the Renaldo family.

Neil Patrick Harris: Choose Your Own Autobiography

        As a young child I found a tv show about a young boy who was doctor.
Doogie Howser, M.D. quickly became one of my favorite tv shows. I watched it all the time. I had a video tape with several episodes and a Cher concert on it. It very rarely left my VCR. The day it got stuck and destroyed in my 1980's JVC VCR I was nearly devastated. Who knew at that point it would end up being about 15 years before I would get to see an entire episode again. As soon as it came out on DVD I made sure to get them. Soon after that they started airing it on TV too.

    In the years since Doogie Howser Neil Patrick Harris did many things, including tv shows, appearances on talk shows, movies, Broadway, host of many award shows and much more. At some point I started to see him appearing on commercials for a new TV show on CBS. I honestly did not think much of the show from the commercials, but decided to watch because a. NPH was in it and b. the girl from American Pie (Alyson Hannigan) was also in it, so with the two of them it has to be funny. Little did I know that How I Met Your Mother would become one of the funniest shows on TV, ultimately becoming legen...wait for it DARY! It quickly became my favorite TV show, but still for some strange reason I had the hardest time convincing my mother to watch it. It was not until our local newspaper did a story about the shows creators that my mother started watching. Why did she start? The creators grew up in my home town a few blocks from where I lived. We went to all the same schools, several years apart. The time she started was roughly around the time Lily & Marshall moved into the neighborhood (on tv anyway), although the images of the houses and town they showed looked nothing like the real thing. My mother started watching every episode! Didn't matter if it was new or syndication she had to watch it! I repeatedly began hearing "Why didn't I start watching this sooner." Back to NPH. on How I Met Your Mother he played Barney Stinson, who after "Suiting up" was a woman crazy person. He performance yielded many catchphrases that every time I hear someone say something similar will always make me think about HIMYM.

    Around the same time HIMYM announced when its final season would be, Regis left Live. NPH filled in so many times. The dynamic between him and Kelly Ripa was amazing. I was hoping (although not realistically) that some how NPH could do HIMYM, Live, star on Broadway, Host award shows, and live his personal life all at the same time. (Sorry Michael Strahan NPH was my first choice). He did not end up being host, but he is on a lot. He manages to live his life, care for gorgeous children, star on Broadway (most recently in Hedwig and the Angry Inch), as well as many other aspects of his life including writing an autobiography.

   I have to note, NPH's Choose Your Own Autobiography is the first (and most likely, only) biography I have ever wanted to read. I am honored that Random House publishers approved my request to review read and review NPH's new autobiography.

       I had a strong feeling that Choose Your Own Autobriography would be fun and exciting just like his personality appears to be on TV. After reading it I know now that to be true. The story has true adventures, as well as adventures you hope to be true and some that are just too crazy to believe for a second. I read and re-read the book three times, each time choosing a different option to learn more about the life of NPH. I absolutely loved his autobiography! Could not put it down!I am truly looking forward to reading any other books he writes as well as all the award shows he will host (Oscars February 22, 2015), tv shows & movies he will star in, along with anything else he does in the public eye. I hope to one day get to see him on Broadway (maybe he will go back to Hedwig).

    I highly recommend reading his book. I would suggest a hard or paperback version instead of an ebook as it was little confusing bouncing around to follow the adventure on an ebook.

Saving Grace by Jane Green

I recently read Saving Grace by Jane Green.

This story follows famous author Ted Chapman's wife Grace. Grace, a happy, loving wife and mother begins having difficulty with Teds mood swings once his assistant and her friend leaves the family. Grace starts to feel stressed until she finds a new assistant, Beth. Once Beth comes into Ted and Grace's life she starts to take over dealing with Ted as well as every day activities like paying bills. As time goes on Grace starts to realize Beth is not who she thought she was. Life soon begins to spiral out of control and brings up secrets from her past that she has kept hidden from her own family.

I was drawn into the lives of the characters from the very beginning of the story. The story itself defianely brings on emotions. I had the urge to scream at one character. I am trying not to give to much away, but once you read it you may feel the same way I did.

Ms. Green's writing always have a way of enticing such strong emotions.With each book it is clear she has grown as a person and as a writer. She is an excellent writer. I am looking forward to her next book, Summer Secrets currently scheduled to be published June 2015.

I recently red The Job by Janet Evanovich & Lee Goldberg. This is the third book in the Fox & O'Hare series. This story follows Kate O'Hare, an FBI agent and Nicholas Fox, criminal. The pair work together to solve a crimes, only this time they do not know who they are looking for.

I absolutely love Janet Evanovich's books. All are light, fun, usually funny movies. This book was the same. The story takes all over the world, leading Kate and Nick into often dangerous territory. Danger in many ways, physical safety and physical attraction .

This story is the perfect read! I hope that everyone picks it up!
